Personal Narrative : My Favorite Vacation

My family has gone on many vacations, but the vacation to Cancun over Thanksgiving is the one I will always remember. My grandma took our whole family on a vacation to Cancun. There were many interesting events that took place on this trip that I will always remember. Every morning waking up to the amazing view of the ocean with the waves roaring to shore. We would spend our days hanging out by the pool and riding the massive waves at the beach. Playing basketball in the pool with the family is a circus trying to score.

Over the summer Megan and I went to Wisconsin with her family . It was an outstanding trip with my best friend. We went to many different places and got all kinds of things. We stayed for 6 days. We stayed in a cabin on Lake Twin.

The best vacation I ever took, would have to be when I went to Cedar Point, Sandusky, Ohio. Cedar Point is an amusement park. My parents had gone a few years before that. I was about 11 years old the first time I went to Cedar Point. I was very short, (still am) and couldn’t go on all the rides. But I still had fun. We also went on a Ferry Boat ride. And went to a cave and and a “Butterfly Palace”.

Throughout my vacation last summer, I was trying not to think about school. Yet, I found that even when I flew to another state, one class subject followed. When I went to Hawaii last summer I thought it was going to be a pleasurable vacation. I didn’t expect to find an eco-friendly city; I merely assumed that it was going to be like California: heavy smog and a dirty environment.

It was just another day in paradise… the day I almost died. Okay I need to back up a little bit. I was on vacation in Florida. My parents, siblings, and grandparents were all there also. This quote comes to mind when I tell this story, “in the blink of an eye everything can change. So forgive often and love with all your heart. You never know when you may not have that chance again.”

When I was in Mrs. Drawdy’s class and I left early to go to the island called Hawaii. I got to bring two of my friends with me and my brother took two of his friends. Then we went to the airport to go to the Hawaii.

In 2014 during my vacation in Florida, I learned that greed can make people do things they don't normally do. When I was 14 years old I wanted a new xbox game that had been just released, my dad gave me and my brothers a certain amount of money to spend during the vacation and buy things we wanted, but I already wasted it all. I remember passing near GameStop every day and watch other people buy the game, my heart got accelerated every time I saw it. My three other brothers still had enough money they put as a reserve, which I didn't.

This spring break we went to the beach and had a really great time. when we left we had to leave at 5:00 to get on the road and the drive was an 8hr drive it took a long time to get there we stopped by chilli's and ate then got back on the road. when we got to the hotel finally we unpacked and went down to the beach but when we got down there the sun was already setting so we just went back up after about 15 minutes. when we got back up to the condo we decided we needed to go to the grocery store so we headed to walmart we got a tone of grocery's just for a week. when we got home from the grocery store we decided that since it was the first night that we needed to got to this place called the Shrimp basket so we went there and it was really good (to be honest we went out to eat every night). then we where in the car and i said hey mom can we go to the walmart and get movies for the whole week she said sure and they where only $3 so we went and did that and went to the condo. The best vacation ever is going to New Jersey during the summer for a month at my family beach house, and taking Trenton, Aly, Kiki, Hunter, and Landon with me. I would love to go to the ocean, tan, swim. I would love to go shopping at the shops on the boardwalk. Getting up early to see the sunset and walk on the boardwalk. Staying up late and watching the moon on the ocean, listen to the waves at night, sleeping on my bed in New Jersey every night sounds like a great vacation to me. New Jersey to me is my home away from home. I love every minute there. Every family has some sort of tradition that they do every year and my family’s tradition is vacationing to Florida to go to Disney World. I am fortunate enough to have gone to Disney many times. In fact, I have actually been more times than my mother. These are always my favorite vacations to go on and I have made many memories with my family on them. I will be really disappointed when my family stops going on these trips.

I'd call my first vacation to be scorpion stings, sunburns, and a heck of a great time. I would also call Arizona a paradise. My week there was by far one of the best vacations I'd ever taken, and was probably up there with my family's trip to Disneyland! Sure, there were a lot of things that happened that any Utah-raised boy would think to be scary or even just unnatural, but all in all, Arizona was fantastic!

I when I went to Disney with Carl, riley, Dylan, Christina, Hailey, Jordan, and Holden I thought it was going to be fun, however, that wasn’t the case.

On September 18th I embarked on what I can easily say was one of my favourite road trip experiences.

Our family went to Hawaii one year and something pretty embarrassing happened. At dinner one night my parents said we would be traveling to Hawaii but I must have misheard them because I thought they were talking about a ski lodge that has a similar name. I panicked because I hate skiing. I packed all long sleeves and ski gear. When we came out of the airplane all I saw was water and sand. I thought they were talking about a ski lesson but they were talking about a surf lesson. Whenever we came out of the hotel I saw that my parents were dressed in swimsuits while I was wearing ski gear. That trip was so embarrassing everyone kept staring at me awkwardly.
