Graduation Speech : Graduating High School

Transitioning from middle school to high school now college. Hardships and victories I have experienced it all. I have gone from the shy student to one of the most involved and active student in my school.

Graduating high school was fairly easy for me. I was blessed with being smart academically and a quick learner as well. As I started college, I began to realize courses get much harder and very time consuming. That is why I try to put in extra free time towards studying and researching things that I do not have good understanding in. I am very determined

My life after high school is going to require a lot of responsibility and patience, but I know that it will be worth it to my education, and I can show my brothers and family, that if you want it bad enough, you will do everything you can to achieve

Looking at life before graduating high school is scary. It seems like yesterday I was crying because my mom was about to leave me for my first day of preschool. I am about to begin and figure out what life has ahead for me and what my point is in life. To me that's scary. I am excited to see what my point in life is, but at the same time nervous.

I graduated in grade 8. Graduating plays a big role in my journey. This is a new chapter where I start. I went to st.paul for 6 years. This is the last time I see most of my friends. Graduating has honestly changed me as a person and my journey it has made me find new friends and go through new experiences. This is a positive and low feeling because I get the sadness that this is my last time going to elementary school and seeing some of my friends but this a happy moment since I'm finally going into my teenager

Waking up that morning May 21 2015 with a big smile on my face saying today I made it! Senior year was kind of a struggle for me trying to make top 10% of my class, work 2 jobs and attend extracurricular activities and groups such as ROTC French club ,Spanish etc. and manage a social life .It was a lot on my shoulders being that I goofed off my other years. Each day that year I would wake up and motivate myself to keep pushing and pushing to I reach my goal .There was nothing stopping me I mean nothing at all people would talk saying things like “oh he’s not going to pass you”. Friends would doubt me but that just pushed me to grind even harder .yeah I’m not gone lie there was many days I wanted to fall back into my old ways and skip

When I reached senior year, things began to really improve from there, since I was no longer the girl that everyone automatically assumed to be a freshman. I was able to attend my classes to greet some of the faces that I already knew, and take on my last year knowing that it would all be over soon. By then my school spirit had began to sound audible, but it didn 't overshadow how I felt about the nearly approaching day of graduation.

After a couple of months of online courses and hard work. I was all caught up with the seniors. The end of the school year was close and it was the moment I was waiting for. When I was walking that stage all my teachers, friends, and even some of my family was surprised. My family knew that I was graduating one day ahead only because I gave them the tickets to show up.

Throughout high school, I have had some bumps in the road, but after I made it through these setbacks I grew from their challenges. Which also made me realize how important education really is, and how education must be taken seriously. High School also really has made me realize how much my education really means to me. During my senior year, I have challenged myself more and more by taking more classes that will benefit my college experiences and future. I am taking two more math classes, along with an extra science class.

I 'll always remember the day I sat in class and got the "A" honor roll seal of improvement with my name on it, my perspective on life all of a sudden changed to where I need to put forth a concentrated effort better. I understood that while others could move along and sufficiently do to get by, that was not what I expected to do. Disappointment was impossible for me, I set objectives that I wouldn 't make due with nothing not as much as achievement in my school work, and heading off to college would have been the be the way I achieve my objective.

My school promotion was very exciting and a moment of pure joy. I remember all my family from Colorado coming to California to watch me enter into high school and to see my sister graduate high school the next day. Graduating high school is supposed to be the time in your life when you start to get everything together. I’d like to think that I’ve had enough examples in my life to learn from. But, in my experience, the longer you live, the more troubles you have to face and deal with. One of my very first experiences that has impacted my life and still does was my parents divorce. Now a days getting divorced is quite common and many children experience it, but everyone doesn’t experience it the same way. It was September 1, 2010 when the divorced was finalized. This was a very hard thing I had to cope with as well as my brother. It was quite scary actually. I was so used to my parents together and them being apart was a drastic change to my life. During my first year, I have learned that there are many positive aspects of high school. I have 6 minutes to go to my classes, and some days I get to do whatever my heart desires. I was able to join class council, and find that I desire to be class president one day. High school has helped me get out of my comfort zone, and realize that I can be a very good leader. I have learned that I want to pursue a medical career, and help others later in my life. High school has helped me to realize who I am, and who I want to be.

To begin with, my personal experience was basically finding out I would not be graduating high school. For me that was the worst news I could have ever received my senior year. I knew I had everything else completed while I was working on passing the test every student in Florida hates, the FCAT. I know this test has held a lot hard working students back from accomplishing their dreams and I would have never thought I would be one of those students.

Every job application I filled out required a high school diploma and I couldn't even tell them I was in school. That's when I realized I needed to get myself together before I become somebody I didn't want to be. Once I woke up and realize how the world is I immediately started getting my life back together. I learned that i needed to take things serious because it's not a joke, I learned that my next group of friends needs to be the right group of friends, I learned that life will be way much harder without a high school
