In the novel Lord of the Flies, what is the beast? Well the beast first represents fear, then war, then savagery of human nature. The beast leads to arguments, fear, and savagery. The beast should not have been in the thoughts of the boys. If only the boys had their parents there with them. The boys are alone without their parents. They are young boys. When they were with their parents their parents would comfort them when they are scared. Now that they don’t have their parents their fears are trapped inside of them. They have no way of expressing their fears. Therefore the fears of these boys are bottled up inside. They probably don’t feel comfortable expressing their fears with the other boys. (doc.
