Have you ever been scared to accomplish a challenge? I'm going to be talking about the time when I accomplished one of the challenges that I have always wanted to learn how to do. Some people that were involved or a whiteness of my accomplishment was my sister named Malina and my little cousin named Mazzy . one day my cousin sister and I were all outside and bouncing on the trampoline and we were all taking turns doing cool jumps or moves and so I decided that I wanted to try and do a backflip because I was a cheerleader at the time in 6th grade and I remember I wanted to be just like this one girl on our cheer team that could do massive flips and so anyways I was very scared and worried and I kept doubting myself but finally I wasn't really thinking about it and I just started bouncing and next thing you know I was in the air and I did a backflip. If you ever try and accomplish something like this be very careful because I can tell you some advantages and some disadvantages about trying to do this. Some advantages is that you can impress people , you can be an inspiration , you can teach …show more content…
after I was able to reach my goal I started to do flips everyday after school and on the weekends and I never stopped. Eventually my time if being a cheerleader and doing those incredible flips has came to an ending. One day me and all 3 of my sisters went to a trampoline arena and once I got there I started to do flips and a whole bunch of other stuff and next thing you know I began to do a double backflip and I landed on my arm and broke both bones in my forearm and had to get surgery and was in a cast for over a year and I was devastated that I couldn't do flips anymore and lost all of my skills and now I cant do it anymore and it was just a terrible
I don’t know how to start this, but I believe that everyone in life at least goes through one sort of form of an obstacle. An obstacle I face in life right now would have to be the fact that my grandma is working her butt off just so she can keep her family alive. The only reason why this bothers me is because I can’t do anything about it. Like I want to help by working, but I’m only 14 and still have two more years until I can get a part time job. Since, I’ve been a little kid, I always admired my grandma. She was my role model. She taught me that in life nothing is easy and that you have to work very hard for the things you want in life. She left her family just so my mom and I would have a better life than she did. I know this is how
There is so much suffering people have to deal with in this world. I believe we are given an obstacle we have to overcome. It just depends on the person’s inner strength and will to not give up and keep trying. Nancy proves this to be true she is different from others in her condition especially how she refers to herself as a cripple. Throughout the essay she writes about her experience and her journey with MS. The way she goes about it makes her readers not feel bad for her but to feel proud for her because she has not given up. Its shows us that she’s accepted the obstacle given to her and she is not giving up even knowing her illness doesn’t have a cure.
Phillip stated his best part about college is being able to learn, having professors who actually care and being in organizations that are made to help minorities succeed.
The biggest obstacle I’ve ever faced was overcoming my fear of falling from great heights. During the summer break after my sophomore year, I went to a summer camp in Colorado. Unbeknownst to me, one of the activities at the camp involved rappelling down the side of a mountain. As I made the trek to the designated rappelling area, I was completely enthralled in my own fear that I had no intentions of partaking in the activity. However as a watched everyone in my group slowly rappel down the mountain, I realized that I need to conquer my fear. After some self motivation, I was hooked into the belay lines and I scaled down the side
In all the years I’ve been involved in running, I am quite confident that I’ve never heard anyone admit that when they were a youngster they wanted to grow up to be a distance runner.
During the course of our lives, we will all be faced with obstacles. Some may be small, such as losing your car keys. Others may be large, like losing your job. However, if you approach all obstacles with an ambitious attitude, and resilience, as opposed to just whining, moping, and becoming depressed about it, they can be much more easily overcame (Harrington, 2012).
Overcoming anything can seem out of one’s reach. I have faced many obstacles in my life. The challenge I would like to share is obtaining a college education while having a family. Being a strong willed person has helped me to make a way for school. It became an obstacle when, I graduate high school. I had been put on homebound due to; I had my first child just months before I graduated.
From personal experience, any obstacle or disadvantage can be used for something good. When I was a high school senior, I broke my wrist playing basketball right before state playoffs. It devastated me and my team. For a sports enthusiast like me, this injury was a major setback. Through this experience, I became a better team captain by raising moral from the bench dispite not being able to play. Life will always come with obstacles but we must determine whether we want to use the obstacles to fuel greatness or disappointments. This paper will discuss people throughout history that have used their personal struggles and setbacks to achieve something great.
In my life I have faced many obstacles. There has been times when I was unsure about how I was going to handle a situation and how I was going to move on from it. Although some obstacles may be abominable, I am a firm believer of "everything happens for a reason". If God brings you to it, he will help you get through it.
In my life, I have had to overcome many obstacles and difficult things that have come my way. I feel that these events have made me into the person that I am today.
Glaring upwards at the inclination of the slope I consistently question whether I could make it another step further. The trail conditions were not exceptional. The ground was so slick that every step you take you would slide back half a step. Swirling through my head thoughts like “THEY SAID THIS WOULD BE AN EASY BOOT PATH NOT A PRATICALLY OFF TRAIL ROUTE CLIMBING THIS STUPID MUDDY FACE!!!!”. I withheld my smoldering frustration inside and trotted up with an unpleasant and desperate gait. Over and over the climb leader yelled a Jens Voigt (Professional Cyclist) quote “Shut Up Legs! And do what I tell you.” in the most preposterous German accent. Time passed by in insignificant increments as I seemed to only scramble fifty more feet upwards.
No one has really did through what i have been through other if they did they had a different solution but it fits for me because it was a big obstacle in my life.I wanted to have a better life for me and my brother I was tired of taking care of everybody but myself the definition in the dictionary is a thing that blocks one's way or prevents or hinders progress. And it was true i was letting everybody else hold me down i was no longer a innocent little girl i felt like i was a mom i took care of so many kids when i was a kid myself. It was a huge obstacle in my life letting go of the hurt i felt because i didn’t have a childhood i was suppose to have but i learned to forgive those mistakes that i had to suffer from and now i can move on with
We all face obstacles in our lives. Sometimes the obstacles are physical and we must determine a path in which to best navigate past them. Occasionally, they are less visible, but no less real. From childhood we learn how to overcome obstacles, but as we age the obstacles become seemingly more difficult to navigate. How we choose to overcome our obstacles is dependent upon how we have found success in overcoming them throughout our lives. Resiliency is an enabling attitude which allows us to overcome those obstacles (Harrington, 2012).
At least once in everyone’s life there is an obstacle that they face and have to overcome. Obstacles and barriers are used as a way to help shape people to help them become what they are supposed to be in life. Some Obstacles and barriers can be small and could be easily fixed, however some are Big and may take a while to overcome. Since I am only sixteen I have not had many problems, and for the problems that I did have were actually very small. When trying to answer this question I come to realize that none of the major problems I had were external they were all mainly internal, more specifically myself. The main obstacle I have had to overcome in my life was accepting myself for who I am and learning how to love me for me.
I do believe that any obstacle or disadvantage can be turned into something good. I believe this because people learn many things from their mistakes and that's the only way. In the example that is provided, the actor is obviously confused. The director makes a good point on how to work around it, and in a case where they make use of the chair that's in the way, which helps make it funny, exciting, or depressing. In a play or musical of any type, it adds meaning. Not only does an obstacle or disadvantage get turned into something good, but it can discover new things. Whenever any situation happens, such as in this case, I'd laugh if it's funny, cry if it's dramatic, make a joke out of it, or act like it didn't happen. Just keep in mind that
