College essay: The word successful can have different meaning to others, success can be measured on monetary worth, items you acquired over the years, people you've met, people you've procreated with starting a family, those very same people are the ones you know and love. Success isn't for all, some will fail trying ever so hard reaching for that pedestal of completion in life, it's the drive of life to compete therefore there is underlying drive to succeed. Although a roof over my head, food on the plate could be considered successful for some, I want to go above and beyond the bar. Carrying on the endless tradition that is sewn into the family. Nobody is remembered after death, that's why it's so important in this world to make a lasting impression. Making others realise that when your gone, there something that was there before and it's gone. We humans run on interaction and that's why we need to connect on a higher level, of the electronic networks but the emotional networks, letting the tears of joy flow and feelings burst out. Just by going to a local food shelter you could feed a person with potential who then goes on to be a better person who gets a job, has a family just like yours, wife and kids, all because you selflessly donated money to a food bank. It's a good chance that won't happen but that does not mean it can't happen. If we as humans don't take chances we won't advance. We were evolved to take chances and if we don't take them we will never know what could have happened. My grandpa once stated that he doesn't regret the things he did but rather he regrets the things he didn't do, opportunities he let go. I feel really strongly for this phrase because it's very true and is a solid
