Comparing and contrasting driving in the winter and driving in the summer. They both can be very dangerous weather to drive in. but there are differences between the two and there are similarities. The similarities of driving in the winter and the summer is that they both have inclement weather that can be hard to drive in. That can cause it to be very dangerous on the roads. The differences is that in the summer it is clear blue skies making it easier to see when you are driving. It can also be very difficult to see when the sun is shining the sun can be often very bright. Also sometimes in the summer it’s hard to tell whether the light is yellow green or red due to the sun shining. Also in the summer the heat can cause your tire pressure
It is very difficult to drive in the winter due to poor visibility. On stormy days, the wind blows the snow in the air and on the windshield, making it hard to see clearly. Poor visibility makes driving frustrating and worrisome. Most of the accidents I have witnessed have taken place during winter. As a result of this, I have developed constant fear while driving in the winter. I worry a lot about some vehicle or my own losing control causing an accident. I have developed a phobia to drive during winter.
During summer from clothing to accessories are different from winter. During summer, people wear shorts and t-shirts and in accessories shades and cap, on the contrary in winter thermal wears with jeans and jacket or winter coat and in accessories like a scarf, ear protectors and hand gloves. Moreover, in summers maintaining a garden, and cleaning leafs etc, but in winter everything is hidden in snow so no one worries about the garden. Eating a different type of food is also different in both the season in Michigan because eating light and healthy food is advisable in summer, while in winter heavy and warm food with more nutrition is advisable. In summer driving is a lot easier because the absence of snow on the road, although in winter and driving with snow is difficult and many accidents also do occur due to snow because controlling a vehicle on road with snow is very difficult.
Without a doubt winter and summer are two different seasons and living in the south we have our fair share of extreme weather. Both seasons require a certain type of driving and to do that without problems you need to keep your car in working order. Without a doubt getting from point A to point B can be an issue if you do not understand how to manage your vehicle. During the winter and summer, you should always be careful to keep your tires road ready, your engine and fluids, battery and belts in check and always follow the rules of the road. Because winter and summer road conditions are vastly different there are a few things you need to know. First, during winter there may
Summer is the hottest season of the year and that is when kids starve the most. During the summer season kids go literally all day and night without eating, to where they're used to eating once, maybe twice a day at school. “Families are struggling in a way they haven’t in a long time.”, says Brian Loring.
In life, people seem to judge each other based on not only their looks but what they have. Specifically, when people have things we don’t. Ray Bradbury shows this theme in his short story “All Summer in a Day.” Additionally, the song “All Bad” by Justin Bieber comprises a similar them. Both of these stories reveal a universal theme about not judging people based on what they have that you don’t. In both “All Summer in a Day” and “All Bad” we learn that jealousy can affect the way people act and it can make them cruel. However, although these stories are very similar, the way the themes are portrayed draw out differences.
They promote health and are a great way to have fun. Summer sports can be very excellent for you but can also bring danger and so you should always be careful for overuse injuries which are injuries that cause repetitive damage to tissue, burn outs, and heat strokes that are possible at anytime but mostly in summer time (VanDeWeghe and DiFiori). These sports can include football, fencing, golf, rugby, tennis, swimming, volleyball, handball, grass hockey, sailing, and many more (Olympic.org). In the summer kids are more open to learning and are focused on sports, because they do not have the weight of school on their shoulders (Weiss). Summer sports are one way to categorize the many different types of sports. They are wonderful but also have
The text and the movie are different but also have similarities. First thing i noticed was that text didn't tell us much about the sun lamps but in the video they showed us what it would be like to have to sit under one. In the text it said that everyone hated margot but in the movie she had a couple friends. In both the movie and the text the story was told on Venus. Although the movie and the text were based on the same thing they still had similarities and
Weather is the day-to-day state of the atmosphere in a region. Overall, weather describes short-term conditions that are subject to quick, and sometimes unexpected change. Climate is defined as the weather conditions prevailing in an area over a long period. Unlike weather, climate is not subject to sporadic change. Most meteorologists define climates by looking at the average temperatures and precipitation levels over a long period of time. This brief essay outlines how weather and climate differentiate, while also showing how they relate to and differ from
The mean summer temperatures in the UK are lower than the average for its latitude which is due to the cooling influence from the
The Earth is tilted on an axis with the northern point of our planet tilted at 23.5 degrees toward the sun as we orbit it. The Earth also rotates on this tilted axis, which is how we get our days. The reason that Ohio gets warmer in the summer is because as the Earth rotates the sun (one rotation around the sun equals one year), different sections of the Earth "take turns," as you might say, being "closer" to the sun. As the Earth passes by one side of the sun, the northern hemisphere will be tilted towards the sun in the same way that the northern hemisphere would be tilted away from the sun when the Earth passes by the opposite side. So, it is warmer in the summer because the summer time is when the northern hemisphere is tilted closer to
The summer's were the worst in Miami besides the heat we had to deal with hurricanes for the majority of the summer. Sometime's it was just rainy weather with a little bit of wind. Other time's we dealt with terrible storms that would destroy homes and knock down tree's. Some summer's we would go without power for a
From December to February is summer. From March to May, fall. From June to August, winter. And from September to November is
The Summer months are warmer than the winter months are in Ohio because of the tilt in the Earth's axis. The earth's axis is tilted at about 23.5 degrees because of this tilt during the summer months the sun's rays hit the earth at a more direct angle. Also because of this tilt the days in the summer are longer which helps keep the summer days warm. While in the winter months the sun does not hit the earth at a direct angle, and because the sun is not hitting the earth directly the winter days are shorter which causes the days to be colder.
There is a large difference between summer and winter tires. There is good reasoning to why they are both recommended to be applied at different times. Winter tires are designed with a compound that remains flexible at low temperatures, while summer tires are designed to remain firm with a stickier compound at higher temperatures. All-Season tires are not being accounted for in this report due to them being a compromise between the two. It best performs at a temperature between that of the ideal temperature for winter tires and the ideal temperature for summer tires (refer to Figure 1). What creates this major difference in performance in relation to temperature is the glass transition temperature. This is a term given to the
Summer days are anticipated year round; there are always kids or even parents that are dreading the last school days, and just waiting to go to the beach or sit in the air conditioning and watch a movie. Summer has always been highly anticipated in my life, and not for reasons like most people. In my life, summers do not mean relaxation and going to the beach. Although I am not making a sandcastle in the sand, I get to play in a different kind of soil: dirt. Softball is a game that requires players to get dirty, whether that means sticking the glove in the dirt to field the ground ball or sliding because there is close play at the base. One summer in particular, I didn’t only get dirty on the field, but my whole life got a whole lot messier. The biggest lessons I have learned in my life have not been taught in the classroom, but rather, I have learned new things everyday from my experiences; some of which produce greater lessons than others.
