My Favorite Holiday Is Christmas

Soccer is not only a sport for me, but also my childhood. I remember that when I was a little boy, I followed my older brothers and their friends to play soccer every day. We did not have the soccer fields. We played soccer on the quite streets or on the fields, not soccer fields, wherever we had spaces to run and control the ball. Because of I came a person like soccer. I like to play and watch others play it. Soccer is running is my blood. I am really interested in the soccer.

Well for me, football is my top favorite sport. When I was in school, I had a problem with authority, and teachers would often make me mad. I tried hard to control my aggression, frustration, and anger. I jumped into drugs and cigarettes to fights and gangs. Because nothing I tried worked, I went to football tryouts. I felt happy and excited for the first time in a long time; I eventually got on the field and ran and ran.

Soccer has been one of the most important things in my life. The sport has made me who I am and is the reason for my life's determination to make something of myself. Everything I can say I've accomplished in life has been through the amazing sport. I have played soccer since I was 4 years old and it's been such a huge part in my life. The games, the practices, the traveling, the teammates, the coaches. Everything since the first day of starting has been such huge motivation in my life. Soccer is the reason to keep pushing so hard through life's obstacles. I can go to the soccer field everyday and it will make my bad days good, and my good days better. I was born Monday, November 22nd 1999 at 7:14 pm at 9lbs and 1 oz in San Antonio, Texas on a nice and cool night at santa rosa methodist hospital. My mom likes to say that was the best day of her life after being in labor for 2 days i’d finally decided to get out. My dad said he was just excited to finally meet the baby that caused so much trouble. However no matter how happy my parents were the day of my birth my father had still wanted his first born to be a boy, instead he got me. Soccer is my passion because it has given me so many opportunities in life and I have most of my best memories from playing soccer. Ever since I was young years old soccer has been my number one sport, I have played other sports like basketball, softball, volleyball and tennis but soccer has been the main one that has stuck with me. I was born on September 26, 2003, at the Northridge Hospital. My mom had just rented an apartment for a roof to live. She wanted a fresh start for her new daughter, but we were only going to live there for a few years. She named me Janellie because the name Nellie runs in the family. My grandmother’s name was Maria Nellie, and many of my cousins are named Nellie as well. My father still wanted something unique for his first child. My mom already had a daughter with another person years before she met my dad. After a while, my parents decided on naming me Janellie.

I was born June 21, 1999, at Rainbow Children’s Hospital. When I was born, my feet were bent crooked. I had to wear casts on both of my feet until I turned one year old. I still even have my casts to this day. My Aunt Tricia chose my full name, Deja Monae Kent. I do not know how, but my mom thought I was a little boy and she was going to name me Devante (NO, the doctors did not tell her incorrect information). I really do not know where Deja came from, but Monae came from this baby at our church. The first couple of years of my life were beautiful. I was passed around from family member to family member on my mother’s side of the family every week; they just could not get enough of me or my smile.
