It feels like a location of my very own , not many people would not call it their favorite place but it has been mine all through high school and still till this day. The location became my best friend we saw each other everyday, and it always knew what was going on in my life. It was far from perfect but I never cared because it was something I always had and it never changed. It is still my favorite place because it holds memories of friends and milestones as well as problems and secrets. I almost spent more time there than I did at home or any where else for that matter. I never felt so welcomed anywhere like there was no one to judge me or anyone I was with. Where I came from there is not much to do or many places to even go,but this place was near and no one could tell me not to spend all of my time there. The feeling of freedom and of the closes thing I had to adventure at the time was one of the best feelings I could ever had. Since this is where I spent most of my time I made mistakes and great choices there. This place is where I learned who I value, what I value ,what my morals are and overall who I wanted to be. My favorite place is my favorite place because it was always there for me, it was accessible, and it taught me life lessons. My favorite place makes me feel relaxed, calm, and most importantly free. I felt a warm welcome everytime I went as if it had open arms waiting for me. The fresh cut grass was better than any candle or perfume. The grass was always
grew up in Chicago, Illinois, a beautiful city surrounded by violence and controversy by the media. I found things more simple when I was kid growing up here, there wasn't much to worry about but as I got older things became more complex here. The sounds of the " L "' or as you know it as, The Train, and the roaring sounds of cars passing by my house made me feel alive while growing up and as a matter of fact still does. You could wake up in the morning and see the vibrant blue skies being pierced by the skyscrapers and see other kids playing ball or riding their bikes. When it was summer time I would play ins sprinklers or go downtown and play in the fountains with my family. Of course, like most big cities I had to watch my back while growing up because you never knew what somebody was up to. It's weird really growing up here because you never know what's going to happen next , wether it's a good thing or a bad thing. All I can really say about growing up in Chicago is that if I had the chance to redo it, I'd do if a million times.
My favorite place I can remember in my early childhood was my grandpa’s house. I loved being able to go there and hunt. He was He always used to have some of the best coyote, rabbit, deer, and pheasant hunting I can ever remember. I loved riding horse over the rolling hills west river chasing and branding cattle. The people there are different, they help each other or loan something to somebody for no cost. They don’t demand money for their deeds and it just seems around here that is getting to be unheard of. I would go back there in a heartbeat at any time if I could.
I moved to Yankton, South Dakota when I was 6. I moved from Kearney, NE. I was really excited to move into a new house and a new town. Yankton is smaller than my old town it's also farther away from all of my family. For the most part I like yankton, most of the people are really nice. Since there is nothing to do in Yankton besides shopping around town in little stores, or going to a movie, or even going to dinner, or just driving around, my favorite thing is going to the lake and the bridge. There for my favorite part is definitely the lake. I love the trails and the beaches and everything down there. It's so peaceful and beautiful it's just a great place to get away. I like my school too, I mean sure it has its ups and downs but in reality
I was born 23 years ago in the Dominican Republic, an island located in the Greater Antilles. There is a saying from my country that goes "Mi tiera mi corazon" meaning my country my love, which explain exactly how I felt about the Dominican Republic. To me the Island of Santo Domingo is the greatest in the World; there are beautiful people, gorgeous weather and all the mangoes I could have eaten. Then one day my parents gave me the bad news, they were moving to this place called New York, they told my brother and me that they would send for us later. That was 12 years ago and now here I am living in New York, the greatest city in the world, next to my Santo Domingo. When I was younger New York seemed as big as
I think we all have a beautiful place in our mind. Somewhere where we can go and get away from our everyday life. A place where we can just go and have a good time and forget about everything we left behind. That place for me is Assateague Island, Maryland. I have only been to Assateague Island two or three times but I for sure would love to go down again, sometime soon. The experience that I had down there was amazing.
Some may call Woodbine, the town in Camden that literally has nothing.Yet now living in a city with a stop light around every corner and traffic like Jacksonville during rush hour I tend to miss the middle nowhere. I would literally give anything to be back in this beautiful city every time that 5 o 'clock rush hits in Valdosta. In "da bine" we never had to worry too much about locking our doors or much crime. To this day you will always see everybody at the dollar
Living in one place for so long feels different than what I remember when I was younger. I do like having a consistent group of friends and living in the same home for a long time, but I miss moving around and seeing new places a lot.
Nolensville, Tennessee. The place I call home. I have lived here for the past five years, and although I have not loved every second of it, it has grown to be a place I love to call home. I mostly grew up in Brentwood, Tennessee until I was 13 and got the news we were moving to a new town. I would have to change to new schools and make new friends while having to move houses too.
Here is my sacred space, Carlin Park, which is located in my hometown, Jupiter, Florida! The park features tennis courts where I often practice, a running trail, a delicious restaurant, and of course beautiful beach access to Juno Beach. You can spend an entire day here and never get bored, although many people simply set up a picnic at the many picnic tables or just relax. This place is sacred to me because whenever my life got hectic, I knew I could pack up my car and head over to Carlin Park and spend a couple hours at the beach to clear my head. The space itself is so bright and open since it is right on the water. There is so much to do and appreciate. I had my first cross country meet ever in this park, and I was not even nervous since
My favorite place is San Clemente in California. I remember my first time going there falling in love with that town. I have a friend who invited me to come over his house, and I went two years ago. Since that occasion San Clemente turned into my favorite place to be. In this paper, I am going to explain a little bit of the background of this story. When I first got here I remember passing hard times as an international student since I could not get use to speaking the language, living in a different country and living a different life style. During my first week in school in The United States I knew a friend from California whom always hang out with, so was on spring break when I got to go to San Clemente for the first time in my entire life. I will describe further how is that place like and why is my favorite.
I live on a beautiful island in the Caribbean with pristine white beaches and turquoise waters. People save their pennies and their vacation days for a chance to visit where I call home now. Moving from a vibrant city filled with young professionals and happy hours galore. Always something to do, somewhere to be, someone to meet and full with many opportunities.
As I sit here, on the hood of my car looking out into the vast field I think to myself, why this place? Out of all the places that mean so much to me, why does this place stand out the most? Everyone has that one spot that is special to him or her for various reasons whether it be a memory, experience, how it makes them feel, etc. For me, my favorite place encompasses all my senses bringing them to an all time high filling me with an overwhelming indescribable feeling. It’s my sanctuary, a safe place, but above all a place to clear my mind and getaway from reality. There aren’t enough captivating words to describe the beauty of this place. In the winter, the vast field covered in a blanket of untouched glimmering snow surrounded by bare
It is no doubt about it that everyone has somewhere that they have adapted to long enough to call it there home! A place they can relax and really be their selves, for some it may have been their grandparents house, aunties house or wherever they felt comfortable. Well I of course felt comfortable in my own home, a four bedroom house on the west side of North Miami. My home in Miami was perfect I had my own room, I was very comfortable there, and it was a place to get away from the world.
Words like cozy, calm, and memories can be used to describe my special place. A special place depends on the individual you are referring to. To me a special place allows the person to be happy and sad at the same place. This is where all realms of memories are made, allowing the individual to be able to reflect on them when entering that special atmosphere. In the warm summers I sit in our lawn with my dog as the cool wind blows, a feeling falls over me thinking about why I love my home and property so much and that I'm so very thankful to have it. I zone out for hours thinking about all the time that I have spent there with my family and friends. While I never regret any of the memories I have made, I cherish all of them and hold them close to my heart.
As a child, people will always remember certain destinations that stick with them that made a good impression. I have a place that not only made a good impression, it changed me. It made me think off all the things in life people take for granted; places, people, activates. This place brought all though special things in life to one place where I can enjoy them all at the same time. The Oregon coast. Traveling there, as a kid was always special. Waking up early in the morning and driving the long trip there, going through forests, valleys, and cities.
