Relocating and adapting to a new environment can be a tricky task for some people . Whether it’s done legally or illegally, out of choice or not, it doesn’t make moving any less challenging. Moving in general is a major life change. Even making the smallest of movements such as a few blocks down can be the hardest of tasks. It can be very painful to leave behind all those amazing life experiences and memories that are now kept at your old house. If traveling down the street or across the country dosent phase you, then imagine moving to a new country or continent. The move to a new land is definitely stressful in various aspects and levels because there is a constant need to adapt and build a new identity.
The first stressful step that migrants face is to pack their belongings. Since they can’t take everything they desire due to the expense of shipment, they are driven to leave their favorite items behind. They are bound to leave presents received during childhood, at graduation, wedding, or even something necessary that is expensive and cannot be afforded in the first days of their move such as a refrigerator and a

This can lead to an empty longing that is difficult to relieve which may develop into depression. It is tough moving away from people that you lived with and shared all of the good and bad moments. People that you have known since you first opened your eyes. Can you think how hard it will be to be far away from people that you utilized to spend most of the time together? It is difficult to take up a new life, make new plans by yourself and adjust to the loneliness, especially if you are from a dependent country where the family unit is extremely significant. Being alone in a new country is like having a body without spirit. The physical body is in the new land, whereas the (spirit) is left in the mother country with family members and
A crowd of young rebellious men, loud voices shouting for freedom, shells, bombs, grenades, blood, and death; this is where my story started from. There are many changes that can happen in a person’s life. Some changes are very tiny and would not affect your life very much. However, other events could be very important and could change a person’s whole life, such as mine. These big events can cause a change in our lifestyle, personality, and the way we look at things. It can also make us realize the value of things that we did not care about before. My life changing event is when I moved with my family to the United States.
The relationships you leave behind are hard as well. Facebook and social media make you realize what you are leaving behind. You will see pictures of your friends and family doing all the things you used to love doing. You have to be prepared to deal with this, or it is another thing that can cause misery. As cliché as it sounds, it really does broaden your world view. You witness the inner workings of another group of people, another government, and another culture. Being a teacher, my grandfather was able to view life through the eyes of a Korean child and teen. It is different, but you realize how similar everyone really is. The same flaws, desires, interests, etc. His outlook on life has really grown a lot. You kind of realize your "nationhood" is really a constructed idea.
In some communities migration is a kind of rite of passage like marriage. For rural families migration is a survival strategy.
The most memorable event in my life was when we moved out from Russia to a country that changes lives and is known as a dream land called the United States of America. When we sat on the airplane that was going toward the United States in August of 2004, we knew our lives are going to be changed in the way we always wanted them to. After twelve years of not going to school and being discriminated by Russian citizens, this moving to a new country was the most amazing, not just in my life generally, but for my entire family as well.

Many immigrants feel the same way about the things they leave. I know I did when I left my home country of Bulgaria. My parents were hoping to provide my brother and me with a brighter future by moving to the US, the country where anything is possible, or so everyone said. It was 1998 and I was thirteen. I still remember the day we left and how hard it was for my whole family. Through tears, I said goodbye to all my relatives and friends whom I cherished and loved. I felt as if the whole world was closing up in me. I was being taken away from everything I knew and everything I loved. The cool breeze of that autumn day rushed through me as if foreshadowing a hard and cold future. The moment came for us to get on the plane. I wanted to stop time and run away, back to everything I knew. But that was impossible; the choice of turning back did not exist. As I was going up the stairs of the plane, I looked around at the airport and its surroundings. I looked and saw the warmth and light of the familiar places. I took a deep breath of the air around me, knowing it was the last time I could sense it, and went in. It really was hard for
Starting a new life in a country that is not your home is always a hard thing. If a person has moved to a country legally there won’t be as much struggles to get what they want, or start a new life. But if a person has moved to a country specially United States illegally they will face a lot of obstacles and struggles to fit in and to start a new life. Many Latinos immigrate to United States illegally to
It was a beautiful, sunny day in South Florida. I was six years old, playing by the pool with my new puppy. I loved swimming in the pool almost every day after school. I also enjoyed going out on our boat after school or crossing the street and going to the beach. My father came home one evening with some interesting news. Now, I do not remember exactly how I felt about the news at that time, but it seemed like I did not mind that much. He had announced that we were going to move back to my birth country, Belgium. I had been living in Florida for five years and it was basically all I had known so I did not know what to expect. I had to live with my mom at first, and then my sister would join us after she graduated high school and my father

Living with a different culture to our roots can lead to changes in our lives. Migrating to
The difficulty of moving to a new culture is that a lot of people would feel fear because they are so use to their own culture, so now they leave what they are used to a new way and it will be hard for them to adapt. Some may like the new food and the pace of life, then later on in the month’s people may feel like the new life and culture is unpleasant life for instance: public hygiene, the language barriers, traffic safety, and food accessibility. Still the most part in relocating to a different culture is the communication because they might not understand the language or might say the wrong word thinking it means the same in the other countries. People adjusting to a new culture often feel lonely and homesick because they are not yet
Typically, people like to think getting up and moving to another country is as easy as it sounds. People leave their home countries for various reasons, to escape as a refugee, or immigrate for a change in life. As easy as it seems to be there are so many roadblocks along the way. The country was created thousands of years ago as the holy land but over time, it has gone through different rulers and at many times the Jewish people of Israel was exiled and forced to leave the only country they knew. The history of Israel is important because it dictates as to why immigration and leaving that country to go to others in the Middle East is impossible. People have been dealing with war, military, religious, and gender regulations in Israel
Moving to a new house it’s exciting but moving to a new country it’s terrifying. That’s how I felt when I moved here to the states, terrified. Entering unknown land without knowing a sense of English can be very overwhelming at a young age. Leaving my family was definitely one of the hardest thing I’ve experienced because I couldn’t just drive back to visit them. Even though I was only 12 when I moved from Venezuela, that journey has helped me grow and have a better mindset. I get to see things differently and have a different look on life. I would say that it has definitely help me transition from childhood to adulthood. Because moving with new people, learning a new culture and language is something special yet so stressing. At times I find
