I believe that I would be successful at this job because animals are my passion. I know why this interest me it’s just animals seem fascinating. I know why the experience is a feeling I will never forget when the appreciation feeling comes to my mind when I think about it. Veterinarians diagnose and treat diseases and dysfunctions of animals. I've had my goals set high since I was five years old; I aspire to become a board-certified veterinary surgeon. At the young age of five, whenever I was asked the question of what I wanted to "be" when I got older, I confidently answered "I am going to be a vet." Almost thirteen years later, I answer that question even more confidently. I am going to be a veterinarian.
Being a veterinarian has many of hoops that I must jump through, such as; having important features that will help you throughout the career, different job duties depending on what field of being a veterinary you choose, the education I will need, challenges with clients, the pets themselves and an abundance of other things. There are also a great deal of benefits of the this job, which makes it all worth it. Becoming a veterinarian is the best job for me, because I love to be around animals and I love helping them in life.
My legacy, the people I have touched, I have touched people my sister because I have prepared her through all of her grades and obstacles ahead of her and all of the little kids that I have played softball with an helped them for school tryouts. Some of my major accomplishments are in sports like making the school softball team in 6th grade and coming in second in our division another one is I worked as hard as I could and moved my grade from a C to a B.
Veterinarians have various tasks that they must do in their job. The first task is that they care for and treat sick or injured animals (Veterinarian). They also inform owners of what is needed for their pet to keep them as healthy as they
Considering lifetime goals, many people are unsure on how to prepare. They will either center around areas with no direction or only concern themselves with the subject with which they would like to be a professional in. This way they can find their passion or learn more about it. Since I was little, somewhere within deep myself, I have always strived to become someone who will be able to help others. The way I have come to realize how I can achieve this is to become a veterinarian. I will be able to help people who are unable to help the ones they love, their animals.
This career fits my personality because I love animals and I do not become too attached to them that I would not be able to do the job that I needed to do as a veterinarian. Being a veterinarian provides personal values such as helping others, because as a veterinarian you should do everything you can to help the animal and satisfy the customer. Another personal value is that the job is challenging, you face many challenges when it comes to finding the issue or issues when examining an animal, performing a surgery and doing it correctly, prescribing the correct medicine that will help the animal get better as soon as possible, and putting the animal down when you think the time
Veterinarians can choose from different specialties for a career path. Even though choosing to specialize in large animal care is less lucrative than becoming a companion animal vet, there are many reasons to still choose it as a career. Unfortunately, there is currently a shortage of large animal veterinarians. There are several factors that contribute to this shortage, including financial, large rural areas and physical challenges. Veterinarians who care for livestock are important for the production of food and any shortages of these veterinarians may have a negative effect on agriculture.
The main role of a veterinarian is to care for animals, whether that be in a clinic, in a zoo, on a farm, or in the wild. However, five percent of veterinarians have positions in the government, social advocacy groups, or educational services (CollegeGrad). The other ninety-five percent of the veterinary community find themselves in the hands-on area of the field. The responsibility of the majority of veterinarians is to diagnose and treat animals.
There are many duties of being a veterinarian. Vets treat sick and injured animals. They also euthanize very old or sick animals. This way, animals can die in a relatively pain-free way. Preventive medical care is provied. They vaccinate and provide check-ups to make sure animals stay healthy. Vets give owners advice about animal care and breeding. Like doctors, vets may focus on a one area of medicine. Before becoming a veterinarian, a specific education is needed (“Veterinarian”).
When I was a child I wanted to be a veterinarian, I had such a passion for “helping” my furry little friends with the plastic toys my mom got me for Christmas. I was so dead set I never wanted to explore any other career field, well that lasted up until about middle school when I witnessed my first dog pass away. It was all downhill from there. So, after, I lived my life going with the flow and not thinking about much else except for friends, sports and school. Then the time came for me to choose what I really wanted to do junior/senior of high school when college applications were due and my parents really wanted me to pick a major before I started college. I knew I wanted to follow in my parents footsteps and do something in the medical field,
When I was growing up I wanted to become a veterinarian; simple as that. As time went on I realized something kinda sorta essential. Dogs don’t enjoy the vet, don’t tolerate it, they hate it. Fear may be a more rational word to describe it, but guess what that does not make a catchy title. Over time my aspirations changed and I now find myself striving to be a wildlife rehabilitator. A form of veterinarian to a much wider range of animals than pets and companions, but that does not displace them in my heart. I love all animals, not a dog person, not a cat person, an animal person.
exotic, mixed, and lab animals. My interest lies only between two of the five jobs:
Not many people have their careers planned out during high school. Fewer have it planned out in middle school, and almost no one has planned on the same career for their whole lives. I, however, have always wanted to be a veterinarian. I’ve been raised around animals my entire life, everything from livestock to exotics. It had always been a given for me that I would grow up to do something involving helping animals. Since my life has always revolved around horses, it makes sense that everyone always assumes I want to work as an equestrian vet. They’re always surprised when I say I never want to work on horses more than is required to graduate. But I learned the hard way that I have no desire to be responsible for someone else’s sick horse.
Working with animals and helping animals is my dream job. I have always wanted to promote the health and welfare of animals and relieve the suffering they receive. This has lead me to want to become a Veterinarian. My education will help me attain this goal of mine.
Veterinarians duties include the following: examine and diagnose animals’ health problems, treat wounds, perform surgery, also test and vaccinate for diseases (“Veterinarians” para. 11). The main service of a veterinarian is diagnosing and treating conditions of animals and pets (M, Taylor para. 2). Vets also have to calmly explain the condition of the pet, or the procedure the pet has to go through to the pet owner (M, Taylor para. 2). The article stated, “Veterinarians care for the health of animals and work to improve public health” (“Veterinarians” para. 2). To treat the animal, Veterinarians has to make the right decision for treating illnesses and injuries of animals because vets cannot give the pet the wrong treatment (“Veterinarians” para. 39). Most of all a vet should be a person that loves to be around animals (“M, Taylor para. 7).
