In Frankenstein, Victor Frankenstein should be depicted as the real monster for attempting to recreate God’s creation. Instead, it is his creation who has to pay the price for Victor’s wrong doings. The creation exclaims to Victor’s dead body, “If thou wert yet alive, and yet cherished a desire of revenge against me, it would be better satiated in my life than in my destruction”(161). If Victor continued to live and seek revenge upon the creation, he would be able to live as long as he would get to watch Victor continue to suffer. He ended up creating a monster to which he failed to give love and support it expected. The monster was lonely and sad which led him to seek revenge from Victor and eventually be the reason of his death.
