First off, I want to start off by saying how thankful I am to have the opportunity to win a dining scholarship. I believe I should be awarded this dining scholarship because I am a single unemployed mother, who would be truly grateful for the extra financial assistance. This would definitely assist with maximizing my success at UCF and not to mention, it will minimize my financial burden. I completed ten years in the U.S. Navy, four of which was active duty. I then decided to go to college to pursue my dream of becoming a dental hygienist. After realizing how hard it was to find a full-time job upon completion of the program, I decided to return to school to become a dentist. I would love to still work as a dental hygienist while in school,
I know that going to Oregon Institute of Technology will open many opportunities for me and will lead me to achieving my goals. It’s not only the best choice for me educationally wise but it's a place that I can see myself calling a home. I have confidence that this school has what I need to help me become a successful dental hygienist. The Oregon Institute of Technology Dental Hygiene program is one of the best in the state and I know it'll make me into a great dental hygienist one day. Not only that but the campus is beautiful and I can see myself being happy there. I know I will meet great new people and it'll give me the best college experience I can get. I'll admit that at first Oregon institute of Technology was not a school I had really
I believe I should be awarded this scholarship because I have great leadership and many other great characteristics. I helped raise awareness of obesity in our county to help in getting our percentage back down. I mentored younger children that came from low-wage families on why it was so important to eat right and get an adequate amount of activities, as well as rest each and every day. I did this by using the "GO, SLOW, WHOA" program to make it easier for kids to understand what foods are "go" foods which you can eat as much as you want, which foods are "slow" foods which are foods you should only eat every now and then, and which food is "whoa" foods which you should try to avoid this foods when ever possible. After we presented our presentation
Skills, interests, values, and passions that my group has identified as important for the health care professional are respect for the patient/doctor relationship, listen to the patient, do your job with quality. Respect for the patient relationship is extremely important because when if you violate the patient's privacy is a HIPPA. When HIPPA is violated you are charged a fine and go to jail for up to 10 years. The patient is the most important person when you treated them, so listening will get their problem fixed.Being in the medical field is a privilege and not a right so it is vital to be the best you can be and try to excel at everything you do.
This nomination for the scholarships means so much to me. It brings great hope. It tells me all my hard work has offered me a once in a lifetime chance to achieve a higher level of education. As a child from a single parent household I admire my mom’s hard work and commitment to her family. She has worked to maintain our household; supporting three daughters with a one-person income but was unable to achieve a savings for my future education. Receiving this scholarship means I would be able to go to school fully funded and gain an invaluable number of experiences and lessons that will enhance my character for a lifetime.
I would be a great candidate because I currently obtain a steady grade point average above a 4.0. I have many talents and I would be a great scholar. I would like to study the subject of science. In this subject more profoundly I would like to become an orthodontist. I would like to study this course because I feel it is the most interesting out of all other subjects. From the time I was in elementary school to now, which is ninth grade, I have always been a bright student.
One of my short term goals is to attend Howard University and obtain my bachelors degree in Biology. Upon completion of my bachelors I would like to attend John Hopkins school of medicine and become an Anesthesiologist. One of the main reason I have selected these schools because they are known for breeding leaders and providing students with the skills they need to be successful. I have worked really hard at maintaining a respectable G.P.A., and proving that I am worthy of becoming a student at both universities based on my academics and leadership skills.
I decided after high school I would attend a local community college to become a Dental Hygienist.
Being granted help from the scholarship committee would be an honor. In my eyes, I’ve done many things to deserve it. For the past six years, I’ve been taught responsibility and what it meant. I know in order to have things that I need, that I have to work and that’s why I work 40
Intelligence… this is the ability to acquire and apply knowledge and skills. This means our brainpower, intellect, understanding, comprehension, etc. I am a student who cares about things like this. I want to go to school to learn, not to talk or disrupt class but to learn and focus because I am planned for the future. I want to be a Gastroenterologist when I grow up. I’m going to do what it takes to be one. I will need to go to high school, college, and medical school and I will go there. I want to learn, I’m ready for a challenge, and I strive for success. These are some of the reasons why I feel like I make an ideal candidate for the IB Program.
I am writing this letter in regards to the KFC and the Anne Naughton Memorial Scholarship. By writing this letter, I am hoping that it will greaten my chances of being a recipient of this scholarship. With that being said, I will explain why I believe I should receive this scholarship.
I believe that I deserve this scholarship because I have always made it a point to put forth my very best effort in everything I do. In addition, I have enriched my education through participation in various extracurricular activities.
I believe that I should be selected to receive this incredible scholarship award because I am a natural leader and an ambitious individual who possesses an astonishing amount of perseverance. My ambitious nature has allowed me to excel both academically and personally. In high school, I took initiative over my education by enrolling in the most difficult classes available. However, I have taken an even greater initiative by graduating from high school an entire year early. By doubling up on courses and taking classes outside of the regular school day, my dream of graduating early has become my reality. I attribute this exceptional achievement to my strong desire to achieve.
Compassion is the highest of all virtues. I believe that compassion or kindness is one of the most vital human characteristics. However, it is one thing that people overlook far too much. Compassion is the place within each of us that makes it possible to see suffering that is not are own, but that affects us as if it were. At a young age, I would always try my best to make a positive influence in people's lives. It started with animals, then it led to tutoring children who are less fortunate to afford a tutor, and then led to help raise money for children with leukemia. When I was four years old I would always take care of the stray dogs and animals in my neighborhood in Haiti by giving
This scholarship has offered me a tremendous amount of assistance over the past year. The death of my father was not easy on my family. Not only did I lose my father, I lost the backbone to my family who was financially caring for my family. To lessen the burden on my mother, I was able to use some of the funds from the scholarship to tackle some financial complications during the year. As this scholarship assists with the financial portion of my college career, I was able to focus on my education and
The first reason why I would like to pursue a healthcare career is that I want to contribute to the greater good of the community by helping those in need. It is a noble profession that really matters. I learned early on that helping others just a little bit could make a big difference.
