In my classroom, the purpose and goals of education are to develop a student's knowledge and skills for life. Also, to create well-rounded students, and to raise the bar of student understanding. The role of a student in education is to be involved in their own learning, to ask questions when there is a lack of understanding, and to work to the best of their ability in school. The role of the teacher is to be someone the students can trust and feel like they can talk to, also to engage students in learning and to be understanding of the students circumstance. I believe that students learn with experience and repetition. Also, by making their own decisions in their own time about learning. And by trial and error, with guidance from the teacher. My goals and purposes for my classroom are to develop the student's knowledge and skills set for life. I want my students to leave my classroom not only prepared for the next grade, but also for life. My goal is to help my students grow in what they learn over the course of the year in my classroom. I want to engage students in learning and to develop their minds and stretch them to achieve their own goals of their education. Also, I want for my students to leave my classroom well-rounded, to bring up the areas that they might be struggling in, and raise the bar on subjects they are excelling in. It is important for me to set goals for my future students and to aid them to be successful in school. My purpose as a teacher is to inspire students and to motivate the act of lifelong learning. I find it necessary to challenge students and put the students out of his or her comfort zone with stimulating tasks and activities. My goals and purposes of education are to better the student and to help them become the ultimate citizen. The role of a student in the classroom should be to work hard and do his or her best, to be positive, ask questions , and be involved in the classroom and the community. I believe that students should work hard and do their best in everything they do, and be proud of their work. In my classroom I will encourage students to be positive and optimistic when learning. I my classroom I want students to express themselves through
My educational goals were to get a certificate in Health Information Technology as a certified coder. But I change my mind and decided to get my associates degree because it provides me with more opportunities in the field. I can choose many different careers such as health information analyst, insurance claims analyst, records technician specialist, etc. With this degree I can improve my family financial situation and be an example to my children that if you put your mind to it, you can achieve anything.
TEACHER ROLES: I believe that the teacher of elementary students has many roles. I will sometimes be a facilitator-guide, sometimes a supportive, nurturing mother-like figure, and sometimes a sage who imparts knowledge. I will encourage my students to become more self-aware and self-managing. I believe that elementary school teachers must focus significant classroom time on the acquisition of social and community skills such as mutual respect, cooperation, friendship-building skills, and kindness.
As a teacher, one of my main roles is to motivate my learners, to develop their ability to learn also to develop my learner’s aspiration to learn. When you train to teach you read about delivering training and how to facilitating learning, but in reality you do much more than that, your role as a teacher is not just about teaching your subject or preparing learners for assessment. The focus of your role as a teacher I feel relates very much to inspiring your learners to change and develop their personal, social and professional skills to the best of their
For my educational plans, I have a clear understanding and vision of where I want to go and who I have the desire to be. For now, I would like to graduate with my Associates in Arts degree in Nursing from Indian River State College. I believe Indian River State is an excellent place to begin my journey and recieve my education in order to better prepair myself for what is yet to come. After I recieve my Associates degree from Indian River, I plan to transfer to the University of South Florida in order to extend my education and potentially recieve my Bachelors and Masters of Science degree in Nursing.
My mission as a teacher is to significantly improve and develop the lives of the students I teach. My classroom will be an example of high integrity and
My role as a teacher is to provide activities that are mentally stimulating and that encourage personal growth. It is my responsibility to support and encourage my students as they discover themselves and their burgeoning feelings.
Successful teaching occurs when the teacher is able to select the most efficient method for reaching out to each student’s individual style of learning and inspire students to rise to their highest potential. While the responsibilities of a teacher are extensive (as one can serve as a teacher, a friend, a counselor, a disciplinarian, an entertainer, a facilitator), I believe that students should play a big part in shaping own education as well.
I believe the purposes of today's schools include learning curriculums that are enjoyable for students that improve knowledge and prepares students for real world experiences. I want my students to feel like they have a purpose of being in school and are capable of making changes. These beliefs have been shaped by the educational experiences that I had in a preschool classroom my senior year of high school. In my preschool classroom, I taught eleven preschools science, math, social studies, reading, and writing. When I made lesson plans I planned lessons that students would enjoy, but also were learning the curriculum. Some lessons that I created was when the students were learning their letters I put shaving cream on trays and would have
Regardless of the factors that determine the nature of students, I feel the purpose of education is to make sure every student has the ability to live up to his or her full potential. I also feel every student should have the chance to learn and excel through education. When I become a teacher, I will make sure each of my students receives the knowledge they need and has the opportunity to grow during the learning process. I never want a student to leave my classroom and say, “I didn’t learn anything today.” I hope for
I believe that Martin Luther King Jr. captured the fundamentals of teaching when he said, “The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically.” My goal as a teacher is to allow the students to apply what they learn in the classroom to the outside world. I personally believe that school should be a place for the students to come and not have to worry about feeling embarrassed/bullied. It should ultimately be a place of understanding and learning.
An educator’s central goal is to make a difference in their student’s education by setting equal learning opportunities. Teachers are able to achieve success by incorporating different learning styles according to their students.
As an aspiring doctor and aspiring direct M.D. student, my desire is to learn more about the STEM subjects such as science, medicine, and mathematics. I wanted to be a doctor, to help people heal, help people reach their fullest potential in their health and to save people’s lives. My interests vary from psychology to mathematics to sciences to anatomy and much more. My goal for next year as a junior is to take the course, AP Biology. In senior year, if possible, I would like to take the course Honors Biotechnology Project. This project includes extracting DNA from an organism, then amplifying and sequencing the gene. Also, I hope to take challenging advanced courses such as AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, and Honors Anatomy and Phycology. With these big dreams and goals that I hope I can accomplish, I know I will need to work
As a teacher, one’s role and responsibility should be towards the learners’ ability to learn and for learning to be as tailored made for the individual learner.
As a student, the main objective of my education is to gain the required skills needed to be able to properly take my place in the society and contribute to its progress. Education comes in all forms and from the different individuals, we encounter in our lives. In school, studious students sit in the classroom to be taught the required knowledge to succeed. This knowledge is imparted by qualified teachers. Therefore, they pay rapt attention to what is being taught because they trust that the information being given to them, must be accurate. These students trust their teacher to be right. Therefore, students need not

It’s my desire to make our classroom a safe and positive environment. In our class we will respect each other. Finally I will be fair to each of you when it comes to you behavior.
