My Educational Goals At Rutgers University

I known about Rutgers New Brunswick through friends of mine who a Herd the University. They told me that Rutgers undergraduate degree programs are comprehensive and include a spectrum of majors. When I read about Rutgers, I found that Rutgers is truly impressive because of the way that the faculty, students, and community help to create an environment that celebrates dreams, empowers aspiration, and supports individual efforts. I also like Rutgers because they pair college degrees with experience. So, at Rutgers, I will take classroom instruction to a higher level through personal attention and hands-on experience.

I have had a lifetime goal to attend college, it just didn’t happen early in life. When I first came to CCU, there was no doubt that getting my bachelors in early childhood would be my major. My passion has always been young children. It started when I babysat as a young teenager and has continued in my life as a preschool teacher. Education is constantly changing: therefore, I feel I need to have more knowledge and wisdom to be the best teacher possible. Education is by far one of the most important tools to have a successful life. With diligence, I want to be a leading educator and to be a gateway for my students to learn. It’s exhilarating how many lives a teacher will touch each day. A teacher has the power to reach out and make learning a positive and memorable experience for every child. Furthermore, teachers are one of the first caregivers for young children. Although I am not at the beginning of my career, while at CCU, I will grow in faith, help and learn from others, and strive to graduate with honors.

Rutgers education will help me achieve my career goals or my personal enrichments by taking the courses they have offered and many extracurricular activities like business clubs. The courses they have offered are..This education help me achieve my goal by learning how to use the tools they offer or the professor’s experience will help pass on to their students like me to help prepare us in the real world.

Ever since I was young, I was exposed to a Historically Black College or University, Jackson State University. I had always went to activities and functions such as football games, summer programs, and other special events. I did not know whether I would attend a historically Black College or University (HBCU) or not at the time. I had finally decided to go to a HBCU, and I would attend Tougaloo College in the fall to further my education. I have many goals and objectives for pursing my educational experience at a historically Black College, and I plan to achieve them.

I believe that a Rutgers education will help me achieve my own personal enrichment and career goals, through giving me the best resources possible and by allowing me to take advantage of said resources. Having a Rutgers education will provide me with a variety of tools and opportunities that my previous college could not offer me. Attending a Rutgers school will not only open new doors for me but also introduce me to a vast pool filled with knowledge and life changing experiences that will surely be imperative to my growth as an individual. With a Rutgers education, I will be able to make my own mark in society.

Excellence motivates me to achieve, regardless of hardships and obstructions in my path. I put in effort and hard work to maintain a healthy balance with school, work, and extracurricular activities, so that I can continue to achieve. I have visited Rutgers University several times last year and each time lowered me in more and more. My first visit was to the Rutgers Camden Campus for Open House event. The information received sparked a curiosity inside of me to check out what the other campuses had to offer me. After doing much-needed research on what I really wanted to do with my life and career goals I began to have my eyes set on Rutgers University Newark Campus. I then made sure that I had to make it to the next upcoming Fall Open House to experience this wonderful campus for myself.

Furthermore, with the skills acquired from the college, I can aid not only myself, but others around me to move forward in technological advances and work for an ever growing future. Not only that, but I am yearning to observe how deep my passion for technology will bring me into learning in the Computer Science Major. No matter how challenging the course may be or how difficult it is to comprehend at first, nothing is impossible and will not stop me from my way of benefiting others around

I believe a Rutgers education can aid me in achieving my personal enrichment and career goals in a variety of ways. First of all, Rutgers is a highly regarded University not only in the state of New Jersey but in the country. U.S. News ranks it among the top twenty-five public schools in America. Growing up I have always been passionate about mathematics, it’s something I look forward to learning in school each and every single day. Lately, I have developed an interest in engineering, specifically electrical & computer engineering. Both majors are offered by Rutgers, and their respective programs have a reputation for producing terrific engineers and mathematicians. Going to college has been a dream of mine growing up. I am the first ever in my family to go to college but figuring out how to pay for it has been a challenge. I desire to achieve my academic and career goals and this scholarship can help me succeed in my journey.

This experience as a leader in many of my programming groups and the time I spent individually with professors in order to think about and work on my own projects really showed me that Computer Science was the correct field for me. However, I soon started to realize that one of the major disadvantages of attending a community college is that you have a lot fewer resources than many 4 year students. So I started to look for a school that I knew could give me the right community and environment for me to develop my understanding of Computer Science. One of the things that I found that I really liked most at my Community College was the work ethic and passion that other Computer Science students had. Having known a few current students and alumnis of Rensselaer, and having visited the campus twice now I can say that I really admire the RPI community and would love to become a part of it. When I went to HackRPI last November with a friend who currently goes to RPI, I got to meet and work with some of the most talented students which really pushed me to apply. I was also fortunate enough to speak with a few people who are in the Cognitive Science department, and that really peaked my interest in that field as a

The College of New Jersey gives me the ability to have a well rounded education. It allows me to major in psychology while still having the option to minor in a science or in Spanish. The small class sizes provide individualized attention and foster relationships between students and professors. I am not just a number, or just another student. With this, I have the flexibility to design my major around what will help me advance in the particular field I pick. Due to this ability, it will make me an overall better professional and competitor in my chosen field. While The College of New Jersey provides a diverse set of courses, it also offers life experience. TCNJ’s Center for Community Engaged Learning and Research will not only fulfill my desire to learn, but also to help others.
