The Industrial Revolution began in England in the late 1700’s. The Industrial Revolution was a time of new inventions, products, and methods of work. The results of the Industrial Revolution led to many short and long-term positive and negative effects. These results have been assessed from many viewpoints such as the factory workers, the factory owners, the government, and other people who observed the conditions in industrial cities.

The industrial revolution brought many great things but these things came with a price. See the industrial revolution caused many problems that people wanted to be fixed. So this is when the progressive movement started and the 3 main goals being Promote social welfare, expand democracy, and create economic reform were put into effect. These goals Gave women the right to vote, Decreased child labor, improved the conditions of meat packaging factories, gave people a role in their nation's Government, Stopped unfair Business Practices, And improved the lives of many immigrants and working class citizens.

The Industrial Revolution in the United States took place during the 18th and 19th centuries. This revolution was one of the most prominent turning points of American history as it modernized the workforce, developed American economics, and impacted the way people lived their lives. Before it began, America was mostly a rural society, people farmer to make a living and all work was done at home (“Industrial Revolution”). Afterwards, individuals began to become depend on factories to produce the products they once hand-made.

These things are bad for the environment and they all were created by the factories during the industrial revolution. Mortality rates were decreasing rapidly. This was not only an effect of the poor living conditions, but also of the high pollution that was being created by the factories. Without the proper piping that is needed, the streets which were already filled with trash, also became smoggy and polluted. Women and child labor were very common in the industrial revolution with employees working from twelve to sixteen hours a day and being paid scarcely enough to get by.

The Industrial Revolution set people away from farms and small villages and moved them to cities and towns because of the job opportunities that arose in the cities. The Industrial Revolution not only helped people move along in the late 1700s and early 1800s but also it has made the people what they are today. During the Industrial Revolution, the movement from an agrarian society to an industrial one reshaped the roles of families, widen the gap between classes, and led to the developments in communication, transportation, and other scientific fields that completely changed humanity.

America has been expanding and growing since its birth out of Great Britain. The Industrial Revolution has been an influence in the American life since it first in the 1700s. “Most families did not have enough to sell at the market- they had just enough for their own needs.” Up until the factories started booming and employment rates skyrocketed, people really couldn’t become wealthy and live a decent life. As the ways of farming grew the English at the time began to use up more and more land efficiently. “Unusable swamplands could be drained and used for crops.” That’s absolutely amazing that in this era they could turn swamps into areas to raise more crops so they can naturally make more money at the markets and become a bit wealthier. Farming is one of the most important lively hoods of mankind; no matter what argument anyone tries to make. If we didn’t have farming and agricultural production we wouldn’t have all the different sorts of food products we do, nor would they be as abundant. Life would be like it was before the Industrial Revolution came about and most of us would still be growing our own food and barely scraping by in life. With all this agricultural expansion of the time population in England start expanding drastically as well. The industrial revolution marked a major turning point in Earth’s relationship with the environment. As said the world saw a significant increase in the population, which also applied to an increase of living standards, which led to many natural resources, however that was not the case. Natural resources were provided easily whilst it led to many severe natural changes simply because many people were consuming more natural resources. Higher living standards led to forests being cut down to make ways to expand cities and provide lumber for construction. The Industrial Revolution left an impact on the world far greater than just inventions and set forth a world of change. Although the Industrial Revolution brought many great devices in to the world, it also could have caused the accelerated climate change and warming that we saw throughout the 21st century. In fact, over the 900 years before the Industrial Revolution began, the average world temperature was in decline and the 1990s was the warmest decade on record.
