Listening to the lyrics of your favorite song you automatically start to have a connection with that song. Then the song starts to represent you and your life because of the lyrics. Some songs show about being a fighter, having freedom, or just being you. There's a billion of songs out there and there's a billion of people who connect with those songs. Usually the most common reason why some songs represent people is by their past experience. For me some songs represent me because I decided to follow my dreams, living in the moment, and get right back up.
Being a teenager in high school you dream about having the same career as your friend or going to the same college as them but for me and my friends it was reverse. They were more comfortable performing in a band, or acting, and singing. While I was more comfortable standing there and give a speech than they were. But being a shy high schooler you rather be with your friends than by yourself. Listening to 'Social Casualty' changed my thoughts. Just by hearing the lyrics I knew the song and I shared the same problem. I took my chance and signed up for my classes which was entirely different than all my other friends. Even if I'm alone in a class I could always play this just to motivate me to follow my dreams than someone else. The song represent me because I didn't want to be a follower in my

Maybe that's why some songs represent me and my personality. These songs help me to just forget everything and to live in the moment. But being with my friends help me have fun and to ignore any real world problems going on. Just listening to these songs with them helps us to have fun. Sure I'm going to face some difficult problems some point in my life but those problems will have to wait. Even though time past by fast I still have time to live my life and that's what the songs are teaching
My story has a meaningful story behind it. The story is deep for me and even for the artist and probably for many other people. Hearing songs like this can inspire you. It inspired me to be thankful for the people in my life. One day they can be here the next they could be gone. You never know what’s going on in their lives.
One song that embodies the person that I am today is "Doing it wrong " by Drake . This song embodies the person I am today; because I had relationship problems with a girl and it has affected me in the past in many ways. She and I both felt it was time to move on . We essentially live in a generation of not being together as Drake said it best . It is amazing how he acknowledges that so many people in my generation have the problem of being "together but not together" for fear of accepting that you're just not supposed to be together. So many people can relate to this song; going through a long dragged out relationship that has probably been over with, it's just scary to completely let it go.Perhaps this song is about the hard parts after
Every song I’ve heard can to connected to a memory in my life. It doesn’t have to be an important memory; certain songs flash images of the radio playing while driving down highways or hearing a song playing in the background of a commercial. Others inspire memories like times I’ve danced with my family, or covered songs with friends. These are the memories I will hold on to forever, and I’ll do it through these
Music has always played a governing role in my development during life. My first major connection with a song occurred when I was around nine years old. A majority of my time growing up was spent with my older sister, Melissa. We would always spend weekend nights in her bedroom with a group of her friends. I can vividly recall the setup of her room: the lights dimmed to an almost perfectly relaxed ambiance; a faint smell of vanilla and cinnamon (her favorite scents) from the candles burning on the dresser; and the television loud enough to hinder any outside noise. Often, these nights would consist of binge watching T.V. shows and story-telling among my sister’s friends, who at the time were much older than me. It was during one of these nights that a commercial came on, displayed by a channel called “VH1.” A music video came on the screen; The song was “How to Save a Life” by The Fray. As the song progressed the room was filled with the seemingly instinctual singing of her friends, almost up-to-par with the rhythm and
Music helps us remember events and feel emotions - whether we want to or not. This phenomenon has changed the way we experience and remember songs. Humans have associated certain music with events and emotions for as long as we had the capability to (Baumgartner 316), so listening to these familiar sounds brings forth the memories that come with
Music can play a big role in our lives. It can be remembrance of a special times and times in hardships. Music can be a language without words because it’s so powerful and you can see their feelings or emotions in that one song. That can be one way of how we can have connection with another person. It also bring us together like there is a party and everyone just sitting on the couch but when they start to play music, we grab our friends and we start to dance with new people. Music is a big part of people. A song call “Realize” by Calbie cailat play a big part of my life. The tempo of the song is slow and have sad emotion in it. This was when my family just got to America in Charlotte, North Carolina. We cannot speak English at that time but we still enjoy
These songs relate to whom I am, and represent whom I am. I relate to the songs because they speak about to become who I am supposed to be, and I learned from the three songs of my choice, I can also relate to the songs
When I was younger, around the age of five, the song did not have much meaning to me. It was simply another song with a catchy melody. I truly did not understand the point the artist was attempting to get across to the listener through the metaphors in the lyrics. The meaning behind it was alien to me. I would sing the words, but the significance behind the words I sang rung blank in my brain.
Music has always been a huge part of my life. My Dad - a music junkie - made sure of that. I grew up hearing ABBA on the way to school, and listening to my Dad talk about how he has seen Queen, Michael Jackson, and David Bowie in concert. Back in England, we would go to karaoke nights at the pub every Saturday night just to get our singing fix. On top of all the music I am exposed to at home, I sing every day in my choir class, and listen to countless showtunes every day at drama rehearsals. However, while I’ve always loved listening to music and singing wherever I go, I never really looked for any deeper meanings in the songs I was listening to.
Music has a big impact on many people’s lives. Music meaning is different for everyone, it’s different because it impact a person’s life differently. Most people have a certain genre or genres of music they like. The way you analyze a song is different from what another person analyzes it or even the artist .Like me I like several types of music, it also impacts me differently per genre or artist and right now my favorite song is “100” by The Game and Drake.
I grew up listening to music everyday not knowing it would save my life in the end... the words that I would listen to would somehow connect with how I was feeling or what I was going through. Music truly soothes the soul and just somehow gives you hope to continue on or to stop something. I think I related my problems to the songs, it would give me comfort knowing I wasn't the only one who was feeling the way I once was. It showed me life was worth living and fighting for. Take Demi Lovato for instant, she was going through major depression and found herself through the music she would produce. A lot of artist are actually like this and only some really come out and tell their true story on how music saved them. It's incredible to know that no matter what you're going through someone, somewhere has gone through it too.
For this project I was supposed to look for a song that represents me. After a long hard search I finally found the song I was looking for. This essay will be about “A Million Dreams” from the movie “The Greatest Showman”. While I was listening to this song and researching it, I found many similarities to me as a person. This song is a a great song that has a great contrast of instruments and singing. The boy who sings the song wants to make his own world because he comes from nothing, he is just his father's apprentice. As it says in the song “I close my eyes and I can see the world that's waiting out for me that I call my own” like this part of the song I too can see the world that's waiting out for me. This song is a very creative and nice
Song lyrics are the creative use of language in a rhythmic sense. The use of this creative language was created by humans for humans for a specific person to allow us to see things differently then we usually would. We find that in the lyrics of the song, that there is figurative language like that in poetry. There is room in the lyrics of the song for symbolism, imagery and ambiguity. The song expresses the thoughts and feelings of the writer of the song and allows them to represent life how they see. They use things in their life that people can relate to on some level. They can be seen as reflections of the society and culture in which they were written in. The songs are reflections of the writer. In “Lego House” and “The A Team”, Ed Sheeran represents life in how it has its ups and down. It shows that life is messy and complicated but we can get through it. He wanted to convey that life is messy and complicated but beautiful.
Music is an art that has the capability of drawing out the deepest emotion within us. For that very reason, we are extremely attracted to such art. Different genres attract diverse groups of people. Often it is easy to spark memories within our consciousness by listening to particular songs. For me personally, I have a bittersweet connection to the song, “Keep Your Head Up,” By Ben Howard because the lyrics provoke happiness and encouragement, a couple of traits I struggle with at times, yet the tune sparks beautiful memories with an estranged, beloved friend.
Some of my favorite songs are Snap Out of It by Arctic Monkeys, Re-Do by Modern Baseball, RUN by San Cisco, Lolita by Lana Del Rey, and I’m Aquarius by Metronomy. Each song represents different times in my life, they also has specific lines that I connect with that strike a chord in my soul. Like Snap Out of It, “Forever isn't for everyone, Is forever for you?” I relate to this line because I have very different views about love than the people around me, and people never seem to accept those views, and in this song he understands that some people just weren’t made for ‘forever’. In RUN, “You've never ever been the one chasing me...” and In I’m Aquarius, “You said our love was written in the stars but I never paid attention to my
