II. Body A. Topic Sentence: Even before Frankenstein’s monster essentially killed off virtually everyone Frankenstein held near and dear, Frankenstein showed strong tendencies towards the early signs of depression, such as isolating himself in his laboratory, that only became more prominent throughout the story. He constantly struggled with this depression as he relapsed and went between the emotions of remorse, anger and short intervals of happiness— which may inaccurately cause his remorse to seem false. B. Put a quote in context: He showed that isolation was his only consolation during one of his depressive episodes onset by the death of the William and directly after the execution of Justine. C.
