For some time now I have been working at American Lutheran Church in the childcare department. One Sunday a couple months back, roughly around 9:00 AM as my reckoning, there were no children in the nursery. There normally isn't any in the early morning. During this time a man, that goes by the name of Jamie Ortiz, entered the room. Mr. Ortiz works in the kitchen and calls himself King of the Kitchen, at least that is what exclaimed. The moment he walked into the room, he sat himself down on one of the rocking chairs that on the right side of the room. He had made himself comfortable and brought receipts with him so he could work on expenses, and find out where exactly the money went. About ten minutes later at the very least, Debbie Smith,
I was assigned to write a technical research report on my future career or major field for my English 114 class. I chose to focus my research on finding out the qualifications, job expectations, and job outlook of a childcare worker. The information that I used in my report was obtained from a personal interview, and two online websites.
I wasnt involved in child care before going into Elementary School. Before I went directly into kindergarten, I learned to read, write, and count at home with activities online and activities my parents made up. When I went to kindergarten they involved families in the special ocasion parties, field trips, and lunch. When I work in child care, I will involve families in special events and conferences about their child. This gives me a chance to get to know the families more and learn about the families differences. I have many strengths and weaknesses will all types of families. One of my weaknesses are communicating with new families. I get nervous around new people and then warm up to them later. A strength I face with new families is patience
Social work is a career that I have always been interested in, especially working with children and families. Helping people overcome obstacles and making the most of themselves is a very rewarding and yet a challenging career. I’ll have the chance to meet a variety of different people with different problems from cases of abuse and neglect as well as supporting those in the care system. I am particularly interested in working with children and families who often form the most vulnerable service users, developing a professional and trusting relationship with them, hopefully enabling them to participate fully in society.
Becoming childcare professional requires engaging in the profession after acquiring specialized skills and knowledge to provide quality care to all children. A professional is a person who continues to perceive educational qualification to complement themselves. Some of the important skills that form the foundation of childcare professional are how we connect with others, communication as key to developing a relationship and advocacy qualities. Some parents feel young kids shouldn’t attend day care centers because it takes away boding time between a child and the parent, or a child is too young to learn .I totally disagree, a child bonds with their parents from birth, eight hours a day in child care center will not break a parents bond .Studies show the earlier a child a leaves away from their parents its teaches them to become self-sufficient on their own without total dependence of their parents.
When we had first arrived at the church, I found it was in an odd location. The building connects with a Crossfit gym, that is between two other buildings. As we entered an old man held the door for the three of us and welcomed us. We walked in, having two other gentlemen welcoming us and referring to us as ladies. The room was a lot smaller than I had expected. There was around twenty people at the meeting. We sat in the fifth or sixth row. The front of the room is where the pulpit stood, which is where the pastor taught. There was also a table with the word “Remember” engraved in it. On the table sat two plates for money donations. I looked around the room and noticed all the posters on the walls. Many of them reference the crucifixion of Christ, with a scripture on it. The room had fake plants everywhere! They were on the ground, hanging on the walls, etc. It was to invite spring into the

1. Context/ Introduction: For my third observation, on Monday October 17th, I returned back to the Kean University Child Care Center. Just like my second observation I came for my observation for the hour of 10:30-11:30 am. This time in the classroom there was four teacher aides and the teacher Ms. Kierah. When I walked into the classroom I was surprised when one of the teacher aides told me that Ethan has a lot of energy in class that day. She explained that Ethan had a lot of energy that his listening skills were a little off as well. Once she was done explaining this I was anxious to see this for myself. I saw Ethan was playing at the middle table with one other boy Steve. Quietly, I sat at the table to the right of the middle table and began my notes.
Do you ever question what you want to be doing for a living? Currently I have two careers I am interested in working in a daycare facility and owning my own in-home daycare. Before deciding between the two there is a few things I had to consider such as the pay, the hours, and investment needed. When working in a daycare facility your pay can range from $7.50-$11.21 making the median hourly salary $8.70. When owning a daycare there is no set salary your salary goes based on your customers unless your customers are willing to pay the price you set then your business can go either way. Next I would consider the hours, when working in a facility your hours are likely to go based on when you are needed as opposed to if I had my own daycare I
First of all, I am thanking you for considering me to be apart of your childcare team. I have a wonderful and charming personality and energy for children. And most importantly, every child that I have personally been with no matter how sweet and naughty they are I can get them to be the best child. In the summer of my sophomore year I have already personally worked at a childcare as a teenage volunteer four to five days a week and I have always gotten great feedbacks from parents. I have also interned at an elementary school for two weeks as a teacher’s assistant for a first grade class after those two weeks I would still visit the children’s sometimes and all of them they loved. And for the last five years I have been apart of my church’s

On Saturday 7, 2015, Alex, Michael and I drove to the Holy Cross Lutheran Church located in 11515 Ashcake Road Ashland, Virginia (about a 5 minute drive away from campus). The first thing that caught my attention was the external structure of the church. The architecture of the church is old school and it looks like a wooden house. Inside the church we could immediately tell that there were at least two floors. The top floor was where the altar was located and where the congregation took place. As soon as we stepped into the top floor, a really nice lady approached us and told us to sign a book of guests that everyone that attends the service had to sign. After we signed in, the pastor approached us and we told him that we were attending the service for a research project and that we were students from Randolph Macon College, he seemed thrilled to be able to help us.
An ethical dilemma is a situation that will often involve an apparent conflict between moral imperatives, in which to obey one would result in transgressing another. This is also called an ethical paradox since in moral philosophy, paradox plays a central role in ethics debates. For instance, an ethical admonition to "love thy neighbour as thy self" is not always just in contrast with, but sometimes in contradiction to an armed neighbour actively trying to kill you: if he or she succeeds, you will not be able to love him or her. But to pre-emptively attack them or restrain them is not usually understood as loving. This is one of the classic examples of an ethical decision clashing or conflicting with an organismic decision, one that would
