Preparing for College after graduating from high school is considered to be as one of the most thought by students. Even so, most students nowadays are uncertain whether attending college will be a good advantage for them. Some believe that it is a waste of time and money, but most people consider it as a reason to thrive in life. Unlike High school, College is certainly different because it determines your future and should be taken more earnestly by the students. College education is a worth of cost because it basically provides students with great benefits, which can be a good help in shaping their future goals.

College is all about experinces and getting to know yourself and learning who you really are. It is hard leaving high school and having to transition to college. College is like a steeping stone to becoming a responsible adult because for the first time most people are practically on their own. It is completely different from high school in that not only that school has to be dealt with, but you have to juggle your personal time and financial state as well. They go away to college and face circumstances that they would most likely come across when they finally do go on their own. Bills have to be paid, time has to be managed efficiently, and deadlines have to be met, just like in the "real world."

Many students are so overjoyed to fly the coop and go off to college that they have a hard time remembering that all education, not only college can be very challenging  therefore  “let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up”(Galatians 6:9) . Going to college allows for many opportunities to open up in life. Society is changing at a very rapid rate. Graduation is such an exciting time; however, there is a lot of preparation that goes into graduating from college. One has to decide exactly what career he or she would like to pursue in his or her field of study and expertise. How one uses that degree after college is up to an individual as well. Personally, I am going to use my degree to learn this business. I will not throw all of this hard work, late night studying, and financial expenses away without results. I will use my degree to further my education and training through various occupational experiences.

Going into college is like going into a foreign land. The student does not know many people, most likely will not know the area, and does not have much money. More so does not have any. A college student will do whatever it takes to save a penny, whether it is getting a part time job or even selling their fortunes on Ebay. Living on campus has many benefits just as living off campus. Looking at the cost, the community, and responsibilities the student will have to determined the best living that will fit your needs.

To begin, one good thing about college is it makes you want your goals more. By this I mean, the hard work that you put into college becomes drive to make you complete your goal. In other words, college is like a videogame and your goal is the princess. The harder you work on the levels to get to the princess the more you want her. So in other words. One example of this is my mother, when I was younger my mom decided to go back to college.

At some point, someone has said that high school will be the best four years of their lives and college gets even better. So with that idea in people’s heads, they come up with their ideal image of the college. They start planning the perfect scenario of what college they will go to and what their roommate will be like. They often try to compare an unrealistic image and turn it into a realistic image, but they are unlike in many ways. Once students step onto the college campus, they will soon face what it is actually like to be in college.When people understand that college is not the perfect movie scene, then they will take advantage of expanding and furthering their education seriously. Going to college is a whole different experience and there is a lot more to it such as the rigorous classes and overwhelming school work, being more independent, and forming new bonds with others.

Leading up into the class I was both bit nervous and excited, since this was the first time in years that I haven’t taken a class outside of my particular major. As I was going through the course schedule, I had in my mind that I did not just want to take any old class just because I need it to graduate. So I came across developmental psychology and thought to myself that this would be a good fit because I enjoy learning about other people. Once class started, I was a little confused about how it the class was going to be, since I already had the thought in my head that I was going to be learning about people older in age. After understanding more about what I was going to learn from this class, I became much more excited because this is actually affecting me in my personal life now, as my wife is pregnant and due in December. I thought this was a great pre baby learning experience for myself, since each week I had the ability to learn everything from development, prenatal development, physical development, intelligence, temperament and attachment, gender role development, and development of the family.
