"The real hero is measured not by the size of his strength, but by the size of his heart". When I was a kid a lot of people asked me who my hero was and I often responded with a name of some celebrity who performed a cool stunt or had strength. As time passed by and I started understanding things, I understood hero is not someone who has strength, power, skills. In fact hero is someone who has a bigger heart, someone who has more love to give than strength, or someone who is skilled on thinking for the good of others. A hero can be recognized by the work he has done, by the sacrifices he has made, and how he changed the life of a different person and that is exactly what my dad did, He changed my life. He is My Hero Imagine how hard it must be to leave a place that has given you everything, just so your kids would have a better life, education, job, etc. It was a hard decision that my dad made when he chose to leave Nepal and come to USA. Moving to a place where literally everything is different, language, culture etc., all because your kid would have a better education, lifestyle, future etc. My dad was pretty devastated when he found out that he had to leave everything that he has worked his whole life for. I never thought what must be going through his mind at the time. When I told him I want to leave Nepal and come to USA the only thing that he asked me was "Will you be happy?' And I responded yes. That was the moment my life changed and that all happened because of my dad.
When I was a kid my dad used the phrase "Simple living high thinking" a lot. When we were on our way to USA, we had to spend 3-4 nights in capital Nepal. The place was pretty smelly but the excitement of coming to USA took over. I saw how sad my dad was at that moment and there was nothing I could do, I mean I was pretty immature at that time. We left Kathmandu and we had a long 2 days ahead of us. We landed in Dubai and we had to spend 8 hours in the airport before we could catch our next flight. My dad stood almost 3 hours in a line to get a food in a country where he understood nothing, where the food was different, money was different but somehow, he managed to get food for our family. I cannot think how hard it must have been
Everyone in the world has someone they look up to and want to be just like them one day. Everyone has different opinions about who a true hero is. My personal hero is my dad, David Laetzsch. My dad is my favorite person in the world because he is always there when I need him the most and I don’t know where I would be today without him. He has helped get me to the great life I have now and I am forever thankful for all he does for me. Nobody could ever compare to my father. He is the most caring, loving and genuine person I know even if he doesn’t show it sometimes, and that is why he is my hero.
Heros are just ordinary people who are extraordinarily selfless, honorable, and strong. They are people we walk by everyday who strive to improve the quality of other people’s lives. A hero is not motivated by dollars but by hope. Hope that they can make their mark on the world and can carry others to a place better than where they reside. True heros, from superman to your own personal hero, all have one power, the power to touch hearts and
You don’t have to have super powers to be a hero. Someone who is a hero is someone who is admired for their courage, achievements, and noble qualities. My dad is my hero in many ways. He is my hero because he is always there for me when I need him, he always challenges me, and he puts family first.
One person’s hero might seem equivalent to an another ordinary person to another. My father might not be world famous, but to me he’s just as much of a hero to me than any one of those people. Every day he works to ensure sure that I have an opportunity to succeed in life, have a peaceful life, and be able to grow as a person.
the Disney movie Hercules, the king of the gods, Zeus, said “A true hero isn’t measured by the size of his strength, but by the strength of his heart.” This quote shows how heroism is not defined by strength. Being a hero is not always being the strongest of all but instead is how one helps others when facing challenges. Heroism is not always satisfying everyone, but it involves putting others first despite the risks and being courageous.
There are many heroes in the world today extending from professional athletes to parents. A hero isn’t necessarily someone who can fly or do supernatural things. A Hero is defined as “someone who does the right thing at the right time because it is the right thing to do. Regardless of who is watching.” Being a hero means standing up for what one believes in and not letting other people’s opinions
Lots of people have heard of Batman, Superman, and Spiderman. All 3 of these names go under the category of your average hero. But, Have you ever stopped to think,” What makes a hero?” You don’t need to have superpowers, a fancy suit, or even a concealed identity to be a hero. There are many people out there that are heroes Just like Oprah Winfrey and Gloria Estefan. These two people have donated millions, help others, and set up charities. Now anybody can be a hero, by contributing to society, giving donations, and even just doing a little something to help other is hero.
“A hero isn’t measured by a size of his strength, but by the strength of his heart.” If you don't have a heart, you can't be defined as a hero. Heroism is being a leader, being brave ,and having courage.
Have you ever considered what an everyday hero looks like? A hero can be a policeman, a firefighter, it can even be you and me, or it may even be our mom and dad, and also a hero can be anybody in the world that makes a difference. A hero is when somebody is when somebody needs help a hero helps them in any way necessary, even though the hero might have a few struggles along the way.
Heroes are very special people, and I have some of my own. After doing interviews on my mom and grandma, I discovered that we all have a different definition of ‘hero’ but a hero is important to each of us. For example, my grandma thinks a hero is someone who lives what they believe, and my mom thinks a hero is someone who is selfless, puts others before them, and always does the right thing.
Throughout our whole lives people have seen heroes as someone who puts themselves before others. However, that’s not my definition of a hero. A hero to me is necessary in modern society because we need someone who demonstrates courage, never giving up, and making a difference.
For example, my hero is my dad because when I was nine years old, he got sick. My dad went to the doctor, and the doctors said that he was three days with the burst appendix. In that time I was living in New Laredo. Therefore I was in school when all of that happens. I was scared because, I thought that my dad would not resist the operation but, thank God he did. He is my hero because he is the one that has always been there by my side when I need him. The doctors were surprised because they tell my dad that out of 10 that have the appendix burst only one survives and my dad is alive. Now it had passed five years since that happens and he is great. The heroes are in all around the world to help other people who need help with something. I think that around the world all the people are real and all of the people are heroes in one way or another, but some of them are passing through a difficult
A hero is not a movie character. A hero is not someone who never fails. A hero is not someone who does something valiant when he has nothing to lose and something to gain. I have a hero in my life. My hero is my lovely mother. She showed me the right path in life. She taught me what’s right and erroneous and I thank her for that. She's the reason why I'm a man today and make the right decisions in life. That is a hero to me someone who makes an impact in my life.
What does make a hero a hero? Is it there looks? Alternatively, maybe is it their personality? However, the question is what are those essential qualities that make one a hero? Different people require different heroes to look up to or try to emulate. However, whoever it may be, they all possess certain qualities. My hero is my mother, for the reason that she is selfless, compassion, and courage. That kind of selflessness can often be premeditated, since concentrating on others' needs often winds up helping one accomplish one’s own goals. However, a heroic leader does so without any anticipation of a return. The display and concern show the care one has for others. This can often apparent itself in strong but gentle actions planned to increase the lives of others. Courage and bravery come to mind first when we think of heroism. However, it is difficult to achieve anything truly heroic unless one is up against overwhelming chances. As Nelson Mandela put it, "Courage is not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it." These minor acts of heroism rarely attract any notice. A true hero is always sympathetic, benevolent and shows a great deal of compassion and sympathy to those poorly or in agony. He or she keeps away judgements; that are oriented to the self and embraces an attitude that serves others.
Christopher Reeve once said, "A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to preserve and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles." Everyday people get hit with obstacles but most people get scared and give up. A true hero however is one who gets up off the canvas and keeps growing no matter the circumstance. My mother is my hero because every single day of her life she gets up with a positive attitude and grinds no matter what. If she gets knocked down she always gets up and becomes stronger then when she fell. One of my mother's favorite quotes is a quote from les brown which states "When life knocks you down, try to land on your back. Because if you can look up, you can get up." She lives by this quote every day and
