The Philippine were discovered in 1521 by the Spanish. It's the third largest nation that speaks English in the world. The country is divided into three main areas: Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. It has 17 regions, 122 cities, and 42,025 barangays. The Philippines were colonized by three countries Spain, America, and Japan. America colonized the Philippines, because they wanted to become an empire, and to expand more. They wanted to expand to have more lands, power, resources, more production, and especially more money.
