In All Summer In A Day Ray bradbury uses symbolism and metaphors to describe what is happening in the short story. So an example is when he used a metaphor to describe how the sun had looked. Another example was when Bradbury used symbolism to describe the sun and how it impacted the kids. One example of a metaphor that Bradbury used was ¨Sun is like a lemon¨ and so I be going into detail on how he used symbolism and metaphors, throughout the book to show what happening. So an example of a metaphor that Ray Bradbury used was the example I used in the topic sentence. ¨Sun is like a lemon¨ and in my opinion I think that means how the shape of a sun is round, and there both yellow and how they are both bright. So another example was of a metaphor that Ray Bradbury put in his short story was. ¨The sun is like a flower that just blooms for two hours¨. What I think Ray Bradbury means by that is how they both resemble a flower because how colorful, shiny and beautiful it is. The third metaphor that Ray Bradbury had used was ¨The water came down in a gush of water¨. I think Bradbury had used this metaphor because of the water that was coming down.
