I didn’t have an end goal for my academic career until high school. High school was when I finally felt like was set out on my own, and when I began to use the basic knowledge I was taught to enhance myself, interact with people I never knew before, and follow the new rules. The world became considerably larger and so did my future. As my future became greater, my goals began to clear up and become more precise. I had the future career options of science or math to history or art. It took the four years to narrow down my paths to what I want and where I want to go.
High school was a long path of twists and turns to get where I am now. During my first year of high school I flew through my classes with all As, including an over A plus in my favorite class, geometry, and received an academic letter. I also began my first year of my main elective, Technical Theatre. Freshman year I participated in two sets of performances. I was a prop master for four student directed shows at the beginning of the year, and part of the run crew for the big musical at the end of the year. My crew was nominated for best run crew at a high school theatre competition, and won. The next year, I had more issues with my classes but had consistent As and Bs in all my classes. I took algebra two with trig to quicken my

I will work my entire life to give that opportunity to my peers and to those following in my footsteps. I plan to work while I am in school so I don’t have to wait years after I graduate from college to pay back my debt. I’d prefer to use more of my time studying rather than working so I can get great grades and use more of my time gaining more knowledge in the short years I will have at college. Any amount of money will make a difference in the time I have to gain more experience and in the end it will help with my path for
My College and Career goals include graduating college and getting a job. I wish to attend the University of Alabama. I plan to major in occupational therapy or speech therapy. I wish to receive this job in my degree's field. After receiving this job I wish to improve to reach a leadership role.
It was an warm sunny day I was dabbing it ,four boys were strolling down woods street. There four boys names were Mac,dope boy ,devin and Shaddy. Devin was the smartest one out of all of them hood boys, the rest was the same.Devin was ready to start his own business selling shoes.Dope boy,Mac and Shaddy were going on the wrong path selling drugs, robbing and beating up people. Devin would hang around with them often and conversed with them, but he would not do any bad things. Mac has been a dad already, he had to take care of his 2 year old. Dope boy had an older brother, but, he go shoot a couple weeks ago. Dope boy was reckless, everyone was scared of him even his own mother feared for his life .Shaddy was the slickest one out of all of then, he would get away with everything he did.Shaddy was a only child ,no mother, no father living with his grandparents and living in the worst part of town.
"I'm so glad we can finally move into an actual house than an apartment." Kyle Sapienti, soon to be Stump, smiled and said. He traced the date on the calendar behind Patrick. September ninth, two thousand fifteen. Kyle moved away from it then grabbed the last bag of his from the apartment and packed it into his car. Patrick was taking Kyle's car with him because his car was already at the new house.
By the end of the week detention was getting so absolutely frustrating I felt like breaking the teachers neck every time I heard her exhale.
As soon as I got to high school, everyone started asking me what I wanted to do after high school and what my goals were. What high school freshman knows what they want to do with their life? Very few, and I wasn’t one of them. I always knew that I would probably do something in the health field, partly because that’s what my dad did, but also because I’ve always had a heart for helping people, especially children. It wasn’t, however, until Junior year when I got my first job that I knew what I wanted to pursue as a career. Now before I go into what that career choice is and why, there is something which the reader must understand. My dad went to college and got his Master’s degree, my mom only had her high school diploma. Both of my parents agreed that all of their children should go to college, so for me the question wasn’t “should I go to college?”, but rather, “where should I go, what should I do, and how will I stay out of debt?”
*BANG* I smirked as I flipped the guard onto the mat punching him as he went down. He was not as bad of an opponent as I expected when he challenged me this morning, but in the end I ended up winning. As always. I sighed as I watched him lay there out of breath, I just wanted something harder, something that would get my parents’ attention once and for all.
"Things end, but memories last forever." My weekend was sure to prove that. Even though the seniors of 2016 are in readiness to graduate we will most definitely miss these times consumed together. On top of my roof, we sat chattering about what we are going to do after senior year. We discussed about how May 21, 2016, would arrive way before we wanted it to come upon us; once that day comes, we will realize only then that we might never see everyone out of our class again. As we all were articulating about how college will be contrary, how we will study so much more, and how tough it really might be; we promised to never drift apart from the best friends that we are. Finally, two a.m. crept up on us, and we knew it was time to get some
If someone would have told me five years ago that I would be going to college to become a teacher, I more than likely would have laughed right to their face. I have nothing against teachers it just never seemed like a career, that I would purse and enjoy. I actually did not plan on going to college because I honestly had no idea what I would pursue in college. I did not make a final decision about my career path until my last year of high school. I just had too many things going on in my personal life to even think about my life after high school.
The school bell rang as students were eager to leave either to hang out with friends or just go home after a long day at school. Students from every direction rushing to their cars or trying to catch the bus was usually an everyday seeing. Some staying for after school tutorials or even after school clubs. Others not realizing that reality is about to hit us as our final school year is coming.
I saw it. I saw as they drove into the peaceful grape fields that could be seen from any direction as the scorching sun burned our skin. I worked in those fields for eleven hours everyday with my parents. The peace was interrupted when the fields where invaded by white cars with a green stripe on both sides of the vehicle. Men in uniforms came out of the vehicles and started taking away some of my family’s closest acquaintances. I was seven years old when I discovered the reason my family lived in fear of stepping one foot outside the house unless it was absolutely necessary. The thought that they would take my parents away from me made fear overwhelm me until I dropped on my knees. My father grabbed my mother and I and ran as fast as we could
When I finished high school from my home town, I decided to move to bigger city for higher study. My parents sent me to one of dad’s older brother house for stay, so I stayed there for about one year. Everybody was okay in that house except for my aunt, she never treated me good. The problem was she had two sons, so she always discriminated between son and daughter. She had a problem with the way I talk, my outfit, my hair, and many other stuffs. I had to make breakfast in the morning, then cook lunch by 11am, and I had a school from 12 pm until 3pm, and when I comeback from school, I had to cook dinner. During the weekend, I had to clean house, wash clothes, and go for grocery shopping. I was basically a servant, and I did not do well in my
As graduation nears, everyone asks "What're you going to do after high school?" I've always responded by saying I would be attending college, but I didn't ever think about the idea anymore than that. Recently, I have taken time to sit and actually think about what and why I want to do once I graduate.
As I walked across the graduation stage to receive my high school diploma, I did not have the slightest indication of what I wanted to do with my life. While all my friends had finalized their plans for college and were ready to start new chapters in their lives, I had not even made a definite decision on what school to attend. Classmates of mine were getting ready to move halfway across the country to pursue their dreams, yet I did not even know what to major in. To say I was confused during this time in my life would have been an absolute understatement. A few days after I graduated, I decided to enroll at my local community college to explore my options and figure out my future.
My story starts before I was even born. The doctor told my mom that I was going to be brain dead. I guess I did not move a lot in the womb. I was born on March 7, 2000. It was actually seventy degrees in Huntington. When I was about a year and a half years old my mom and dad got divorced. I can’t remember it but it has affected every day since then. I have had to move back and forth between houses because I felt like I needed both parents in my life to keep me happy.
My goals after college include getting a doctorate in Veterinary Medicine and serving and supporting the community. I plan to achieve these goals by keeping my perseverance up and not giving up when times get tough. I am persuaded that people around me and academic achievements will get me one step closer to by goals. I am keeping a 4.0 gpa and currently in the top ten percent of my class, however I will continue to push myself to do better. Throughout high school, I have grown closer to the community as a whole by participating in volunteer work. Volunteering has helped me mentally reduce stress and has brought fulfillment to my life. I enjoy every moment of volunteering, because the joy and happiness in others lives are the most priceless
