Memorable Moment In Life

The year was 2015 and in my mind it was going to be one of the most pivotal moments in my life. I was turning 16, getting my driver’s license, inching closer toward adulthood, gaining my independence, and free from adult responsibilities and worries. What I did not know was that one catastrophic event would have such a devastating impact on my life.

Although I have no remembrance of my early years of life, I would say that I do know my roots pretty well; I was born in a Caribbean country named Dominican Republic on April 6, 1992, which makes me sixteen years old. I am the fourth child out of six, making me the youngest out of the three girls. The basic information only situates my position in life but does not define me. I am a simple young lady that follows a routine on a daily basis. I have done small but significant things in my previous years that have shaped who I am today.

Do you have that special person in your life that no matter what situation you are going through they manage to put a smile on your face? There are some people in life that makes you laugh a little louder, smile a little bigger, and live a little better. For me, this special person happens to be my best friend Alexia Reese. Some of my best moments in life involves her. She is so full of laughter and joy. Her humor style is definitely one of a kind, very weird and crazy.

The most memorable day of life was when my cousin, Dwayne, and I decided we were going to see a movie. The new Fast and Furious movie had just come out, and we thought it would be nice to take our girlfriends. Before we went to the movies, we took a drive which we call “the eastern ride.” It’s a very pleasant ride with nice wind beautiful night skies. We put on some romantic music and when we got to this spot called “Point Udall,” there were some guys over there at the time that we didn’t know, but we really didn’t pay them no mind. That is just how my cousin and I were at the time. We never paid attention because we never caused trouble at all. But when It came to us, we were ready for it. So when one of the guys started talking nonsense to my cousin, I was standing there and just smiling in my head. I was like who is this guy really talking to? I told my cousin, “don’t bother with that.” That is not the match we usually look for and we left.

Some women turn to having an abortion when scared and just a few don’t care about children and kill their child. Only if those women knew what the negative effects of having an abortion before they made their final decision. Woman should have the right to choose whether or not if they should go forward with the abortions with the knowledge of the negative effects. The negative effects about having an abortion are postpartum depression, damage to the organs, and highly complicated risks and if women knew these risks they’ll probably never have a abortion again.

I do not think abortion should be legal. There are so many things wrong about it. And the outcomes of all this can result in pain or death to both victims. It can cause pain to entire families knowing that they lost a relative due to a murder that the unborn child had no control over. Now I hope next time you start to think abortion is okay, think about everything I just talked about and i'm sure you'll change your

The "fetus" or baby growing inside the womans uterus could potentially become the doctor or scientist that cures cancer, but we would never know it because of the legalization of abortion, without enoigh limitations. Women, especailly teenagers have began ot use abortiona s a form of contraception, because they feel they are not ready to have a baby. Many women throughout history have felt as if abortion gives them a sense of empowerment by giving them control over their own choices and bodies (www.abortion.procon.org). Many feel it is a fundamental right and this gives them complete power over the decision made. Sometimes abortions are done in unsafe environments using dirty or used tools, this can sometimes lead the mother to sickness or death. Legal abortions are important to keep the women safe. Abortions were illegal until the year 1973 and have been a topic of conversation ever since. The Supreme Court Case Roe v. Wade made abortion legal. Many people believe that women should not be able to decide whether they are ready to have a child or not. I feel as if that is not anyone else’s decision to make. They believe that women should be held accountable for all their actions. Even if a woman is raped, some feel as if they should not abort the child. I believe that abortions should be legal. The reasons behind that are no one should tell a woman what to do with her body, parenthood is tough, and it has nothing to do with people who are not the parents. There comes a time in a many young women’s life when they are faced with having a child of their own. They have two options, either they can have the child or they could abort the child. All people deserve a chance at life, so all kinds of abortion should be illegal. Abortion should be illegal because it goes against the bible, there are women who cannot have kids who would gladly love to have the child, and fetal heartbeat can be detected as early as four weeks gestation.

If you have lived for any length of time, you probably had a defining moment. I experienced my defining moment in the summer of 2010 when I was six years old. You may not think a child that young could have a defining moment, but you would be wrong. Moreover, our experiences as children help to shape our personalities, our outlook on life, and what fears and anxieties we develop. My defining moments happened on a trip to The American Museum of Natural History.

The definition of fear is an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain, or a threat. One of my most memorable moments of my life was the first time I went to Disney Land I was terrified but because of this trip I found out how to face my fears.

My most memorable childhood event was when I was 15 years old. It was the Fourth of July. A big family vacation a barbeque, over night stay and out of town trip to six flags, and I had a blast the night before me, my mom, sisters and brother packed our bags to stay the night over my cousin house in Goodlettsville ,Tennessee. She had the biggest house ever I thought it was a mansion; six bedrooms two an half bath, a swimming pool, a game/movie room with a nice big kitchen. It was something that I was not use, knowing that we stayed in a three bedroom based on an income apartment on the East side of Nashville.
