Larry Fitzgerald a record earning wide receiver from the American Cardinals was the fourth overall pick in the 2004 draft (a draft is when NFL teams select eligible college football players for their team) and currently ranks fifth in all time NFL history in receiving yards per game. On November 24th , 2013, at 30 years old, he became the youngest NFL receiver to reach 11,000 career receiving yards. He agreed to an eight year, 120 million dollar contract extension on August 20, 2011.

During Fitzgerald's teenage years he attended the University of Pittsburgh, where he charged the fields for the Pittsburgh Panthers football team held down by head coach Walt Harris. From 2002 to 2003 Larry was widely perceived as the best wide receiver in college football. After his sophomore year, fitzgerald was known as the best player in the NCAA with the 2003 Walter Camp award and the touchdown club columbus's Chic Harley award. Obviously a very successful start to his career.

in just 26 games with the Panthers, Fitzgerald caught 161 passesfor 2,677 yards and set a new pitts record with 34 receiving touchdowns.
