Since my journey here at Bryant began in September, I have changed so much. Coming here, I expected certain things such as my study habits, daily routine and friend group to be altered. Philosophers split ethical theories into three groups, meta-ethics, normative ethics and applied ethics. Meta-ethics is the nature of moral judgement and the meaning of ethical principles. Normative ethics deals with the content of moral judgement and the rules for what is right and wrong. Applied ethics deals with controversial subjects like animal rights, war and capital punishment.

In other words, ethics is the choice people effect in regards to a decision they need to achieve. Without ethics directing the choice an individual makes, moral preferences of what should or should not be done becomes irrelevant. While ethical decisions are made every day there are two different regions in which these choices are made.
