Harry Potter : The Wizard

My character was Percy Jackson and he developed by getting stronger and tougher. Percy was in his Mom’s car with Annabeth and Thalia. They were going to a school named Westover Hall it was a military school. It was because Grover, Percy's best friend called and he was in trouble so he called Percy. Grover was there because he had a task of getting new demigods for the camp. Percy went there with his friend and they found some teachers and the teachers were asking them questions and were suspicious. So Thalia used a spell so they can blend in.

Harry Potter is a fictional character invented by J.K Rowling in the series of seven books starting with Harry Potter and the Philosopher 's Stone and ending with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Wikipedia, 2015). Harry is the main character in this series whose parents died when he was young and he was brought up by his aunt and uncle (Philosopher’s Stone, 1997, p.5). Harry was neglected by his aunt and uncle (Philosopher’s Stone, 1997, p.27). Harry is presented a whole new reality when he goes to the zoo one day and his integration into the magical world changes him from the foundation. These changes within him will be analysed using the developmental psychology theories of Lawrence Kohlberg and Erik Erikson to explain how the environment aided or obstructed Harry’s development.

The Harry Potter series is the best book series ever. On top you see wizards, wand, and other cool magical things every human wants to be able to do. But deep down Harry Potter is full of literary elements including an epic quest for the three main characters, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, and Harry Potter. Harry Potter’s overall quest throughout the books is to track down the evil wizard, Voldemort. He must also learn about why he is so famous. His best friend, Ron Weasley, is poor boy with 7 siblings. Ron’s quest is to become more brave and be the leader. Hermione Granger, Harry’s other best friends, her quest is all about knowledge and to do what’s right.

     The title of my book is Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. It is written by J.K. Rowling. I really liked this book. This book is a fiction book. That of course means it’s not true.

A final story that represents self identity and learning through experiences is the book Things Not Seen. Have you ever wished for the super power to turn invisible? Well, in the story Things Not Seen, Bobby does not have a choice. One day he wakes up invisible. Bobby was a normal boy, and all of a sudden he is gone. “I look in the mirror a second time, and then rub at the mirror again. I’m not there.”

Being called a monster. Being seemed as a troublemaker. Being alienated by his friends. Being betrayed and hunted by his homies. Violence, hatred, revenge. There are so much things that a sixteen-year-old boy could bear without turning into a gangbanger who always gets in trouble at school for fighting with others and doesn’t care about the consequences. That's Martin Luna: the protagonist of The Fallen that is written by Paul Langan.After his little brother, Heuro, was killed in a gun violence as a resulted in Frankie confliction with other gang, Martin Luna seeks for revenge. It seems like nothing can stops Martin, only until he realizes that revenge is not good solution for hatred, which is also a theme that the Paul Langan shows in the novel The Fallen by using protagonist: Martin Luna.

My book report is on the book 'Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone' by J.K.

The character I am writing about is Fone Bone in the book BONES by Jeff Smith. Many important events that happen in this book including when Fone bone lost his cousins in the beginning, he has to babysit mrs. possums kids without given a choice, and he struggles to cut firewood. These seem like relevant events but they have a deep importance to this book as i go into depth in this essay. Fone Bone faces many more challenges in BONES, throughout he learns a great deal about himself. When fone bone lost his cousins he was tremendously lonely and he struggled to survive on his own until he makes friends with ted and others throughout the book.

Knoxville, Tennessee is known for many things, especially known as a college town. Little did anyone know that on March 26, 1968 a superstar would be born, and the star would not be known for throwing, running, or catching footballs but singing (“Kenny Chesney.”)? The country genre did not know it for a while, but it had a person that was going to bring country music to new heights. With a mix of some traditional country music mix with some rock country and island country music it would make Kenny Chesney a very successful country artist.

The concept of death is one of great significance in Markus Zusak’s The Book Thief and in J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Both works include a strong focus on death and the consequences that arise from it. While the two authors approach the same conclusions surrounding death, some of the techniques they use to go about it differ. Zusak and Rowling both personify death as a character in their respective stories. The Book Thief focuses on Death and how its personification can make it seem less frightening and more like a character with deep humanity. Death is presented as a fact of life that everyone should accept. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows does much the same but instead does so by constantly referring to death as a concept which should be understood and accepted, rather than by transforming it into a living entity. However, despite the differences, both books concentrate on the significance of death in the lives of both the characters and the readers of the story. Zusak and Rowling both transform the abstract concept of death into a being that is less abstract and, as a result, more real. In doing this, they create a connection and a sense of familiarity and acceptance between death, the characters, and the readers.

I have never been as comfortable with people made of flesh and bone than I have been with those made of words. Whatever information I lose in the contours of the human face, I have no trouble locating in the unchanging, permanent text of a book. There is something about literature that felt safe to me; the worlds created within far more welcoming to little girls with problems fitting in than the one outside the pages. For this reason, fiction, from Harry Potter to The Book Thief, has remained my greatest passion ever since I learned to read.

In Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K. Rowling, there is a lot of evidence supporting the fact that Harry Potter often does things that are risky or could get him in trouble. However, they tend to work out for him in the end because he has help and resources.

Harry is living his most ordinary life in the regular world and suddenly the call to adventure approached him when Harry begins to receive mysterious letters. Refusal of the call comes next and after that the meeting of the mentor. Secondly, the crossing of the threshold is used when Harry joins the wizarding world. Tests, Allies and enemies when he arrives at Hogwarts, school of witchcraft and wizardry. Approach when the trio prepare themselves to face Voldemort. Ordeal death and rebirth, reward and seizing the sword. Lastly. The road back when Harry, Ron and Hermione try and face Voldemort. Resurrection and the return of the elixir.

The movie adaptation of J.K Rowling’s Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is a very pivotal movie in the series. Like the book, this movie is crucial in setting up an understanding for the rest of the series. Therefore it is important that the movie complements the novel as much as possible. Using one of the most essential features of a movie; visual imagery, the movie adaptation of the fourth novel is a good accompaniment for the novel. The visual imagery in this movie emphasizes emotions and reactions that we cannot possibly obtain from the book. For example, the death of Cedric Diggory at the end of the movie strikes a powerful emotional response as a result of his father, Amos Diggory’s grief. Seeing him cry makes the audience more
