Introduction Internal environmental scanning refers to a process whereas an organization evaluates their strengths and weaknesses. This information can then be utilized by leaders to design new objectives and strategies or even modify the existing objectives and strategies. Although The Venice Golf and Country Club (VGCC) have unique features which add valuable strength to the business strategy, it is not immune to weakness. Developing a clear and precise vision which is in line with the mission of the organization is very useful in ensuring organization success. A clear vision helps in improving the organization’s image and thus attracting more customers and maintaining the existing members. A clear vision may also be utilized as a promotional tool. In an interview with the VGCC Board President, John Cohoon, he asserted that the club’s vision is “to be the most desirable private country club in Southwest Florida.” This vision has remained unchanged since inception about four years ago. To ensure that it attains its vision and mission, the club developed a Long-Range Plan, which incorporates SWOTS and critical goals of the club. Once any of these issues are identified, the organization should consider new strategies that react to these external factors. Based off of the case provided, the NCRCC main goal is to attract new members to support the renovated facility after AT&T divested itself. Also, given the growing age of its member, NCRCC implemented an aggressive membership campaign back in 1998. The overall goal was to bring forth 680 golf memberships and attract as many social memberships as well. In regards to the board of NCRCC, there are several recommendations that could be made with respect to adding or changing programming activities. The past few months our organization has had the privileges of discover, to report and to recommend a strategic plan for the National Cash Register Country Club (NCRCC) Facility. In addressing the boards concern(s) on what to expect once NCRCC converts to a full-service golf facility. The research conducted by our administration determined the overall satisfaction of all members was seventy-two percent with the highest dissatisfaction of nineteen percent among the older membership 55-64. Also, eighty percent of members who joined for golf were very happy accepted the new change of the golf club to a full-service facility. Including, an eighty-three percent satisfaction rating among current and new members when the casual dining facility bar/lounge, and the 37th Hole was added. Although, the ratings of the casual adult dining section, casual family dining, outdoor dining, formal dining, a men’s grill, women’s grill was below standards. Adding a no smoking section for old, new customers, and comparable lunch, dinner prices to balance the competitions between the closest competitors.
