My most memorable moment where we were playing a review game were you have to shoot a basket to score points, and Liam went to shoot a basket and you smacked it right out of his hands then proceed to dab. This memory I feel like perfectly describes your personality you can be so funny and so lighthearted but still teach which is great. When the school year began I was excited and not at all nervous. But, in the beginning of the year knowing it was my last year of middle school I was actually sad after four years (I went to a different school) it was all coming to an end. I was mostly really pumped because last year at the pep rally seeing you dance made me say "I want Mr. Jones as my teacher next year" , so much so, you could ask any one of my friends and they would tell you how I would say that all the time last year. 8th grade World History was a fun experience because of the activities and games we did throughout the year. Also, the people in our class and of course, having you as a teacher.
We learned multiple different unit's this year and it is hard to pick a favorite, my favorite unit however this year was Life in Medieval Towns. I enjoyed this unit because, I thought it was extremely interesting learning about the way people used to live during a time period long ago. The unit especially caught my attention because, learning about what people did for work or what their houses looked like really intrigued me. Another reason I enjoyed this unit was, that you seemed so
8th grade. The last year at Ross Middle School. Being retrospective on past years has me thinking of my many accomplishments, and many fails I’ve had. From getting very good grades to the embarrassing moments. All the time I wish I was still in elementary school. You get to wake up earlier and do less work. Next year I probably will be wishing the same thing, but to be in middle school. I am excited for highschool next year, but also nervous. I am petrified of getting lost or walking into the wrong classroom. Many of my freshman friends tell me they love highschool.
During my middle school years, I met so many new people, created bonds, and tried new things. I created memories with different people and through things I never would’ve expected myself doing. Throughout everything I did in middle school, they were the greatest memories ever. I treasure these times and will always. Looking back on middle school, I really appreciate the opportunities that were given to me.
My only memory of first grade is learning cursive and having far worse handwriting than other classmates. Probably my favorite memory from elementary school is recess and playing with friends. Middle school came around and was probably the first time I was really nervous to go to school, but by the end I realized how fun it was and all the trouble I got into. Before school every started for me I enjoyed playing outside climbing trees. Every time fall came around I looked forward to jumping in piles of leaves, carving pumpkins and halloween. In 8th grade I started skiing which is my favorite winter hobby. The first time I went on a airplane was last year(2016) when we went to Florida then took a cruise to the Bahamas. I'm hate spiders and snakes especially big snakes and spiders. One of my favorite memories as a child is when went on a short vacation in New Hampshire and stayed in a really cool cabin with a stream behind it that made for the best sleep ever. Another time I went to New Hampshire was with my Aunt and Uncle and we stayed in a house they own near Hampton Beach, which was the first time I ever went to a big beach. In 6th grade my family and my friends family went to the Damariscotta Lake State Park almost every day and had barbecue chicken on the regular, along with hamburgers and hotdogs. We also went to the majority of state parks in Maine because we got a state park pass book and there is a challenge in it to get a stamp
I took the Self-Quiz that we normally have at the end of the unit but we also and a graded Quiz so it was a really interesting unit.
As a result of rigorous writing throughout the year, I feel like I can explain better. If I would pick out my two favorite unit, they will be probability and inferences. I liked probability because I could take a break from all the explaining in a paragraph and just show calculations. I liked inference despite the amount of write I had to do because I learned how much difference in number is actually significant. Sometimes, just looking at numbers or graphs is too ambiguous to make a decision, but inferences logically analyze and calculate how much “different” is actually different. I think that is the beauty of the inference unit. Also, you can actually carry out tests on the statistics you find, as long as they meet the assumptions and conditions. The inference project was really interesting because I could apply the tests to something in real-life rather than problems on
In August, I chose to teach, to see smiling faces, and educate these remarkable students! It was the best decision that I could’ve made! This was my first full year of teaching middle school and it was amazing. The most amazing moment was when my students received their scores from TCAP testing to hear their enthusiasm and describe how they grew was very rewarding. It was knowing that I was a level 5 teacher with the highest scores in the building that validated my career as a
From first grade to fifth grade, I was happy and energetic. I made best friends that I never thought I would lose and I liked them all. I grew close to my teachers and I got to go on field trips. I never cared about what others thought about me or said about me. The lesson that I took from grade school is that teachers aren’t as bad as people think and that I should’ve cherished every minute of being young.
The last nine years have gone by so fast. Watching my sister graduate back in 5th grade, I never thought this day would come. The only thing I was thinking about was when we would eat dinner that night. Now that this day is finally here, I can't believe it. I have had so much fun and made so many great memories here at St. Mary's. Walking into kindergarten with my parents to meet my teacher, I was nervous. I never thought I would make so many friends. Then, kindergarten was over and it was off to first grade. I had my own desk, and there was no nap time. After experiencing my first fire drill and growing bean plants by the window, it was time for second grade. In second grade, I made my first communion and I played an angel in the Christmas pageant. Then it was over, and my last year at the PGC began. Third grade was one of the best school years I had. I loved watching Because of Winn Dixie and reading books on Mrs. Wetherald's couch. Third grade went by in a flash, and my time at the PGC was over. I was very nervous to move to the UGC, but after the first week, I knew I was going to have a lot of fun. Gym class was so much different from the PGC, and I liked it a lot more. Fourth grade seemed to last forever, having fun with my friends and doing word searches while sitting in bean bags. However, all good things must come to an end.
An emotional roller coaster, acing tests I didn't study for, then five finals in one day, and having some of the greatest times with my friends. That was my 8th grade year, it was fun and hard at the same time. It wasn't what I Imagined but it was my favorite year of middle school, “Stayin’ Alive” by Bee Gees, is the perfect resemblance of this year.
My life experience in middle school was an astonishing year. I went to a school called Step Charter in Houston Texas, which was full with outstanding teachers and students. I was a very well behaved student, who had mostly A’s and B’s. Most people can say time can go by so fast, well it did for me. It was the last day of school for us eighth graders, who were moving on to high school. We had just finished our graduation ceremony and I was saying goodbye to all of my marvelous friends, who I would miss forever.
In just a few short weeks I will be a freshman. So for the next 3 paragraphs I will reflect on my middle school experience. My most memorable moments would be when I met all of my friends they were all at different times. But over the three year of middle school i’ve managed to become more outgoing and gained many friends. While gaining friends i've also gained many other things like, better social skills and better studying skills.
Last year was probably the best year ever. First year of high-school, and I was already one of the most popular kids. I met so many new people, made so many new friends, and even my grades were good. I still have my grade-representative speech memorized. I remember standing up there in front of the entire school; I remember them cheering before I even started. I didn’t even know half of the people that came up to congratulate me after I was done, and I never thought High School would be such a great place. I had a girlfriend! In grade 8 my teacher told me High School wasn’t going to be all fun and games like grade school. The day I won grade-rep was the day I thought I proved her wrong.
I finally made it to High school! Driver’s Ed finished up at Iowa Western and I got my permit!! I was so excited to drive to school. I took Pottery, Spanish I, Intro to Engineering, English, Speech, Algebra, Personal Development, Biology, Human Anatomy, and American History. I enjoyed every class very much! I went to homecoming and snoball dances with guy friends and girlfriends all the way through my senior year. I was also involved in volleyball, track and basketball. My sophomore year we made it to state and won our first two games. As a junior we made it to the championship game, and my senior year we won! It was the best experience I’d ever had. Sophomore year Nate got married and I also became an aunt to Zach’s first baby! FCA
My most memorable childhood event was when I was 15 years old. It was the Fourth of July. A big family vacation a barbeque, over night stay and out of town trip to six flags, and I had a blast the night before me, my mom, sisters and brother packed our bags to stay the night over my cousin house in Goodlettsville ,Tennessee. She had the biggest house ever I thought it was a mansion; six bedrooms two an half bath, a swimming pool, a game/movie room with a nice big kitchen. It was something that I was not use, knowing that we stayed in a three bedroom based on an income apartment on the East side of Nashville.
Throughout life I have had many memorable events. The memorable times in my life vary from being the worst times in my life and some being the best, either way they have become milestones that will be remembered forever. The best day of my life was definitely the day that I received my drivers' license. This day is one of the most memorable because of the feelings I had when I received it, the opportunities that were opened up for me and the long lasting benefits that I received from it that still exist today.
