Moving To A New Country

A crowd of young rebellious men, loud voices shouting for freedom, shells, bombs, grenades, blood, and death; this is where my story started from. There are many changes that can happen in a person’s life. Some changes are very tiny and would not affect your life very much. However, other events could be very important and could change a person’s whole life, such as mine. These big events can cause a change in our lifestyle, personality, and the way we look at things. It can also make us realize the value of things that we did not care about before. My life changing event is when I moved with my family to the United States.

I want to inspire people. I want someone to look at me and say “because of you I didn’t give up.” I was born in America. Since my grandfather lives in America, my father brought my mother to be taken care of by my parents. Afterwards, I moved to Hong Kong with my parents, who were moving for job purposes. Although I understand the American culture, America and the Americans have always fascinated me. After coming back to America, I found it hard to get used to the American culture again. Though the American culture had changed since the last time I was there, I still found it fascinating. At first, I could not get along with my classmate in my former school. However, my social nature saw me talk with other people, which made it easier for me to settle after some few months.

The real fact is moving process is notoriously expensive. So the people are confused about how they could move into a new place without droping a tons of cash in the process? If you aren't fixing a budget for your moving, then it could cost you more in the long-run.

Typically, people like to think getting up and moving to another country is as easy as it sounds. People leave their home countries for various reasons, to escape as a refugee, or immigrate for a change in life. As easy as it seems to be there are so many roadblocks along the way. The country was created thousands of years ago as the holy land but over time, it has gone through different rulers and at many times the Jewish people of Israel was exiled and forced to leave the only country they knew. The history of Israel is important because it dictates as to why immigration and leaving that country to go to others in the Middle East is impossible. Moving to a new house it’s exciting but moving to a new country it’s terrifying. That’s how I felt when I moved here to the states, terrified. Entering unknown land without knowing a sense of English can be very overwhelming at a young age. Maybe it is a new job, or the promise of seeing old friends. Moving is a perfect example of how pain and change can equal gain. Although difficult to accept, sometimes embracing the odd variation can be rewarding.

The idea of moving to a different state or country can be terrifying for most people. I know for me it was. I was born and raised in New Jersey and had a decent job. Life was going great for me; at least that is what I thought. I had a lot of friends and family that had been around me my whole life. Moving away from all of this was not an option for me, until I got married and had children. By the time my daughter hit five years old, I was rushed to make a decision that would change my life forever. I had to decide whether I wanted her to go to school in New Jersey or Key West. This meant leaving my friends and family behind, and somehow depriving my children from growing up around their family.

Furthermore, the declining availability of public assistance has also increased the number of families that are in poverty or homeless. Fewer families are receiving the help they need. There were once many federal and state assistance programs that were available for those in need, but because of budget cuts, most of the funding for these programs have been cut or eliminated. As a result of loss of benefits many continue to struggle.
