Global warming -- and climate change -- have long-term and short-term impacts on our environment. Caused by air pollutants such as carbon dioxide and methane, global warming is the gradual increase of air temperature across the globe. The rise in air temperatures can lead to higher extinction rates, increased risk of disease and political repercussions, such as wars over available resources. Understanding the possible short-term and long-term effects can help humans better prepare for the consequences of global warming.

A major product that we burn has become fossil fuel which becomes carbon dioxide that is released into the atmosphere. Such fossil fuels have been linked to Global Warming which refers to an increase in temperature through the atmosphere changing climate patters all over the world. The climate is also affected by ocean circulation, earth’s orbit around the sun, participation, and wind etc… Scientists predict that in the future polar temperatures will rise causing polar ice caps and will rise even higher in others parts of the world.

Global warming is one of the biggest threats to our planet. The temperature of our planet is increasing because of all the pollution and human activities that causes the climate temperature to change. The most to concede is the increase of seawater level. The clear majority of the coastal cities will be in danger and a few nations may vanish. The increase in temperature will soon melt the ice in the North and South pole. The worldwide increase in temperature is getting worse. The risk of global warming has raised concerns as it is ceaselessly causing harm to the earth in the form of heat waves. Studies have shown that last year’s average global surface temperature, complied from measurements made by thousands of weather stations, buoys, and ships, was 1.69 degrees Fahrenheit warmer than the 20th century average (NOAA). It is because of us that we are causing this planet to have global warming. Carbon dioxide is what warms our planet, we have increased the amount of the air by nearly half, mostly since the 1960s (NOAA). Global warming is as of now having significant and exorbitant impact and these results will just intensify as the planet's temperature keeps on rising.

Global climate has been drastically changing over the past decade reflecting a wide range of impacts that affect not only the environment, but humans as well. Over the last 50 years the magnitude of global warming has been increasing mainly due to human activities. Since the industrial revolution in the 1800s economic growth has been driven by the progress of manufacturing processes, these have significantly contributed to global warming. It is in this period of time when the global concentration of greenhouse gas levels in the atmosphere had a significant increment from 280 parts per million (ppm) in the 1800s to the modern levels of 400 ppm in 2016. (CITE acs.org).Greenhouse gases are the most significant drivers of climate change due to their persistent effects over a long period of time that can therefore negatively affect the present and future generations.

Global warming refers to the steady increase in the temperature of the earth and its oceans. Global warming is as a result of both natural factors and human activities. Research indicates that there is a correlation between the rising temperatures and the increase in the levels of gases such as carbon dioxide, methane, and chlorofluorocarbons in the earth’s atmosphere (Cooper, M.). The levels of these gases continue to increase due to human activity. This increase results in the Greenhouse effect. The Greenhouse effect significantly contributes to global warming. The effects of global warming include changing weather patterns, higher temperatures within the earth’s atmosphere, melting of glaciers and rising ocean levels. These consequences pose a threat to human lives as well as continuity of ecosystems. Global warming is effecting in people’s health especially the children, that’s why the scientists are trying to reduce the global warming. However, the factories are the biggest cause of global warming. These days, I see that a lot of people still do not believe that global warming exist, so they do not care about the environment and that’s a big problem that may lead to the end of the world.

Global warming is an ongoing issue throughout the world that has been talked about for years now. Many people, like us, talk about the consequences of it and how we believe that it is a problem yet no one does anything to prevent it. In February of 2016 it was confirmed that February was the hottest month recorded in at least the past one-thousand years. Global warming is starting to become a real issue that we have to start dealing with so that our future generations do not have to suffer from these future consequences and it has to start with us. High-level temperatures are not the only consequence that global warming brings to us. Global warming also causes ice glaciers to melt at a more rapid pace, causing sea levels to rise faster than expected, our oxygen is starting to become heavily polluted. If global warming continues at the pace it is at experts predict large amounts of ice to melt causing the sea-level to rise causing land to go downward.

Global warming is the gradual rise of the earth’s surface temperature, caused by many natural and manmade processes that continue to affect our environment. The release of carbon dioxide and methane gases are the two main contributors for the changes in the global climate patterns. Climate change causes the sea level rise, shrinking ice sheets, declining arctic sea ice, glacial retreat, extreme weather events, ocean acidification, decreased snow cover. Because of these, the food chain is affected and the population of the species are decreasing. So, global warming is one of the most serious issues that the world is facing today.

Since water vapor itself is an ozone damaging substance, this causes significant additional warming. Then, the warming causes more water vapor to be vanished. Different petroleum gases, for instance, C02, Sulfur, CFCs, and Methane also hurt the Earth. Industrialization, urbanization, and deforestation additionally expand and add on to the cause of global warming.

Because of overpopulation, scientists have had to increase the production of food and materials. These processes have affected the environment and caused global warming. Global warming is when the overall temperature of earth’s atmosphere increases slowly, typically because of the greenhouse effect caused by the rising level of carbon dioxide gases in the air and other pollutants. Some examples of carbon dioxide gases are fossil fuels like coal, oil, and gas. Global warming has a negative effect on the environment because there are many environmental changes, vegetation’s growth is debilitated, animals are highly affected or becoming extinct, and humans health is in danger.

The Association of Climate Endangered Countries (ACEC) represents countries all over the world whose populations have or will be drastically impacted by climate change. With sea levels rising about a millimeter per year multiple countries and millions of people are in danger, not only due to being submerged but also major flooding, storms, and erosion. For some coastal cities new drains and rising roads may be a short term solution, however for island the battle may already be lost.
