What are the three directorates of the Department of Homeland Security? Describe the missions of each.
The three Directorates of the Department of Homeland Security are Management, Science and Technology and National Protection and Programs.
The mission of the Management Directorate is to provide “leadership, management, direction and oversight of all the departments’ components,” (Bullock, 2016, p. 132). The Management Directorate consist of additional departments namely, Office of the Secretary and Executive Management (OSEM), Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), and DHS Headquarters Consolidation Project (HQ).
