1. What is human? What is a right? Is there such a thing called a human right? Discuss the logic behind your responses and whether or not there are implications for you personally?

In our class discussion, we defined a human as a type of being that has needs, thoughts, feelings, and ideas. They are enlightened, loving, compassionate, rational, and self-aware beings that are born of a woman. They have a soul and question the existence of God and themselves. The dictionary defines a human as a characteristic of a human being or a group in zoology that belongs to the genus Homo. They are beings other than God, animals, and machines that are susceptible to weakness. To some degree, all these statements uniquely define what a human is.
When talking about a right, our class discussion defined a right as something humans are entitled to and not just given. We know we are entitled to it. It is a freedom granted by God that can be taken by people. I think human rights do exist like the ones we discussed in class such as safety, individuality, and unique beliefs. Our human rights have been outlined in the Bible, Magna Carta, and Declaration of Independence.
On a global basis, people are working to secure the rights for all human beings. The Human Rights Watch (HRW) claims that they are one of the largest independent organizations for human rights. Even so, the U.S. may have a large influence on the HRW as it plays a major role in human rights around the world. In the past
