In the high desert mountains of Eastern border California there are slopes and valleys covered in grass with the sun shining brightly around the foothills and clouds forming on the surface of the land. In cold temperatures, water vapor crystallizes the air into microscopic snowflakes. The grassy shores surrounds blue water, and in the center you will find an ancient volcanic cone. This landscape is called Mono Lake. One of Arizona’s most largest and famous lakes is Lake Pleasant. Lake Pleasant is a water sports recreation center and a man-made storage reservoir. It’s within close driving distance of the Phoenix and Scottsdale area. Visiting and waterskiing at Lake Pleasant can be fun for anyone, even for the whole family. The tranquility of the lake can bring anyone a feeling of relaxation. It’s a great way to have a fun way to to exercise and relieve stress.

In an extreme environment like Mono Lake the presence of life there seems almost impossible. Yet it is a very productive ecosystem. Mono Lake has a very high salinity content , it is 3 times saltier than our ocean, and has a ph balance of 10. Not much life can sustain in the salty , chemically extreme environment but microbial life thrives.

This morning I was walking through the woods. The leaves and trees brushing up against my long brown hair. The morning breeze blowing through my long luscious hair. There is a dark path ahead so I walk through it. It has beautiful scenery and so many gorgeous animals as you walk into it. Summer is coming to an end and the leaves are starting to change into bright colors, which makes the whole view prettier. Then, all of the sudden I come upon something amazing and shiny, and it catches my eye so I go right over to it.

God created many natural wonders on Earth and man is trying to catchup with his own creations. For those who enjoy nature, Colorado has its fair share of natural beauty and serenity in America. There are plenty of attractions in and around Colorado. Glenwood Springs is one among them and is the best place for both thrilling and relaxing. A few years ago, I got a chance to see the performance Swan Lake by Imperial Russian Ballet and meanwhile it kindled my interest about ballet. As an art lover and piano player, I always want to work for an art institution like Goh Ballet, where is full of dreams, inspirations and passion. I appreciate that Goh Ballet helps young people to pursue their dreams and teaches them how to enjoy the arts. That is why I am applying for this job.

I begin to stare out my window to try to figure out where we are going. Then I see a road sign that says 20 miles to West Virgina. I try to think of what we coul be downing in west Virgina. My mind is racing of what we were going to do in west Virgina I mean we don't know ant people who live in west Virgina we could be going hiking but with the weather outside I highly doubt that possibility. I drift away from my thoughts as my gears begin to pop. I look out the window and see we are driving up a mountain then we drive over a bridge. Once we cross a birdge I see a sign that says welcome to west Virgina.

I woke up on a warm summer morning at 5:30 AM, I ate a bowl of cereal and we got our hunting stuff ready while my dad was doing this i played on my phone. After I played on my phone I helped my grandma get the hand warmers ready.When we got in our hunting clothing my grandma made us summer sausage sandwiches.We got in my grandpa's old car and my dad drove us to our hunting grounds at 6:00!

Imagine being trapped in a hypersaline environment. The water is undrinkable, there is little food. You struggle to find any resources. The sun is beating down on you and the sweat is pouring down your face. You come to the lake but don’t realize that you can’t drink the water. You come up and take a sip through your cupped hands. It is very salty and you suddenly realize you will need to boil it. This would be Lake Tyrrell. Lake Tyrrell is a very unique salt lake that is located in Victoria, Australia. It is very dry most of the year and you can see all the salt in the lake.
