Capstone Paper
My personal experience with the Capstone course taught me a lot of different subjects and how to use different tools from the computer. I didn't knew a “capstone class” actually existed and to know what one had to do seemed scary at first since my work experience was not that advanced. It was because of Research Techniques and the teachers help on teaching me how to make the capstone paper and capstone presentation. Because of my late transition from Puerto Rico after hurricane Maria to Hartford Connecticut, US I don't pass through 3rd grade and internship. With the little time I had before transitioning to the Capstone, I had to finish the Methods of Teaching assignments and there had different topics about

When I first started my methods of teaching assignments, I had to work on 3 different types of work which contained lots of work and information which had to be read, including videos and articles. I thought it was more like normal work, as I keep doing the work I started to notice that the work was given before going into the internship, much of the question were about the way I plan on watching, helping and teaching the students. Keeping that in mind I did my work as If I was going to the internship to better have an authentic work made. Later on the year we had the class change from Methods of Teaching to Capstone, for me this was weird as never happened on Puerto Rico and I searched the word “Capstone” online, seeing that even College students had to complete a capstone paper, I was pretty frightened because with little knowledge to do such a big work was pretty hard for me. This took a turn as the teachers made Outline and Source cards to go step by step in helping the students, of course this was a relieve and with time I made the work and it became easy to look for information, creating bibliography and work cited pages. On Capstone there different rules to doing a “perfect paper” and looked really nice at the finished we added page numbers to
I did learn a lot from the classes. Every week, the person who delivered the speech would give really useful information. The lady Veronica from CCO gave us the tips on how to create our resume and what will be useful when you are having an interview. Although I am not going to get a job after graduation, I still got a lot of useful information.
This paper is a personal reflection of Team Erie’s performance in Phase One of Capsim.
CBT expects clients to take an active role in their learning, in the session and between sessions. I would implement homework assignments at each of Evans session and review them at the start of the next session. In addition, I would incorporate Socratic questioning, role playing, imagery, guided discovery, and behavioral experiments with Evan.
The Capstone class made me realize that all of my hard work in the RN-BSN program was evident in my ability to prepare an educational project that showed all of knowledge that I had acquired. Specifically, the Capstone project in Module 5, put all of the knowledge that I have acquired with RN-BSN coursework into successfully researching and creating an educational presentation (Boyd, 2017). This class has allowed me to see significant changes in my thought process and gave me the confidence to continue my desire for learning, researching, understanding, and educating

The AP Capstone Program is truly an exceptional course of study which will grant the students allowance for an outstanding future. The difference between a student who enters and complete the program is incredible, their personality and intelligence will dramatically revolutionize for the better. I believe Capstone will be able to bring out my authentic qualities and gain the ability to utilize them expressively in the forthcoming. Collaboration. This skill set is extremely significant when pressing to become successful in life, there are countless situations where working with others is necessary. For instance, the numerous group projects we receive and teamwork is a significant portion of the total mark. Capstone is perfect in this perspective
The video was very informative in describing how CBT can be used. I have seen CBT used frequently in our programs, however the effectiveness I fear is not as good as the data would have us believe. I think CBT can be used however only with certain clients and cultures. CBT have been criticized for focusing too much on the power of positive thinking, being too techniques oriented, and working to eliminate symptoms but failing to explore the underlying causes of difficulties (Corey, 2013). I work in a community with majority of our clients are African Americans and Hispanic. Most of the clients in the communities are poverty stricken, and have difficult lives. Using CBT which only focus on the now and positive thoughts can be a difficult concept
Looking back at project 3, I felt very happy with the essay I produced. I am not one to enjoy writing since I usually do not feel very confident in my writing. I felt the work I produced through project 3 was one of my best. I put a lot of effort into this essay and it showed in my final draft. With this being said, after comparing my essay to the rubric I gave myself a 3.64 overall on this project for many reasons. This essay in no means was perfect, but I learned from my strengths and weaknesses.
My plan and dissemination and implementation for my capstone project is to educate the nurses on the importance of teaching parents about the proper use of skin-to-skin contact. I plan on implementing this project by providing the nurses with the latest evidence based practice so that they can help implement this in their education in the NICU unit at Mount Sinai. Nurses are viewed as reliable source by the patient therefore it is important for us to implement good quality teaching. When I present this project to the unit I will make the following recommendations: to examine and reinforce the education among nurses in the unit and to encourage parents to attend a two hour hands on training course before discharge on skin-to-skin contact.
This semester I learned a lot about writing in English 151. It has been a roller coaster ride with these essays for me this semester. I learned step by step how to write a good essay and how to have your readers be engaged in what you’re trying to tell them. Each essay I did has taught me something valuable I can take to the next level of English. I feel as if as the semester went by I did not take my writing that seriously and that reflected in my grades I received in each essay. It made me a better student and writer and it will reflect next semester. In this essay, I will reflect on what I learned throughout this semester that you should apply in your writing when you begin English 151.
Throughout middle school my classes were all the same, I showed up, learned, received my assignments, and left. There was one class that was different; it was my Language Arts class. The teacher’s name was Mrs. Lorentsen and she was not the average teacher. For example, in her class we rarely had lectures and I can remember vividly my adventures with her. We completed assignments that were called Independent Study Projects (ISPs), Common Place Books (CPBs), and completed 3D book reports. These are all different ways of presenting information through creativity and problem solving. These foreign type assignments seemed strange at first, as they are different from a traditional classroom setting. I quickly adjusted to her classroom, and learned that I enjoyed this style of learning. Throughout the class Mrs. Lorentsen and I both noticed a commonality in my writing. Putting my thoughts and opinions on paper became a struggle for me.
I decided to take Pre-AP because I like a challenge, and I like to learn. Reading and writing are not my strong suits, but they are important things to know how to do moving forward in life. I thought this class would be a great opportunity to push myself, not only in the amount of work I will be assigned, but also that I will have to learn how to manage my time wisely. I am eager to see what I can accomplish!
In terms of sales and marketing, we adapted our strategy based on how the products played in each segment. Our strategy was to spend efficiently in marketing & sales to keep the customer awareness and accessibility high for the premium products, while maintaining a decent level of awareness and accessibility in other segments.
This capstone course has helped me to tie together all the classes I have taken thus far in the program as well as helped me to identify what skills and knowledge I need to continue working on. The capstone presentation, as well as class, helped me to practice strength-based language and be conscious of how I describe my client’s when presenting. It can be a habit to use negative language to describe a problem-saturated story and unintentionally describe a patient’s story in a way that comes off as stigmatizing. This class helped me become conscious and tactful of how I word sensitive circumstances. It was a great experience to present my patient’s case to the class and practice being thoughtful on how I portrayed my patient’s presenting
