We the jury found the defendant Orenthal James Simpson guilty of the crime of double murder. These are the words that we all wanted to here on October 3rd, 1995 when the verdict was announced. Instead we here that the jury found OJ not guilty, leaving many people surprised. I am here today to prove that OJ Simpson was guilty of the murders of Nicole Brown and Ronald Goldman.

On June 12,1994, Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman were murdered. Their bodies were discovered outside Nicole Simpson's condominium. Nicole Simpson was the estranged wife of the famous football player and T.V. star O.J. Simpson.

On May 4th, 1994, the Goldman family sues O.J. A lot of Simpson’s personal items, such as his trophies and cars were seized. On November 6th 1996, the jury was composed of nine Whites, one Black, one Hispanic, and an Asian. A photographer claims to have taken a picture of Simpson in 1993 wearing Bruno Magli shoes, which were the same ones that were worn by the killer of Nicole Simpson and Ronald Goldman. O.J completely denied the picture; which led the photographer to release to the jury over 30 pictures of Simpson in the shoes. In the 1960s a murder was taken place, the Egan murders. This included Peter, Barbara, and Gerald Egan. The finally verdict ended being that their prime suspect and accused (Jo Leone) was found innocent, primary due to the jury receiving personal threats as well as the prosecutor, who didn’t seem to press hard enough on the defendant.

Then, in 1995, the famous, lengthy trial of O.J Simpson took place on the national stage. These events directly tie in to The Watsons despite the time differences.

Orenthal James Simpson, as known as O.J. O.J. was accused of robbing his own memorabilia back in a Las Vegas hotel room on the night of September 13, 2007. The O.J. Simpson murder case is a fascinating murder case due to the popularity of the defendant and the circumstances surrounding it. In the following paragraphs, I will discuss the victims and the evidence stacked up against O.J. Simpson. I will also discuss the pivotal points in the trial and the verdict.

"You never know someone until you've seen them behind closed doors". Orenthal O.J. Simpson lived a rough life growing but, instead of that taking over his life he decided to make a change by becoming a football hall of fame, actress/tv star and later being turned to a serial killer. Was the killing done out of love or spight? Or did he even do it?

They gathered enough evidence to charge him with two counts of first-degree murder. The prosecution, therefore, had to prove that O.J knowingly caused the demise of both Nicole Simpson and Ron Goldman. Simpson’s house guest was recorded saying that he saw O.J Simpson, shortly after the murder, being pulled up in his white Bronco. Moreover, the limo driver stated that he waited for him for fifteen minutes before driving him to the airport. Interestingly, the times given by the witnesses coincided with suspected murder time proving that Simpson actually had planned the crime. His alibi was also precarious. The next process in the Justice system, a Grand Jury indictment, was interrupted. OJ Simpson hired a top notch team of defense and appellate lawyers to defend him in this case and they were able to get the Grand Jury dismissed from this case due to the massive media coverage. They claimed that the jury was prejudiced toward the defendant because of the readily available information about the case. In lieu of the Grand Jury trial a probable cause hearing was conducted. With that, the judge in this hearing felt that enough evidence did exist for a criminal trial and OJ Simpson was arraigned on July 29th 1994. At his arraignment OJ pleaded not guilty, specifically stating that he was “one hundred percent not guilty”.

Within this writing assignment I am asked to write about a lawsuit that was taken in a civil court or criminal court. With this assignment the first person that came to mine was O. J. Simpson because he was charge in two criminal case and one civil case. I will be discussing what was called, “The Trial of the Century” the O. J. Simpson Murder Trial. I will give the reader a brief overview of the trial. I will explain the main laws that were violated and the possible penalties of the crime.
