Obviously, humans are enabled genetically to inherit a collection of traits from our parents such as hair color, hand dominance, eye color, et cetera. We are also able to obtain more significant attributes like the unfailing love of Mexican food, the compelling desire to pet every pup that trots by, and the exceptional need to make everyone’s day a little bit brighter. Fortunately for me, I have also acquired a much stronger bedrock of character: the respect of honor, courage, and commitment and a passion for leaving a positive impact on everyone I meet by valuing their needs before my own. My father, a former United States Marine, developed mental, moral, and physical strength through training and in the line of duty. By way of stories in combat and lessons he learned, he empowers me to exemplify, to the full measure, my intentional morale and my tenacious essence as I am confident that it will serve me well throughout my future endeavors. I have witnessed him exude a steadfast pride in his country and in past, present, and future men and women in uniform and it has inspired me to do the same. He was deployed from Camp Lejeune in North Carolina to Kuwait where he contributed to Operation Desert Storm in …show more content…
She has taught me to cherish people and to admire all of their attributes. My mother has shaped me in a way that I become people’s biggest cheerleader and I value their uniqueness, because I know everyone is capable of being the best possible version of themselves and I want to encourage them to get there. This nurturing spirit that I have attained benefits building my relationships and allows me to find and treasure the best in people. I am deeply honored to be recognized as an eligible candidate for the National Honors Society. After learning about the National Honor Society, and what the organization represented, I knew it was something I wanted to participate in. This organization works hard to better educational opportunities for students across the nation, and that is something I would like to play a part in to further the outstanding reputation of the NHS. I believe that this is an opportunity I deserve due to my recognizable hard work. I am aware that the NHS is known for recognizing students with outstanding grades and commendable characteristics, which is something I believe I have obtained throughout my years of hard work.

My parents have worked and sacrificed countless of hours so that I may receive an education and several of opportunities they were never given the chance to reach in their high school careers. Also like my parents who have done so much for me, my God has blessed me with a healthy body and several of talents. I'm so honored and privileged to have received so much blessings from the people who mean the most to me, it is as if that saying "thank you" isn't enough to repay their love for me. With these blessings and talents I will bring honor to my God and my parents by using their given gifts to be the best person I can be by demonstrating positive character, active levels of leadership in daily behavior,
I believe I deserve to be inducted into the National Honors Society because I am a dedicated, hard working, caring individual. I focus most of my free time on volunteering in the theatre community.

She also taught me to finish something if I started it, and that carried over to my reading. If I start reading a book I always finish it and do my best to understand it. So, she instilled what I know about reading and she influenced the way I read. She always told me, when I was younger, to pronounce my words right so that when I get older I would pronounce my words right. All that she has said to me and taught me when I was coming up as a younger child helped me get to the level of reading I am on today and also to the level of understanding I have of all the words I read. Without her encouraging me in this way I would have had problems understanding things that I read and wouldn’t be as smart as I have grown to be. I am very thankful of how I was brought up as a kid.
One major tenet of biology is that every offspring inherits 50% of its mother's and 50% of its father's genes. My black hair, rounded face, and unfortunately masculine hands are all results of biology and chance. Still, not all traits passed from parent to offspring are transferred through Mendelian genetics and sheer luck. From years of witnessing my mother cook extra portions of food for sick friends every week and watching my father drive 50 miles to take elderly family friends to the hospital, I have developed a keen sense of responsibility towards my community, a trait my parents have gifted me without help from inheritance patterns. Delivering meals alongside my parents and experiencing the effect kindness has on people has inspired me to work hard for others if only to be rewarded with a faint smile.
Primary health care evolves from the economic, cultural, social, and political conditions of a country, and it is described as an essential part of health care that is universally provided to individuals in a community at the country's and community's expense (World Health Organisation [WHO], 1978). The goal of primary health care is to address the main local health problems, but it involves community education about these problems in addition to providing disease treatments (WHO, 1978). Furthermore, primary health care is concerned with nutrition promotion, sanitation standards, family planning, immunisation, disease control and prevention, and it promotes and relies on community and individual participation in primary health
Through my mother, God shaped me; by witnessing her, convictions, strong morals, loving disposition, nonjudgmental nature and unshakable faith. I learned why we should never judge others because we are all God’s children. I learned my faith is permanent and there is nothing and no one that can make me stop believing. I learned how precious life is and to never give up.
