Introduction The basic definition of psychology is the study of human minds and there function, with respect to the affects the human mind has on behavior. The field of psychology is one of the most diverse fields that continue to expand and branch out into a plethora of distinguishing subfields; some subfields include retail marketing, legal work, social work and education (Sternberg, 2007). When deciding what career path to select one has to consider the level of education and scholarship they are willing to pursue. Pursuing and completing an undergraduate degree will earn an individual the title of a reflective scholar. A reflective scholar is a graduate that has completed a Bachelors or Bachelorette degree. Next, is the practitioner-scholar, which, is an individual that has graduated with a Masters degree. Following the practitioner-scholar is the scholar-practitioner, who is a graduate that has complete a program at a Doctoral level (McClintock, 2003). Becoming a supervisor will allow me a behinds-the-scenes look at the paperwork and practices used to determine an individual’s assistance plan. Learning the role of a supervisor will add to the knowledge needed to build my own organization. It will also provide me the opportunity to learn more about the processes and assessments of interviewing clients and families before admitting them. I will also be able to analyze the data used during therapy sessions to create assistances plans that are tailored to the needs of the individuals. These plans are also progress reports that are submitted to the state to help researchers gage what techniques are working and how they can be
The Norton Field Guide to Writing covers topics about writing and composing. Several of which I was already familiar with. In chapter 2, Bullock and Weinberg express how “Many readers find it helps to annotate as they read…” (16). I have become very familiar with annotating over the years. I often use this writing method to help me understand and summarize text I come across.

Scholar-Practitioner versus Practitioner-Scholar—both carry slight, yet meaningful connotations that inform both short term and long-term visions and goals within the field of psychology. According to McClintock (2004) and Capella University (2003) research and theory are essential to both; however, the extent to which varies. Studying the intricate difference between these two models can only enhance a graduate program.

Experience is sometimes regarded as the best teacher. Many things can be learned in a classroom and by formal academic study, but many cannot. Reflective practice is a form approach to learning through experience. Reflective practice is a lifelong learning process to promote continual development of the nurse. Reflective writing practice helps the nurse to gain knowledge and to challenge their own ideas and concepts. The idea of reflective practice is not only to see what happened, but to see the situation through new eyes, eyes that can help in personal growth and to develop ways to respond differently in the future.
When first brainstorming what topic I was going to pick for each annotated bibliography, it took me a while before I settled on a topic for each essay. While reflecting on my writing process, I came to the conclusion that more time would have definitely benefited my argument for each of these annotated bibliographies.
The continuum reflects the view that as psychologist we all hold the doctrine of studying the mind, its affects on behavior and ways through research and practice, we can improve humankind (Wasserman and Kram, 2009). Reflecting on the models, I realized neither describes where I am now. I currently view myself as a learner, a student with goals of becoming a successful practitioner-scholar. My success as a practitioner-scholar lies in acquiring knowledge of the history of psychology, becoming an analytical researcher and applying these skills to produce invaluable forms of communication. In order to become a successful practitioner-scholar, acquiring knowledge of the history of psychology is quintessential in my long-term plans to becoming a practitioner-scholar. The history of psychology in America and its role in the education setting and community at large dates back to after World War II (Peterson 2006). Intellectually gifted scientists who were brilliant researchers became the scholars of psychology. As scholars, they taught from a scientist, research perceptive. Therefore, when psychologists begin to leave the academic setting of universities and enter professional careers, they did so as science or scholar practitioners (Peterson 2006). This essay is a reflective essay on my learning development from a young age through to my current position as a University Student. I will be relating my learning development back to two theories of human development, Vygotstsky’s socio-cultural theory and Marcia’s version of Erikson’s theory of identity development. I will identify and discuss the challenge I have faced with my identity and how this has impacted on my development.
Vital signs are a fundamental component of nursing care and indicate the body’s ability to maintain blood flow, regulate temperature and regulate oxygenate the body tissue. Taking vital signs are essential in revealing any sudden changes in the body, which could potentially indicate clinical deterioration of the patient.
I received an acceptance from a US MD school during the 2013-2014 cycle. However, as an international student, I was required to deposit all four years’ worth of tuition in an escrow account prior to matriculation, which I was unable to do. While I was aware of the escrow requirement prior to application, I was on track to obtain permanent residency during the application year per my immigration attorney, which would excuse me from this requirement. However, given the uncertain nature of the residency process, this did not, and is yet to, happen. My family and I had recently immigrated from India, and coming up with the escrow amount was impossible at that time. Loans were also only available on a yearly cadence, not for all four years at once.

A load of research has been done on learning and reflective practice and its effectiveness on the practitioners and one of the first people to research reflective Practice was Donald Schon in his book “The Reflective Practitioner” in 1983. Schon was an influential writer on reflection and had two main ways of identifying reflection and they were reflection in action and reflection on action.
This reflective report is going to demonstrate an outline of our group dynamics leading up to and during the presentation. The purpose of this is to learn from the experience so that any other future group presentations will be improved. I will also give my opinion to what I have learnt in regards to presenting and overall my ability to work in a team.
