My dream job will make a lot of money. My dream job is to be a pro football player for the NFL. My position or positions will be guard and/or tackle. The information on my two positions are, “LG and RG = left guard and right guard: The inner two members of the offensive line, whose jobs are to block for and protect the quarterback and ball carriers.” and “LT and RT = left tackle and right tackle: The outer two members of the offensive line.”, on, "Football Players ' Roles in Team Offense and Defense." For Dummies. N.p., n.d. Web. 15 Sept. 2015.Another piece of information I found is, “Only 3-4% of high school players get the opportunity to play college football, and those players are not necessarily the most talented or athletically gifted. To be recruited by any college (not just one that Lee Corso occasionally visits on Saturday mornings), players need to catch the eye of the coach, and then prove to have the combination of athletic ability, mental toughness, and intelligence (both on the football field and in the classroom—the work ethic that one applies to schoolwork counts, too) to keep the coach’s attention.”, on Shmoop Editorial Team. "Football Player: Odds of Getting In."Shmoop.com. Shmoop University, Inc., 11 Nov. 2008. Web. 15 Sept. 2015. . With these points being placed they show what my positions do and the chances of me playing football for a college and NFL. As an NFL player I will be a to receive lot of money. On the internet they list the salary for an
I have a dream in life that I want to accomplish when I grow up. Truly an NFL player since I was young child watching my favorite team play on football days. The team that I’ve always watched in my childhood team The Dallas Cowboys. I want to become an NFL player for The Dallas Cowboys. That is a big dream of mine to become an NFL player for The Dallas Cowboys. Playing with my heroes Dak, Zeke, Witten, and Dez is a life dream. Dreaming to become an NFL player one day. There’s a quote that I always read on my wall.
It is unbelievable how much sports players get payed to run around for about 3 hours throwing balls and exercising. To start the players that get paid the most are NBA (National Basketball Association) get $5.15 million per year. Next the players that get paid the most are in the MLB. Each year they get an average of $3.2 million. After MLB, NHL players get paid the third most. They average 2.4 million per year. Last but not least the NFL players get paid the 4th most in the whole world. The minimum salary
My Career is playing in the NFL. Playing in the NFL will my Plan A since its been my passion since I was little. The min wage for football is $15,000. I just want to play in the NFL to pursue my dreams just like Martin Luther King Jr. pursued is. NFL players get paid $420,000 a week. They get paid about 135 million dollars in 5 years. You buy your tickets and are looking for the place you get to see. The crowd is roaring inside the big stadium. The smoke is rising as your favorite football team walks out onto the field. Football is a fun sport to watch, but the football players are getting paid too much.
If I achieve this goal I will be able to provide for my family and have kids and a wife. And to me it doesn’t matter what team I am drafted to but want to play for the Saints. I chose this goal because I like to play football and that is my dream and I want to provide for my family. I want to give back to my mom because she has provided for me my brother and my sister for years. And my grandma has provided for me, my brother, and sister because my dad wont nor his wife. So, I want to provide for
Players that are in the pros make the big bucks. Some of the top notch players in each sport make millions and millions of dollars. For instance Albert Pujols plays baseball and is arguably the best player to play the game right now and signed a 9 year contract that is worth over 200 million dollars! Football fight to get bigger salaries because they feel the need to get paid more since they have a greater risk of getting injured. Baseball the players don’t argue as much as football players when it comes to salary.
around 6 million dollars a year. Most argue that the athletes are paid enough when it comes to
Although NFL players earn a hefty amount of money, it is not something so important that you would let go of your studies. According to Scholastic Scope, College Football players often make the game of Football as their first priority, which they aren’t supposed to be. This puts them at a huge disadvantage when they look for jobs. (Shotz, 10). If a student fails to make it to the NFL - which is very likely considering that only a very small portion of players make it to the Nationals - he or she would have to look for a job, which usually requires academic skills.
Von Miller of the broncos right now is making 114.5 million dollars and willie young of the bears is making 3.6 million. Have you ever wanted to be the president? Well in a year 1 NFL get paid more than the president! Also they make more than a fire fighter. All that money goes to them and they don't even save lives! Just know if you want money try out for the NFL.
The first point being,is that out of every one hundred kids, and or adults only three of them only three make it to the NFL.First,There are many that fit into this category of being one of the best football players but not the best student athlete getting in trouble for smoking weed or something like that the NFL will take someone with less talent and better as an athlete.Another scenario is when you are going for one position, and your coaches told you that you need to know how to play more than one position, and all the teams have fulfilled that position already with someone better with experience,or a better rookie.A final scenario is when you in college and high school you ran similar offenses and then when you get ready to gopro and you can’t learn the plays right,or the formations to line up,and the quarterback is the leader on the field. This is just one factor to the life of a NFL player to a guy who just played college this makes any difference.
A normal NFL player is paid about $860,000 Per year. But that could change because 2011-2014 they got paid about $770,000 a year but in 2015 they changed
The reason MLB players make so much is because there are 162 games per team a season not including the playoffs. Where as in the NFL there are only 16 games not including the playoffs. With baseball players playing multiple games per week & football players playing one or two games a week but usually one the money start to add up. It has also been argued that college athletes should be paid for what they do. While the NCAA is completely against collegiate athletes getting paid. However, that does not stop some players from getting money. Houston Texans running back Arian Foster came out and said in an interview that while playing football at Tennessee he took money on the side because he didn’t have enough money to eat. “My senior year I was getting money on the side.”- Arian Foster. “I really didn’t have any money. I had to either pay rent or buy some food.”- Arian Foster Also just last season Texas A&M Quarterback Johnny Manziel was put under investigation by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) for supposedly receiving money for a large amount of autographed memorabilia that he signed. The NCAA is completely against collegiate athletes receiving money.
Of course I had dreams of playing professional sport like every other young male in the world but, a wise man spoke to me and he asked me how much my favorite basketball player makes on average, I did the research and Lebron James makes over 300 million dollars annually. Younger me got that information and as expected I held strong on my dreams of being a professional athlete until he showed me 0.0015% of Americans make it into the NBA.”Out of every 10,000 kids playing basketball in high school only 3 will make it to the pros. Note, this doesn’t mean they’re going to stay in the pros more than 5 seconds. This doesn’t mean they’re going to get a sneaker deal and be in a Pepsi commercial This simply means they’ll get drafted.” (Odds of Playing).
As a young adult, I was married, had two children, divorced, and lost both of my parents all before I hit the age of twenty five. My dream of going to college and being a successful Marketing Manager vanished by my own actions. I briefly attended the Community College of Vermont, where I thought I could handle school, kids, work, and life. It was after my first semester that I faced tragedy which took my life in a different direction than I had anticipated. Instead of being a college graduate, I became a blue collar worker, uneducated, and financially broke. I didn 't believe I would ever have the opportunity to reach my full potential. Not only did I not believe in myself, nobody else did either. It further pushed me into a state of despair. However, I took those negatives and turned them into positives. This is where my insatiable thirst to strive to learn and for excellence came alive. I entertained the idea of being a teacher because of my position as a substitute teacher. I was promoted to a teachers aide, and a couple of coach/mentor positions. It was rewarding but not my calling. I needed variety, intensity, and challenges. As an adult, I entered into the service industry at a little BBQ restaurant. I discovered my love of people, and my fiery ambition to up-sell. I have had a myriad of sales and leadership positions since those early days. Through the years I have visited the library to read books, I have watched videos, researched papers, and attended training
