How to Write Business Case Studies
The objective of this part of the course is to use your case study to help you solve real company problems and to make the learning more relevant to your experience.
The Business Case Study you are being asked to start today will provide information for yourself and the class to permit constructive feedback. You will have to use all of your research, writing and analytical skills to write your Company Case Study.
You must give enough information to allow the class to help you analyze the relationship between a challenge and possible solutions.
• If you are too vague the class will not be able to help and you will not derive the full ROI from your participation in the class.
• If the case involves analysis of financial data please include sufficient data.
• Data can be in summary form and need only be representative of actual data.
I will review all case studies and may ask you to rewrite and resubmit the case. Because of time constraints I can only allow for one review per student. Begin the case study with an introduction, leading into the analysis that enables the reader to evaluate the information presented in the study.
You can make the Case Study as simple or complex as you wish, but be sure to provide enough information about the challenge and its environment so your peers can provide constructive input about a possible solution.

A case study is an intensive type of research that involves a process in which detailed information is collected
A case study is a puzzle that has to be solved. The first thing to remember about writing a case study is that the case should have a problem for the readers to solve. The case should have enough information in it that readers can understand what the problem is and, after thinking about it and analyzing the information; the readers should be able to come up with a proposed solution. Writing an interesting case study is a bit like writing a detective story. You want to keep your readers very interested in the situation.
The case study will form the basis of three individual assignments that are to be completed at various points in the course.
You must use this format to prepare your case study analysis and recommendations for course assignments.
1. Analyze the questions associated with your chosen case study and discuss them using concepts you learned in this course.
This week, you are going to complete an Assignment in which you analyze two case studies. You will read each case and answer the questions included using the information you have gained from this course so far. Your answer should include an analysis of client strengths, possible interventions, and a reflection on the possible ethical issues and cultural influences as they might impact the case.
The key to doing well on this task is detail. Several sections require that you analyze information. This requires that you read carefully, think deeply and show your insight that you gained from the information provided in the case study.
Case studies are one of the first types of research to be used in the qualitative methodology and repeating the study several times will lead to the increased reliability of the study (Starman, 2013). This methodology is appropriate because it will allow for data collection results to be generalized based on the theoretical propositions and not the population (Harrison et al. 2017).

Now, case studies are considered to be more of an in-depth study that uses many approaches and data sources of a solo case. Percy, Kostere, & Kostere, (2015, p. 19) stated that when we do a single case study, we do not mean a case study of one person, but instead we mean a study of a solo research/topic questions. In case study research, an investigator studies an individual or small group of individuals with an unusual condition or situation. Case studies are typically clinical in scope. The investigator (often a clinical sociologist) sometimes uses self‐report measures to acquire quantifiable data on the subject. A comprehensive case study, including a long‐term follow‐up, can last months or years.
My proposed research approach is case study, because this kind of approach works best when I want to investigate my research issue—perspectives about the usage of mobile devices—in depth. In other words, a certain group of people from among all this type of students will help me most to understand my research issue. My exploration might provide me a better understanding through analysis and comparison on this certain issue.
