Heroes come in many shapes and sizes, like the iconic heroes we see on the big screen, for example, Batman and Superman, or normal everyday heroes, like a doctor or a firefighter. But I think that the biggest hero is the one that is closest to me, and that is my Mom. Everyday, I admire and look up to her, and others should too.
My Mom teaches heroic life lessons that you and I should admire her for. A time this happened is when I first realized my Mom was my hero at the age of 5. We had just moved into a small town called Livingston, from New York City. So, naturally, I was very nervous that I would have no friends and was refusing to go to the first day of Kindergarten. I decided that I wouldn't move at all. But my Mom promised me I would have a good time, comforted me, and with a kiss, picked me up and carried me into the car, all while saying that my education is the most important thing in the world. That day, she stayed with me in school for the whole day. Even though at that time, I thought

Every day, she gets up at seven, and has to drop me and my brother off at school. Then, she has to rush over to catch the bus, for the hour long commute to New York City. She works late until eight, then takes the bus back and arrives home no earlier than nine. This has happened for the last five years, and when I was younger, her work schedule always confused me. She was never there anymore to play, or do arts and crafts with, or help me with my homework. Because of this, I started to do everything with my Dad. But as I got older, I finally understood that she was working as hard as possible to make money for our family, to let me have a good life. She was trying to make sure I could have food, clothes, and shelter, and that is heroic. And because of that, I always admire her, and if she was your heroic Mom, you'd admire her too for being so dedicated to working for your
She is wonderful and just awesome is even supportive of my friends and is always nice and caring to them. The girls in colorgard love her to she acts like a second mother to them. She also takes time off of work to help out at band camp every year. She is back school online and is getting her masters showing that no matter if you are an adult or kid you can always learn more and that's such a big inspiration to me. She has come to almost all of my volleyball, and softball games and helped me when I was having trouble with them and showing me the best way to do things. My mom also tells me to never give up like when I was doing volleyball I wanted to quit but she told to just finish the season and that I don’t have to do it again if I didn’t want to, I ended up really liking it and had a lot of fun. She even helped me to get back in a good place after my grades fell, and I was not in a good place then she helped me to get them higher and, try as hard as I can and do my very best. My mom is my hero for all these reasons and many, many more but the fact that I have her is a blessing in itself. She is kind, caring, smart, funny, lovable, Amazing, and
Imagine growing up being told to believe your education is worth nothing. Imagine not being able to attend school after the 6th grade. That was the exact situation my mother faced when she was younger. Ana Gonzalez, my mom and also my best friend, has set many great examples for me despite her imperfect history. Even in the tough times, my mother is always there when I need her. I guess I never took the time to realize her value towards me and my family. My mom is a creative person that likes to think outside the box. Not only that, she is also educated and supportive.
My hero is Vesta Colvin, also known as my Mom. She is my chosen hero because she didn't just make sacrifices for me, she's made them for virtually our whole family. My mother is the youngest of two, but due to certain circumstances she had to relinquish that role. Her role as the youngest had to be relinquished because my aunt decided to start having kids at about 14 years old and that forced her to grow up faster than she should’ve
As we grow up throughout life, we hold onto many heroes as they have impacted our life. Looking into my personal life, my hero consists of my mother, Darla Linden. She defined a hero as “a person stepping up in a situation without thinking they also are in harm 's way”(Linden, Darla). Throughout my lifetime my mom has been there for me since day one and has helped nurtured me.. She sacrifices many things for myself and for my family by providing us with our daily needs. I can always count on her to point me in the right direction by pursuing my dreams and wishes. I admire her caring heart and faithfulness the most because she would drop anything instantly to help someone else in need. She supports me in all of my extra curricular activities and motivates myself to bring out my full potential. I get inspired by her courageous character by never backing down to a challenge and always finishing through. When I asked my mom who she picked as her hero she said, “the service men and women of all branches who fight for our country”(Linden, Darla). They provide us with safety by sacrificing
My mom is my hero because she works hard for her family. my mom will go out of her way to get us stuff. she gets us whatever we want and need even if it's hard to get it. my mom is a hard working lady. she always works to get us the stuff we need. and to support our family. clearly my mom is my hero because she works
The person who I consider to be a hero is my mom, FBI Special Agent Jill Stillman. She is more than a typical mom because she protects and serves our country everyday, but first makes sure to be up at 6:00am to wake me and my brother up so we can dress, eat breakfast and get to the bus stop. She always puts us first before herself along with my two dogs and cat and then she gets ready for work. I consider her a hero because after the 9/11 attacks, she helped capture and eliminate Osama Bin Laden. She has investigated criminal and counterterrorism cases and early in her career, she found evidence against the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing subject Tim McVey to send him to prison. She has been a Special Agent for 25 years and volunteered to go
At only 5ft tall my Mamaw was a lioness trapped in kitten’s body. She was an independent woman that would never back down from a fight. Mamaw is the name we called my grandmother from my mother’s side. One of my favorite memories is when she would ask me to do her a favor and in return she would offer me a Yankee dime. If you’re not from the south and don’t know what that is, a Yankee dime is a kiss. My Mamaw, Lillian Delores, was an amazing woman!
What comes to mind when I think of a hero would indubitably be first responders such as police, firefighters, EMT, etc. They save thousands of people every day. The heroes you don’t usually think about are athletes. Kids could define their favorite baseball or basketball player as a hero because they are so cool and they hit a lot of homeruns. But a real reason
I come from a family of five. My mom Aimee is an occupational therapist. She hasn't been working lately because she has A.S. ankylosing spondylitis which is arthritis of the low back. My dad William or Bill is a mechanic and a farmer. He went to school to be an automotive technician but when we came back from indonesia we moved into my grandmas and grandpas house. Kicking them out into the hay field in a double wide trailer home. At that point my dad became a farmer with fixing cars as a part time job. He calls it spare time repare. My brother Ed is 18 and going to Iowa State to be a conservation officer. He enjoys hunting and about anything outdoors. My sister is Brie is 15 and she wants to be a occupational therapy assistant or a special
They can be strong, courageous, or they can even be from Greek mythology. Some heroes in my life include my mom, my dad, my grandma and my grandpa. My mom is my hero because she sees the best in me and tries her best whether it’s against her better judgment to make my life as good as it can be. My dad is also my hero because he supports me in whatever I do, whether it is in sports such as football, basketball or soccer, or in my academic or personal life. He allows me to be myself, and I appreciate that. My grandma is one of my heroes because she is suffering through ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease yet still makes you feel happy when you are around her. And finally my grandpa is my hero because he used to be a firefighter and then the fire chief of La Crosse, WI and has saved many
Even though the true definition of a hero is a male figure my mother is a hero to me. She has sacrificed an incredible amount of things for me and my family without hesitation. My biological father passed away when I was only two years of age, and my mother conquered over such a big milestone in our lives. She stands firm in her faith with the Lord, Jesus Christ, and it is He who helped her be brave enough to be a single mother. Most people would have been a coward and shut down, but my mother had the courage to take something terrible and allow it to strengthen us as a family. After my biological father’s death, a few years had passed, and my mom met my marvelous step-father, and they have blessed me with a merciful life filled with the love of Jesus Christ. My mother is willing to help anyone and everyone in a time of need. She is the type of woman that I aspire to
Of course my mom was my hero, why was that even a question. She is the one person who has always been there for me and stuck up for me but there is one thing that gives
My mom jackie chapman is my rock my hero as people would say without her im nothing but with her job and balancing my grandma cause of her health i dont see her much my mom works for the state handicap assotion. For my project I reflected on the faith and beliefs of my sister, her life is an
When I was 10 years old my older sister had a horrible accident. My grandparents, my sisters, and I were living in El Salvador. One day we were getting ready to go church, but my younger sister asked my older sister if she could help her because she wanted to use a pair of shoes that were detached from the sole, and those shoes needed a crazy glue cement. First my older sister tried to help her, but when she pressed the tube, nothing came out after that my older sister wanted to help her. Then she used a needle to puncture the tube, but as soon as she punctured the tube, she squeezed it; during this short time the crazy glue got into her right eye, and she started to scream, cry, and she was not able to open her
