In the late 1800s, Gregor Mendel would publish his experiments on pea plant hybridization and heredity in his community’s journal. Although his work would take years to gain recognition, in 1900 “three scientists in three different countries grasped the implications of his paper and cited it in their own.” If Mendel had not published his work because of financial desires, basic questions about heredity may still exist. However, the open platform that the Human Genome Project and Mendel used exponentially benefits science as hundreds of thousands of scientists across the globe have complete access to information that may be the missing link in a revolutionary discovery for mankind.

     Another problem comes up when you talk about fossils. If the world is millions and billions of years old, there would be fossils at lots of different archeological levels. Archeologists have found that most fossils are found at the same level, which would mean that some huge natural disaster happened and killed millions of animals at one time. The Bible mentions of a great flood that wiped out millions of animals and humans. This again proves evolution wrong.

In the world today, scientists are having an argument between creation and evolution. Which one is more trustworthy and accurate? The answer is both. From the beginning, the earth’s creatures evolved from their common ancestors because of natural selection and different types of isolations. But in creation, the Holy Bible says God created different types of creatures, also giving them adaptation skills so that competition between organisms will occur, the fittest will survive, and bring their traits on to the next generation.

Through supporting facts and statements the theory of evolution will be defended as being more than just a theory, and proven as fact.
