Organisational Behaviour
Organisational behaviour is the study of people's behaviour and interaction in an organisation. The science of organisational behaviour is applied to people in an organisation.
The main focus OB is to study interaction within groups and understand all those cases where conflicts and negativity among people might arise.
Goals of OB
• Describe- The aim of OB is to describe human behaviour under different circumstances that might occur in an organisation.
• Understand- When faced with a certain behaviour shown by employees which affect the organisation, managers need to understand the reason behind such behaviour in order to solve problems.
• Predict- Managers will be able to predict employees behaviour. They can see a negative behaviour coming and channel an employees energies into productive work and also avoid unwanted situations.
• Control- Control is a virtuous

OB would help them predict employees behaviour and especially avoid deviant and unproductive behaviour. The study of organisational behaviour helps a managers understand employee psychology and identify their needs regarding their work. By doing this managers can bring in motivated behaviour in employees which increases productivity, successfully achieving organisational goals at the same time increasing job satisfaction among staff. OB focuses on functions that are important to an organisation like effective communication, personality and perception. These elements are built around each other. OB identifies that each employee comes with his or her own personality and the management has to carefully communicate with them in order to avoid forming the wrong perception about itself in the employees mind. Organisational behaviour is described as 'A field of study that investigates the impact that individuals, groups, and structure have on behaviour within organisations, for the purpose of applying such knowledge towards improving an organisations effectiveness.'
Generally it’s the understanding of the very credentials of an individual, background, social framework, educational update, impact of social groups and other situational factors on behavior. Managers under whom an individual is working should be able to explain, predict, evaluate and modify human behavior that will largely depend upon knowledge, skill and experience of the manager in handling large group of people in diverse situations. Preemptive actions need to be taken for human behavior forecasting.

According to Spector "behavior comes from both the individual and the organization context in which the individual work. Management needs to appreciate their employee and recognize them for their performance. Employees need to know they are appreciated and when they make a mistake management needs to communicate with them using a calm voice instead of a harsh voice. Management action and interaction with employees affects the organization changes.
| This model best applies to the managers and leaders that are hired from within the organization have to be careful of what is done with his or her employees and how he or she tries to change what is happening with the employees on the floor so if the employees are happy with what he or she is doing at the workplace the manager should not change it. Managers or leaders should realize that change could have consequences if he or she decides to make changes the employees are not particular or used to doing the certain way the manager or leader likes to see this done. Managers and leaders need to take in consideration of how the employees feel about what the changes being made from the manager. The employees have good communication with each other but if the communication is not the way with the manager then there could be problems. Communication is one of the things that a manager or leader has got to have behind them because when he or she does not listen to the employees about the changes being made this could cause problems between the employees and the manager. This model is being used at many types of organizations.

Organizational Behavior Management (OBM) is a vital part of the success of a company. The employee’s thoughts and actions even considering culture are thoroughly analyzed. This idea allows managers to improve not only individual behavior but also group dynamic performances/interactions and workers safety. This theory is considered as a science of the behavior of each employee. The history of OBM started in the 1900’s, with the strong influence of Skinner and Watson. Scientific Behavior began in the workplace, following the applications of behavioral principles to instructional design. Frederick Taylor, another innovative manager was a huge supporter of the scientific method being presented and utilized. Three main areas of OBM application include: Performance Management, Behavioral Systems Analysis, and Behavior-Based Safety. Inside of each area, there are key points to consider. Some would be leadership, decision making, team building, motivation, and job satisfaction. In short, OBM is the study that reviews how organizational structures are an aftermath within companies.
