In taking the leadership style inventories, it was not surprising to see the results. After completing almost thirty years in education, the results revealed the use of several styles in my leadership role. The Leadership Legacy results indicated that I was tied on two types of styles. They were Truth-Seeker and Experienced Guide. Tied again for one point less were Ambassador and People Mover. One less point again revealed Creative Builder. My lowest area was Advocate. I thought this assessment was close to my own perceptions. As a Truth-Seeker, I value fairness and I try to use best judgment in handling challenges. I am process oriented, and I try to remain neutral and objective in dealing with issues. Currently, Pebble Technology is “future proofing” their hardware and software. They insist that their only competition is their own inability to innovate and to keep up with the consumers’ ever increasing demand for futuristic products. Since 1939, Hewlett-Packard has been a leader in technology and corporate culture. Founders, Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard, were peers at Stanford University, where they met as engineer students. Their professor, Fred Terman, encouraged them to start a technology company together, although they went their separate ways after graduation they eventually re-united. The partnership, Hewlett-Packard, began in a rented garage, 12 by 18 feet, located in Palo Alto, California. With $538 in US Capital, in this small space, proto types were produced such as a diathermy machine, and an electric eye for automatic toilet flushing. His desire to create products that are simple, reliable, and consumer friendly, led to the creation of Apple.
