Goals All throughout life, from the moment you were born, you’ve had goals. Goals are made to push the mind into accomplishing certain tasks that don’t deem possible. From taking your first staggering steps into the open arms of mommy and daddy to years later stumbling across that bright-lighted stage, hands trembling, reaching for that earned diploma. Every task done is a goal that had to be reached. No matter the size of the objective, they all have a beneficial purpose. At this exact point in my life, being a senior in high school and taking college courses, I still have multiple goals that could alternate. I came to get my associates degree in economics and bachelors in finance. Doing so, involves having basic communication skills and being experienced when it comes to numbers. Which leads us back to why taking this English course is important. In the accounting and finance world, new vocabulary will be exposed to me for the first time. English is the root for knowing how to comprehend different types of communication. I hope to accomplish a better understanding of how to read and write like a true academic. Reading and writing expands ones vocabulary from using words such as ‘good’ to using ‘commendable’. After hearing new words, they stick with me and I continue to use them. Taking English courses, you’re consistently being introduced to new terms. Learning new vocabulary is a big goal for me this semester. However it’s not the only mission I want to accomplish. During this semester, Id also like to get a feel of how college works and really think about what I want to do for the rest of my life. To do so is setting myself up for a lot of work but that’s expected. I know of a single mom with three kids and a full time job that just graduated with her bachelor’s degree, meaning there’s no excuse for me. If I have to sacrifice going out with my friends or staying up a couple hours late, then so be it. Taking this course is a grand opportunity to prove to myself that I can handle college. Setting goals give me the motivation I need so that I know I am working toward something I really want. My goals are my reminder that no matter how hard the task maybe I must take each one of them head on to accomplish them. Goals may change along the way however the result of them will never, and that is the feeling of success and accomplishment that I will feel knowing I’ve done all I can and set my mind to.

Goals, goals, goals they're what people think about and how they are going to achieve them in the future. My three goal in life are to get in the college of my choice, go skydiving and to get a well paying job. These three goals are important to me because they are what I am likely to achieve within the next ten years. As I grow and blossom into someone big, someone bigger than who I am today I don’t mean just physically but bigger intellectually, and more capable. These goals show me that if I want to achieve them, then I have to work hard to accomplish them.

I was raised to live life on others’ terms and work toward dreams that I didn’t claim as my own. However, now as I approach adulthood, I’ve realized how much I desire to follow my own dreams and goals. My lifelong goal is to advocate women’s rights while providing villages in rural South Asia valuable opportunities such as a great education. My immediate goal is to practice my own culture in America’s diverse melting pot and be a leader in my local community as well as contribute to a stronger global community. Before coming to this class, I already felt prepared to write academic assignments. I took higher level english classes in highschool and I think that the class structure combined with the excellent teachers helped me prepare for college english classes.
For my Purpose paper, I will be explaining my personal goals and my purpose for sticking to those goals. My whole purpose for becoming an aspiring Graphic Novelist was to have readers come to enjoy and fun reading my stories. Be it reading it by themselves or reading it with family and friends, so long as they enjoy the story for what it is, then I am pleased. My personal goal is to strive to become a great Graphic Artist and Graphic Novelist. I wish to make great achievements while reaching this dream and hope that in the future it becomes a reality.
When I was a high school student, I wanted nothing more than to put my schooling experience behind me. The day that I graduated, I thought to myself, “finally! I am done!” After everything settled down after graduation, I got a job as a shift supervisor at a Boston Market in Littleton, Colorado. After about a year of working there, I realized that I wanted a better life for myself. So what does one do when they want a better life and their parents can’t talk them into going to college? They join the Military. So, in August of 2006, that is exactly what I did. Just about four years later, I finally realized that to get anywhere in this world now a days, you need to have some form of a college education.
All around the world people have to take an English course. The question many students ponder is whether you actually gain any knowledge from this course. Throughout the course of the past semester I have been much more enlightened on many aspects of life through attending the class of English II. The class has been so useful for me because it allowed me to learn many topics such as, the care and life of bees, the steps to creating a fictional story, and how to successfully win a court case.
The most important expectation I have of a college-level English course is developing excellent communication skills. Having excellent communication skills means I will be able to comprehend more things adequately. Everything you do in the life results in a from communication. My whole life I have always wanted to become a successful engineer, and graduate from the University of Cincinnati. Some of my goals in life are to go to the University of Cincinnati. Another one of my goals is to become some type of engineer. But as of right now I would like to be a aerospace engineer. To be honest I really don’t know what influenced me to want to become and engineer. But something about engineering always appealed to me for some reason. But lately my engineering teacher has had a positive impact on me and is really making me like engineering and the overall field. So I guess that Mr. Smith has influenced me into being an engineer. My plan b is to be an engineer too. But this type of engineering would just be easier to
