There are so many reasons that speed limits are important. The safety of those who are driving, and those who are not is first and foremost. Having a speed limit to me, is close to the same as having laws against drunk driving. I for one, do not see an argument against having a speed limit. Its nonsense to think that one would want to be on a road, where there is no limit to how fast one can drive. When we are young, and first get our hands on a driver license, driving a little too fast is to be expected. It is not however worth risking the life of someone else on the road, or even ourselves. Aside from getting a ticket for driving too fast, there are far more reasons, to enforce one. One who is new to driving, or even someone who is a master
These drivers not only annoy me, but they also endanger other people. Fast drivers decide to push up right on my bumper, when I am going as fast as I can, making it hard to brake, for the fear of a car going into the back of my small car. It is always funny how when someone is late, the person they end up driving behind is the old lady with no care in the world about whether she gets to the store by next year. Driving should not be stressful, but because of all the bad drivers, it becomes a task that requires fast reflexes and develops patience. I love driving, but it would be so much better with the exclusion of bad
No matter the situation there is no reason for someone to be speeding. Only in emergencies and you should have on your emergency lights to avoid trouble. Many people forget what they are doing, however that should never happen. When you are driving you should always be aware of your surroundings and you should be alert at all times and ready for anything to happen. In order to do this you need to be going at an appropriate speed and be prepared to stop for anything that may occur to you or any others while driving. I have learned in this experience that speeding is not something that you should take lightly and worry about it when you actually get caught or when something awful happens. It is not worth losing your license, money, or even someone’s life. There is no excuse for speeding and it is no one’s fault except your own. I am very disappointed in myself because I have been raised to follow the rules and always do the right thing no matter the consequences, and I was taught to always drive safe and do not drive faster than I need to. I never need to drive fast because nothing is more important than the lives of
Rather you agree or disagree with having a speed limit; or even obeying the speed limit. It is our morally duty to accept the fact that lawmakers created speed limits in the citizens’ best interest to protect drivers for minor and fatal car accidents. Some citizens still question, if in fact the government claims to set speed limits are really for the public well-being, or simply to make a quick profit. Of course, one thing we can
At the same time, they are the least able to cope with hazardous situations that arise unexpectedly" (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, 2014). Again, it is apparent the blatant disregard of traffic laws directly correlates to teen deaths in vehicle crashes. Teens underestimate how speeding actually impedes their reaction time when placed in precarious driving situations. Contributing factors such as wet roads or uneven pavement necessitates that drivers slow down. Unfortunately, speeding causes them to overcompensate resulting in many one-vehicle accidents resulting in death. Learning to understand the reasons why one should obey traffic laws begins at home through observation of adults. However, academic settings such as driver's education classes are the optimum place for these lessons because their structure provides in-depth training.
Having your phone with you driving has become a big part of our daily lives. While it is a great tool to have if there was an emergency, it’s also leading to our destruction. Every single day I watch in horror as driver’s text whilst they are driving. We have all heard for years that it is dangerous to use our phones while operating a motor vehicle, so why does a greater part of the population, mostly teens, continue to practice this dangerous act? I believe it is because the laws are not strict enough to be a deterrent.
Many states have increased the driving age at which teens can begin driving because of safety concerns. Some people say that teens need to understand how to handle situations or be more mature. Others would say that teens need to be more aware of the dangers that come with driving. The age requirement to drive should not be raised because driving gives one freedom, driving allows teens to work, and driving teaches responsibility.
Everybody goes over the speed limit and ends up getting pulled over why not just increase the speed limit from 40 to 50 so people don’t get pulled over. The speed limit today is to slow for people that have to get somewhere fast when they're late or just don’t want to take forever to get to one place. I hear people complain all the time because they get speeding tickets they wouldn’t get speeding tickets if the speed limit was changed.
I can't promise you that following these tips will guarantee you won't get a speeding ticket, but following these steps will help you have a better chance of avoiding the ticket. While some people may say that crying helps them get out of tickets, I don't believe that method works anymore. Police officers have finally realized that the "crying" method was just a tactic, and so they don't fall for that anymore. Your best chance of avoiding a ticket can be used by following these five simple tips.
Children are the future of America and the world at large, but as we move these kids up from Kindergarteners all the way up to adults we often overlook the astonishing 25% dropout rate in the United States. There have been many different solutions put forth to solve this but one that is widely used across the country and accepted is the no pass/no drive law. The no pass/no drive law would make it so in high school if you do not attend class often and or fail classes you will get your driver's licence taken as a teenager. Many people are in favor of this law but in truth, a law like this would be a bad idea. I believe that this law would be inadequate, and there are much better solutions than this
Driving schools provide teens and adults with lessons on how to drive. Every state will have their own rules and safety regulations on what a person needs to do in order to receive their license. Learning to drive will involve developing skills needed if you're in a crash, and how to follow the laws of the state you're driving in. There are different types of driving schools available. Instructions for driving cars, commercial trucks, and trains will require a certain amount of time behind the wheel with a teacher before you can go out on your own. Defensive driving courses may be offered for those that are required by law or just for their own benefit. Students will learn different tactics they can do to prevent a crash from happening. Imagine a large family oriented neighborhood with about 140 homes, a small knit community. The main road into the neighborhood is a straight road to a stop sign; it has fifteen homes on each side of the street filled with families. This road leads in and out of the subdivision to 110 other residents of Manor Walk, and is the only way to enter and exit. Let’s say the neighbors are late or in a hurry, and are rushing the only way out is on the main road. This means they are driving 30 to 40 miles per hour by your home just because they are late. Traffic activity is the most hectic on this road every day. The families that live along Manor Dr, now have to be even more cautious of their children playing outside because of all the speeding vehicles. Their children cannot freely ride their bikes in the street, because of the road racers. Many kids complain to their parents
I received a speeding ticket on Sunday 04/17/16 for speeding, ticket number 13313. The Officer who stopped me and issued me the traffic infraction told me I was travelling at 49mpg in a 35mph zone. I am not from the area, and I thought the speed limit was 45 mpg. While this is not an excuse, as I should have been paying closer attention to the speed limit signs, I wanted to make it clear that I do not drive, and do not think it’s okay to driver that much over the speed limit.
Maintain a safe speed. Maintaining a safe speed and going the speed limit are not always the same thing. If weather conditions require you to drive slower to stay safe, reduce your speed. Maintaining a safe speed will help you to have better control of your vehicle. You are less likely to drive off the road. You are more likely
The fast-moving car slams into a high curve -- flips on its side -- skids three hundred feet into a new department store.
Driving fast in a car may be unsafe but the thrill and excitement of high rates of speed gave me a rush I had never felt before. Seeing, feeling and hearing everything go by faster made the whole driving experience so much better. My mouth watered with envy as I approached the drivers' seat every time I went out for a drive. The automobile, as a whole, became a high interest of mine; the styling, the sound and the speed of it. I loved driving and I loved cars and all of this new found love was from the birth of my drivers' license. Such a simple piece of paper opened up such a broad area of learning for me; it was of much amazement to me.
