In the earlier years of the 1900s many historical events took place such as World War I , the Great Depression, World War II and many others were a groundbreaking part of history that affected many lives. The main event I will be talking about throughout my report is World War II. It first began on September 1, 1939 and ended six years later, in 1945 around the same exact time. The event was set off from the previous one, World War I. The instability that occurred in Europe in 1914 set the point of another international War. Two decades later Hitler and his National Socialists rose to power, signing treaties with Italy and Japan to attempt to further their domination. Although he was young during World War II he still remembered parts of his childhood when the war was taking place. One thing he said he really remembered about it was that most of his and his brothers toys consisted of army trucks, tanks, toy guns and soldiers. He said their coloring books were all war and that they always wore out their green crayons first. They would always run outside to see the airplanes fly over. He said they would always fly over in squadrons, which are an operational unit in an air force consisting of two or more flights of aircraft.
