Respect What does respect mean? To me respect means is to be kind to others. What My dad use to say “be kind to others and they will be kind back to you. This core is important to me because when I was little I was not kind to others I was disrespectful to other because they were disrespect to me so that is what they deserve. One day I was walking to school and a bunch of kids where be mean to me they were calling me names and making fun of my weight because I was big, one day I had enough and they were talking about me and then I started talking about them and then when they talk to me I make fun of them. I started making fun of people when I was in 4th grade because I did not like when they were calling me names and I stopped when I
Everyone wants to be respected. It’s in our nature, but in order to obtain respect, first of all one has to respect oneself. Second, one has to show respect to others in order to gain respect from them. If one doesn’t show respect to someone, that person may often feel blown off and lose respect for you. Respect in my eyes is like a math equation loyalty plus duty equals respect. respect is gained in conducting ones self in a way that others can stand
Respect is one of the most important values to me because they mostly matter in the way that if someone shows no respect for you or others they more than likely have no respect coming to themselves or showing it to others. To be respected, learn to respect others to show growth and maturity. If we don’t learn at an earlier age to respect others, such as our peers, adults, or parents, we would never be
Respect to me is showing someone you think highly of them and well, respect them. Respect is a very important part of my life. Justice, something that is a must and that is to be fair, honest, and most important truthfulness. In the medical field as a Caregiver and School has taught me how important it is to be truthful and be responsible for my actions. At a young age my mother made me realize how important it was to tell the truth, I loved that I could always tell my mother anything and this carried into relationships with friends and my 6 year relationship as well. Sacredness of life, being kind and thinking before I speak. I demonstrate this everyday at work and with anyone I come across, I deeply respect and admire each life and do my best to help the needed through my thoughts, words, and actions. Service, I enjoy volunteering for my community I strongly believe in helping others mostly my community. Thats is why even though my life may be busy, I always make time to sign up for any event I can attend to, to help. I have always been told how compassionate and caring I am for helping and making people smile from helping my papa in the nursing home at age 8 to
What is respect? Is the way people should be treated, how you would want to be treated, and should it come naturally or should it be taught? Respect is what are world is built on, I feel that the phrases like “reap what you sow” explain what respect works like. For example to when I am rude to someone they tend to be rude back, the same works with respect. When being disrespectful to someone you most likely will disrespect you right back. Not everyone follows these thoughts of respect. Actions like these can lead to dangerous places, people begin to break boundaries that were once built on respect.
Respect is something that is earned and it is not earned through the things that you say, but the things that you do. If you are trying to earn someone’s respect I guarantee you that if you just talked to them all of the time they would not like for that. You have to prove it through the things that you do and the ways that you act. This was a big thing back in the west. If a new guy came to town he did not earn respect through all of the people he talked to and the stories that he told, because those were just stories. He had to earn it by what he did. This is where actions really speak louder than words. Respect is also something that everyone in life is looking for, whether they know it or not and sometimes they think they have done everything to deserve it, when really they have not done the most important thing; prove they can follow up and what they say. You have to be able to back up all of the words that come out of your mouth with actions because there is just talking about doing something and then there is
Merriam-Webster’s dictionary defines honor as “an evidence or symbol of distinction” and “a person of superior standing”. However, I believe honor is not just defined by the distinction, but by the way a person with distinction acts.
Sam KozlowskiTeen LeadershipRespect! There are many definitions of the word “respect” according to the Merriam Webster Dictionary. It can be a “relation or reference to a particular thing or situation”, or “high or special regard”,or the quality or state of beingesteemed.” Respect can be a noun or a verb. A synonym for respect can be “civility”. Both words convey showing some one esteem and dignity. It is especially important in the work place or in the class room. !With out respect, the World would cease to function in a civilized manner. For example, author Ralph Waldo Emerson stated that, “Every human being, of what ever origin, of what ever station, deserves respect. We must each respect others even as we respect ourselves.” In addition
A foundational value that best describes who I am and what I am about is respect; not only to others, but for yourself as well. Respect for another person is knowing that there is a line and making sure you do not cross it. I believe this is important because everyone has their limits and it is essential for one to know that they should not cross a certain line under any circumstances. Additionally, respect is important in relationships because it shows equality and that no one is superior to anyone else. Meaning, you are not communicating in a way that makes others believe that you are talking down to them. I believe this is significant because if you want to show someone that you value them, the foundation of that admiration is respect. Moreover,
Respect is the act of being kind and having manners. “People resent not being respected, and a resentful attitude is never conducive to productivity.” (Lipmann, V. (2014, January 15). Why Respect Is Crucial To Management Success. Retrieved April 06, 2016, from http://www.forbes.com/sites/victorlipman/2014/01/15/why-respect-is-crucial-to-management-success/#2ad12be16178). More than likely employer automatically will not hire you or even fire you when you lack much or respect. Being distrustful can invent problems that make it hard to get a job done and build tension between workers and buyers. When performing respect you should provide consideration, approach another with positive attitudes, and demonstrate genuine interest in thoughts or values. In life I’ve learned giving respect will get you a greater insight on your personality. I feel respect is a great character in everyday life. I was raised with respect so my family uses it throughout the home. For example if someone is watching TV the respectful thing to do is step out the room to talk on the phone. By doing this I am providing
As one of my characters counts respect means a lot to me, it hits a big impact on my life cause, that is how my parents taught us, me and my sister, to respect people. Respect for me has to be earned. To me when people walk up to me and treat me with respect, they earned my respect. I treat people with a lot of respect like my parents, my elders, my teachers, my coaches, everyone that has a big impact on my life earned
Respect takes place everywhere we go, the movie theater, school, home, and even restaurants. Respect is an important aspect of our everyday lives. The definition of respect is having a manner of admiration, and or politeness towards the person that you have respect for. Respect is something that holds our entire society together and is visible in many unique ways. Respect holds our society together because no one could go anywhere or do anything because of all of the chaos spreading across their town or city. Therefore, there would be vandalism, no laws, and no filter on what anyone could do. Our nation would fall apart without respect.
Judgmental is one word I am not usually depicted as; however, some behaviors I am impotent to ignore without being disappointed and injudicious toward any of the persons involved. Losing my respect is not an easy task, this is because I am one to put effort into understanding why one behaved certain ways and what their consequences would have been if they did or did not undergo such actions. Nonetheless, there are two habits that I will never be able to regard without losing all homage for the individuals involved: bullying and driving under the influence.
First of all, having respect is a sign of being a man. Respect sometimes has to be earned or bought. An example of respect being earned is when Henry was a teenager and was selling drugs for Paulie. Henry unfortunately got caught and was put on trial. During the trial he didn’t rat out Paulie and his friends. The family, members of the mob, praised him. At this point, he earned the entire mob, especially Paulie’s trust. Without Paulie’s trust there was no way he could have ever got promoted. Henry also felt apart of a real family for the first time. After this incident everything escalated for Henry. Respect also has to be bought when you are a member of the mob. The mob had to buy the police whenever they became suspicious to protect themselves.
\espect to me is to be able to admire someone because of their actions and not for personal reasons. In Latin the word respect means look back at, regard; respect has been used since the 1800 meaning that this word has been around a long time. Respect is a big thing for people, if they feel like they feel disrespected they feel offended by the lack of respect. People who have no respect must be a untruthful person or a bad person because they have no one wants to admire him or her.People have to earn respect through her or his actions and they are not born with it. You can also lose respect and you can also earn it back no matter what you did you can earn it back. Sometimes it takes longer to get respect from some people because they want
Respect is my third conviction for my future English high school class. Not only is it important for my students to respect me as their teacher (and visa versa), but also it is even more important that they respect each other. When a decent amount of respect is given and maintained, my students will gain a sense of comfort in the classroom. In order for a classroom to be a positive learning environment, this comfort zone must be established. Respect is the deep-rooted factor affecting open communication, upstanding relationships, and a positive learning community.
