My foremost ambition after becoming an Eagle Scout is to become a Doctor after graduating from Medical School. For me setting goals, are the steps to achieving my ambition. Without goals I would not progress on, which would prevent me from reaching my Ambition. Being an Eagle Scout has been a goal for me since I joined Cub Scouts in DATE. The Eagle Scout rank is a goal that, once completed will help me get into Medical School. Being an Eagle Scout will help me get into the medical school by showing my hard work and determination to succeed and help others. Most Medical Schools accepts less than 3% of the submitted applications. Medical Schools look for students who not only get perfect grades, but are also good communicators and …show more content…
By playing lacrosse, I will show both determination and dedication. Lacrosse will also help me get into a better physical condition. Lacrosse will help keep me healthy and active making me a more well rounded person. Making Varsity Lacrosse will show that I can balance both education and extracurricular activities. Thus, in addition to becoming an Eagle Scout, If I can achieve all of my goals, it will bring me closer to achieving my ambition of becoming a Doctor. Most importantly, in addition to achieving my personal goals, the major goal in my life is to become an active functioning member in society. As a doctor I will give back to the community by volunteering to host blood drives or going to third world countries to deliver vaccines to the poor. However, on top of being a doctor I hope to give back to the community through my Eagle project and other service projects I have worked on. I am proud to go to Boy Scout meetings and help the younger Scouts achieve their goals of ranking up. With Boy Scouts I have had multiple opportunities to give back to the community. I remember on during this past winter during the Christmas Tree fundraiser we helped an older lady who could not lift her tree outside of her living room. With the help of a few other scouts we took off several ornaments, left on the tree, and carried the tree down to the curb. I am looking forward to continuing these experiences with Scouts, after I achieve the Eagle Rank. To
I remember seeing my pinewood derby car going down the track; it was silver, blue letters on it that said sonic and black wheels that sounded like a hot wheels car going down a track. I was only 6 years old when that happened. Now I stand in front of the board representing Boy Scouts of America, ¨Congratulations, you are officially an Eagle Scout.¨ It hits me all the sudden like a wave hitting a sea wall, an 11 year journey just ended and it’s time to see the outcome.
I was a member of the Boy Scouts of America throughout my childhood all the way up through my high school years. During my junior year I organized and carried out my Eagle Scout service project: building a volleyball court for the church at which the troop held its meetings. This was one of the last things I had to complete before I obtained the highest honor in Scouting: the rank of Eagle Scout. It was what I had been working towards for many years. I spent countless hours planning, stockpiling, and recruiting for my project, and many more hours on the construction and final touches. I presented what I thought was the finished product, only to have one of the Scout leaders ask for more. In my eyes, I was done, but I was told that I couldn’t get my project signed off if I didn’t deal with another construction company and commit to extra hours of renovations.
From a young age, I have been fascinated by making things and learning how they work. My educational experience and community service projects have given me an appreciation for engineering from project managing and constructing my Eagle Scout project to enjoying my chemistry and physic classes. I plan on obtaining a degree in Engineering because I enjoy taking something from conception to production and I am interested in the science and math behind
I hope everyone had an amazing Troop “Boot-Camp” and Leadership weekend. I want to thank all the adults that were able to oversee and guide. Now moving away from this weekend, I am here to primarily talk about my Eagle Scout project.
First off Congrats on the promotion to a very distinguished rank, part of the elite officers of the Armed Forces. I know it is well deserved. I appreciate the opportunity I was bestowed to meet you and also having my spouse be a part of your leadership team. I wish the best for you and your family as you pursue the next leg of your military
Lacrosse can keep players healthy because of the cardio aspect of it and will help players stay in shape by playing it. Lacrosse also teaches commitment and discipline because players must work together with their teammates all over and across the field. Lacrosse is a sport for everyone because in lacrosse the game is not just about physicality, size, or strength, the game is about stick skills, athleticism, speed, the amount of effort you put in to win and more.
After I attain the rank of Eagle Scout, I will continue to strive for more achievements and work towards completing other goals so I can become a model member of society.
Lacrosse may be the single most impactful force in my life. I have come to define myself through my involvement with the sport. I do not consider myself a natural athlete; I have had to work very hard to earn every achievement in lacrosse. For the past six years, I have continued to set my aspirations higher and increase my effort to achieve my goals. I have applied what I have learned from lacrosse to many other aspects of my life: I am now an A level student at one of the most academically rigorous high schools in the country, I am an active participant and in my school’s rock band, acapella group, and jazz band, and I am a committed member of my school’s wrestling team.
When it comes to my passion most don’t understand it the way I do. For the past three years my passion has been lacrosse. Since I was a freshman at Sandalwood High School my interests for the sport have grown and my devotion and commitment have reached new limits. Most people don’t understand lacrosse, they just know that it is a sport “with sticks and stuff”, and while I don’t take offense to ignorance; sharing my passion with others is never a burden. Lacrosse is one of the biggest parts of my life as of now and I believe it will continue to be for many years to come, but there’s more to the sport than most people know. Lacrosse has a history behind it older than any other sport in America, as well as the fact that as of now,
I believe joining my high school lacrosse team was an influential part of my high school career. Having social anxiety, it was not always easy for me to be around others kids. Joining the team thought me to face my fears and that sometimes it is better to stop thinking and just take that “leap” into whatever you're afraid of. Secondly I learned to push through challenging times even when I wanted to quit. Lacrosse also allowed me to meet people who I would come to look up to, and cause me to want to improve myself for the better.
Since i was very little my life revolved around the sport of football. I played football for a number of years on numerous teams like the HFL Eagles and Hamilton Revolution. When i was growing up the only two sports i played were basketball and football. I had never even heard the word “lacrosse” until it was my brothers sophmore year in highschool and he started playing. At a young age & with me not being in highschool i knew little to nothing about lacrosse except that it took athleticism, it was physical, and fast paced. The the only programs for kids my age were in Robbinsville so i never really looked into it. I knew it was defenitely a sport that peaked my interest from the first time i watched it be played. My brother and i have always
I strive to work with the different gathering of students that LaCrosse has to offer and who likewise share my attitude. They, similar to me, are there in the fact that LaCrosse regards the estimation of assorted variety. I know from individual experience that with a specific end goal to accomplish in,with motivation, and achievement that LaCrosse esteems, new individuals are expected to make a conscious domain for these qualities. I feel that my experience will give a creative point of view in the college's scan for information while helping it to build up a reason for future achievement. Furthermore, that is the best goal I can
Once I obtain a higher education during my college studies, I will be bound with responsibilities. I must use my newfound knowledge to my full potential by applying it to my life and those who are surrounding me. I will pursue my duty to society by giving back to my community and those in need because I am apparent of the struggles in a rural area. I am attending the University of Arkansas and majoring in Biology. Once I complete my courses and graduate I will apply for medical school at UAMS in Little Rock, Arkansas then continue my studies to specialize in oncology.
My goals are to give back into the community. I’m going to strive to make it better. I will focus on good health. I will finish my Degree and find a volunteer place or part- time position in my field. I want what I share to be an echo in their ears, “I can do anything as long as I try” help others to become an over comer, and an inspiration to as many that listen to my story.
My personal goal as a student at the University of Phoenix is to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management within the next two years. This goal is very important to me because of the impact it will have on my family, work and personal life. In my family it will set a positive example for my daughters, grandchildren, and youngest sister. My family has been a source of support throughout my years in college as I have pursued this degree while maintaining a full time job. Obtaining the degree will be an accomplishment not only for me but also for my family who has given me the encouragement to reach my goal. I would like for my grandchildren to remember their grandmother as a strong and educated woman.
