College Essay: What Is Success?

Success is a word that really hard to define, because everyone will have a different definition for this word. In fact, there no exact definition for the word "success". For a student, maybe the success means to pass all courses of the semester; for a business man, signing a importance contract and get a lot of money are successes; and for a president, leading the country to develop and make the people have a better life are success. For me, I also have my own definition for the word "success". When I was a kid, I really want to be a scientist, but after I become mature, my thinking has become more mature and my definition of success also

I define success as trying you're hardest no matter what and persevering through everything that you try. You may not get through the problem that you are having. Even though you didn't complete the challenge that you were having if you got as much out of the task that was placed in front of you, then you have succeeded. I also define success as when you set a goal for you're self or someone else sets a goal for you. If you reach that goal or go above that goal that was set, then you have succeeded. I believe that success is not just finishing you're work, test or challenge, if you finish it but do not do you're best and try you're hardest, then I believe that you are not successful in what you just did, but if you go as hard as you can, not

There are many different understandings of what success is. Some relate success to money, others relate success to happiness, but it all depends on the type of person.

“She’s pregnant!? Are you oblivious? Your life is over… Do you not realize what is going to happen? You MUST drop out and work to feed your family from now on! I thought you were smarter than this.” This type of verbal abuse continued in my brother-in-law’s family, but as buoyant as both my sister, and her boyfriend were at age 17, this only fed fuel to their fire for triumph. In this day of age, many unplanned pregnancies throughout young adults have discouraged their higher hopes and dreams. To be successful means to achieve your own desired accomplishments, which is known to be easier said then done. Some of my desired accomplishments that I want to achieve in life is to "make my mark on earth" ,become a legend and an example to others, I want goals on my list to be crossed off, want to over come any adversities that come my way.

Many people describe success as being wealthy and famous. That isn’t exactly the case though. Lots of well-known celebrities do not even enjoy what they’re famous for. A famed person could not be satisfied with their life, while someone who doesn’t have as much is very positive. Success can be a little bit different for everyone, but there are some specific qualities every truly successful human have. Some of the ways success can be defined is a person loves what their occupation is, they have achieved their goals, and they are financially stable.

Success in an ideal that varies from person to person. While most people may believe that success is owning a big house, owning multiple cars, or having lots of money, that is not true for many people. For example, a soccer players’ success may be winning an international title, a singer might feel successful after winning a Grammy. To me, success is fulfilling a long-term goal which for some people may be money and material items. However, my ideals of success revolve around my happiness and that of those around me, some of my successes will include graduating college and getting a job that pays well, or living a healthy balanced life, I also feel success when helping others achieve their own successes.

What does it mean to be truly successful? Is it to try something you have never done before? Does it mean to earn millions of dollars? I believe success comes down to three things: doing what you love, doing what your good at, and making the world a better place because of it. If you do these three things, you will accomplish a happy, healthy, and successful life.

Everyone has their own personal thoughts of what success really is to oneself. Everyone has their own definition and understanding of success. Some people think that being successful consists of having lot's of money, having material items, or even having things that most regular people don't have. Usually Material things don't last and can only make you happy for a certain amount of time just like money, people think that money is the major key to success but it's not just the only thing. Happiness and future are the things that I think are what you should get out of your success. Others would differ but Unlike other people I have my own understanding and It's not money nor diamonds it's more deeper than that.

One element of success, happiness, is defined differently for everyone. Personal happiness is easier said than done. It's craved by many and reached by some. It's something that's highly desired and sought after. And someone who can capture something so rare is without a doubt successful.

I believe everyone envisions success as something a little different. For example, one person might believe having a family and being married is being successful, while another person might view success as having a degree in a field of study and a high paying job. I, personally, do not think success and happiness are in any way connected because they are so different. Let’s take college for example, if your dream job is being a doctor and helping people makes you happy, then you will be successful as well as happy, but if you get a degree in another field because it pays better, you can be successful, but not as happy. Most people commonly describe success, as being wealthy in life. This is not the meaning entirely, the definition of success is simple. A person is successful, if he or she has very good payment at his or her work and if he or she is happy with the job, they are doing. Education really leads to success. If a person has good education, he or she can choose their careers and be successful at it. Education is a form of learning in which the knowledge and skills is being transferred from a group of people to another or from a generation to the next, through teaching and training. Any experience that has a formative effect on the way someone thinks feels and acts can be said to be educational. Apart from education, other different traits lead
