Cosmetologists have to strive to make clients happy by giving them their wanted look, making sure the client feels like it’s their go to salon. Prices range from $40 per hour to $26,400 a year. The prices will rise depending on what style the customer wants. For better customer service, one would need to work in a clean environment, in a safe neighborhood where clients can come and have a satisfying time. To get the job they will need to be licensed by the state, a high school diploma, and enrolled in a cosmetology school. A student enrolled in these schools can apply for federal and state financial aid. Federal and state grant programs are offered to eligible students and must be 16 years of age. Makeup and nails are other areas of interest for me. I am going to be studying cosmetology to become licensed as an entrepreneur for hair, makeup, and helping to make the lives of others better. I have to have these requirements to go to and graduate from cosmetology school; hair texturizing, hair cutting, hair styling, skin care, nail art, business training, and retail development. Sanitation and safety are a very big part in the training of becoming a cosmetologist in Tennessee. I must have 1500 hours of training before I can take the written or physical exams. After I get my cosmetology license and graduate, I as a cosmetologist should be equipped to do any in the body, hair, and nail treatment. Between four sisters, friends, slumber parties, and formals, I have found my love for beauty and have obtained a large amount of practice.
